Tripp Lite 500VA 280W UPS Desktop Battery Back Up Tower 120V USB RJ45 PC is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our favorite! We standardized on this UPS a few years ago. We use them on all our PCs and other mission-critical gear. The price is right and we particularly like the USB communication to alert us when power fails.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An updated classic We've used these UPSs for years. Tripp Lite has added features but kept the price about the same. Our only annoyance is the lack of a schematic for those rare times when the product fails. This is why we did not give it all 5 stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The unit does what I expected it to do. I purchased my Internetoffice 500 in February of 2010 for my home office. It has worked well up till now keeping my computer going through a number of power interruptions. I live in south Florida. It has recently become difficult to turn on so I anticipate a replacement will be required shortly. Three and a half years is probably all that can be expected. I hope the new model has a way the turn off the annoying beep the unit makes when it is turned off. I work late at night and it wakes the family when I turn the system off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works exactly as described I have several Tripp-Lite products in my home and home office. I use this one for my work lap top, television and office phone line. It works exaclty as promised and is a necessity in Florida where we have frequent lightning storms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Peace of mind alone is worth the price. Great product. Such an important item. It not only protects against power outages. but it also handles electrical spikes. My current abode has none, but my last place had this going off at least once/twice a day. It would sound then stop as soon as the spike was over and all was well. I would never be without a UPS ever again. When power does go out and that's inevitable. there is plenty of time to shut down all the items plugged into it. I would definitely recomment this product.
