Tripp Lite's MRV2012UL Inverter/Charger is the quiet alternative to gas generators - with no fumes, fuel or noise to deal with! It provides equipment with utility- or generator-supplied AC electricity filtered through premium ISOBAR surge protection. This heavy-duty DC-to-AC inverter with automatic line-to-battery transfer and integrated charging system serves as an extended-run UPS, a standalone power source or an automotive inverter suitable for rugged RV applications. Supplies up to 2000 watts of continuous 120V AC power from any 12V DC battery or automotive DC source. OverPower inverter output feature temporarily provides up to 150% of the continuous output for up to 60 minutes and DoubleBoost inverter output feature delivers up to 200% of the continuous output for up to 10 seconds, providing the extra power needed to cold-start heavy-duty power tools and motorized equipment. When hardwire AC input is energized, commercial power passes through to connected equipment and the battery set is recharged via 3-stage charging system with user-selectable 25/100 amp charger output. In UPS mode, the MRV APS system responds to blackouts and voltage fluctuations with a near-instantaneous automatic transfer to battery-derived AC output. Includes a set of high-current DC input terminal posts for simple installation (user supplies batteries and cabling). Passes sine wave utility or generator power during battery charging and UPS line power operation, plus efficient PWM sine wave AC output in inverter and UPS backup modes. Reliable large transformer design with frequency control powers resistive electronic loads or large inductive motors, compressors and other items with high current needs on startup. Optional APSRM4 wired remote control module with full status LEDs provides remote power inverter on/off switching and continuous status information (APSRM4 sold separately). Supports an unlimited amount of runtime with any number of user-supplied batteries connected. Highly adaptable to a variety of applications and site conditions with adjustable charger settings for wet/gel battery types and selectable line to battery power transfer voltages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this replaced a very expensive RV unit I replaced a very expensive RV Inverter/charger with this unit, 3 years ago. It has performed excellent. It is in my 40 Diesel motorhome, and everything works excellent. I highly recommend it to R-vers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced Once and down again I actually purchased this product through my local RV show and just two years from the purchase I had to replace it again and now the replacement which also paid for has gone out. I wish I had the same experience as the others with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome product and recommend it. I use this in a trailer that is a store on wheels to power my lap top and printer. So, far it has worked as advertised. When my generator kicks off, the inverter switches over to provide power and charge the house powers (my generator is tied to the heat/air system of the trailer).
