2nd time buying
I purchased one years ago and use it often, so when I started my own business, I bought one for myself. I wish the carry pouch was slightly larger with a compartment to hold the BNC connectors.

A Great way to see all 8 wires instead of just 4-pairs
I wanted more insight into all 8-wires that make up a cat5 cable. My previous tester only showed 4-lights that confirmed the 4-pairs of wires were correct or not, now I can tell which wire is at fault. Having both parts ( transmitter and receiver ) connected together makes it easier to see when testing patch cables, yet allowing you to remove the receiver for those longer run tracing. Slowing down the readout helps when testing crossover cables or confirming when on end is open. A plus would be a button to actually stop the trace or be able to step through the trace to more easily see the status LED lights.
Overall a great tool at a very attractive price.

Very good product
Being able to check various cables with one tool comes in handy. It takes a lot less time to troubleshoot when you can pinpoint the problem early with this tool. You can't beat the price either.

EXCELLENT RUGGED TOOL
This cable tester is used for maintaining and installing lines for surveillance equipment. It is extremely useful on properties that are equipped with a mix of analog and high-definition CCTV lines. It is built well, very reliable with much needed accessories, features with a nice protective vinyl case included.
The only thing I think this tool needs to make it 100% perfect is a little pouch with velcro, or velcro straps added to it within its included carrying case to secure the 3 BNC connectors, because I cannot tell you how many times I've unzipped the protective carrying case to have them go flying out. Other than that, EXCELLENT PRODUCT!

I needed to validate if cables in walls were damaged, purchased this to validate the cables. It was quick and very user friendly. Simple and easy to use. Also finishing a basement, will validate all Coax and other cables are functioning properly as well.

Excellent product
I was very pleased with this purchase. It was a fair price, and I was able to immediately use this product to trace much of the internal wiring in my home. I would strongly recommend this product to someone else who needs a similar capability
