Tripp Lite's SMART1300LCDT Line-Interactive Tower UPS System offers voltage regulation, surge suppression and long-lasting battery support for personal computers, network workstations, home entertainment systems and media centers. Internal UPS circuits support entry-level PCs or individual VCR/DVR components during power failures. Prevents data loss, viewing interruptions, lost recordings and loss of component programming. Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) circuits continuously regulate brownouts and overvoltages from 92V to 150V back to usable levels, all while maintaining a full battery charge. Offers complete power protection in an attractive all-black cabinet design. Includes 8 built-in outlets, 4 with full battery backup and surge suppression for vital system components and another 4 with surge-suppression only for accessories not requiring battery support. Built-in USB port and included cable enables optional unattended system shutdown without data loss in case of extended power failure. PowerAlert software is available via free download from www.tripplite.com. HID-compliant USB interface also enables integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows and Mac OS X. Built-in surge dataline surge suppression jacks protect equipment with single-line dialup/DSL or network Ethernet connection. Built-in audible alarm and large LCD front panel display offers easy to read icon-based status indicators and detailed numeric data regarding input voltage, output voltage, frequency, load percentage, load watts, battery voltage and runtime in minutes. 1300VA/720W power-handling capacity supports entry-level PCs, home entertainment systems, network workstations and audio/video components.
Tripp Lite 1300VA UPS Smart Tower AVR 120V Battery Back Up EXCLUSIVE PRICE is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 92.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to be a solid UPS I haven't owned this long enough to rate based on performance over time, meaning I do not know how quickly battery capacity degrades. Having said that, in the short time I have had this it has been great! I live in an area with frequent power outages and this little thing rocks, keeps my home office kicking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better deal compared to another reknown brand...... Voltage regulation & UPS in one product! So far, there have been no power problems after 3 weeks of use. With a Bronze Class Power Supply, my desktop can survive about 40 minutes of power loss which is plenty of time to finish a mean game and sign off. I only use 200 watts in high-power mode and this beauty could easily do 600 watts (with less time available during power failures, etc). If you are wise about energy consumption (carbon footprints), this product is one of the best values.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for expensive electronics. The best for expensive audio and video systems. Plenty of protection and reserve power to give you time to shut equipment off properly and safely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy, reliable, functional Everything seems to go on batteries these days. I purchased this unit about two years ago after a different battery-backup UPS system (different brand) proved inadequate. I run a Windows 7 Pro system with 2 1-TB harddrives, four 23-inch LCD monitors, two laser printers and a 15-inch MacBook Pro (with a 24-inch external monitor). All this is my workstation, my home office system, and I need it to run 24/7. I probably spent $80-$100 on this baby when I purchased it, and every time there was a thunderstorm or some summer-induced brownout, I didn't need to rush and save files and close applications because the UPS would keep my system running for 15-20 minutes. Since these were brownouts, not lasting more than 1-2 minutes, the only thing flickering were some of the monitors powering down and coming back to life. This UPS worked so well that I forgot to replace the depleted batteries a couple months ago and my Windows machine would shut down after a brownout. Buying a set of batteries is a good investment (the batteries last for 2-3 years anyway). No rocket science degree needed to install these batteries. This week, a brownout happened and the UPS just beeped to alert me of that, and I had nothing to fear.
