This is my second unit purchase
I love this unit. This is my second one. The first has been running for a year and still seems to have full charge capacity. It runs 2 isp modems, an 8 port switch, a Vera automation unit and a 5ghz access point. All i need to keep internet running during power outage. The second unit i purchased is to keep my laptop/Home server running, it provides about 130 mins run time.
Going for a third to power a camera during power loss.

Highly recommend this product.
I use my SmartPro to keep all of my video equipment and tv. It works perfectly. We have intermittent short duration power shortages and it would cause all of my settings on my equipment to reset meaning I would have to start all over again placing all my settings again very frustrating. This equipment solved that issue.
It was a breeze to set up, no issues what so ever. It works seamlessly. Highly recommend this product.

This is my fifth tripp-lite unit
This is a stellar unit. It replaced a nine year old ups that also gave me great service. I only use Tripp-Lite for my back up requirements which include desktop computers and audio visual eqiupment.

Called Tech Support, got promptly to a software specialist ("Kyle") who very efficiently and courteously talked me through reset. Excellent customer service and excellent product.

Used on my PC, and Smart Tv's with cable box,DVR and sound bar because I live in a area with frequent power outages. I have been using this unit for 10 years. Had bought a different brand and was not pleased. Will only buy Tripp-Lite. Battery is easily changed and purchased. I always have kept a back up unit in case one is needed. Customer Support has always been excellent!!!

I've purchased this same UPS three times, and I'll gladly do so again if the need arises. It is everything I want: 100% dependable, plenty of both kinds of outlets (surge/backup and surge only); and suitable in appearance for a desktop. I live in Florida where outages occur all summer long during daily thunderstorms, but this unit keeps me working without a pause. The display provides some serious eye candy and is configurable in two ways: (a) it can easily be rotated to allow the unit to be placed horizontally or vertically and (b) it has a dimmer to adjust the brightness -- the range is from from nearly off to dazzlingly bright. It's a great value for the price.

Easy to Setup and Nice screen
This model was very easy to Setup and started right up as soon as we plugged it in! Having the LCD display is really nice for gaining information at a glance. My only con about this model is that if you can't lay it on it's flat bottom side due to space, you have to place the unit vertically on it's smallest surface. Otherwise, this is a great and reliable product.

Excellent solution for backup of home electronics backup!
The SmartPro has power conditioning, surge protection as well as backup. Blackouts happen often these days. It eliminates the frustration of having to reset and reconfigure everything after a blackout. Especially true with a cable box or DVR. It has a nice big display, which the brightness can be set, telling one the power status and charge on the battery.

very nice unit and features.
2 criticisms......the power cord from the back of the unit is too close to 2 of the power outlets, making it hard to plug in oversized transformer plugs from external drives, modems, etc.
also, the outlets are placed too close together, making it hard to plug in oversized transformer plugs.

have the smartPro sitting on my desk. Appreciate the compact size and ability to either use as tower or lay flat. Only thing I would want if I could design it would be a clock so when looking at the led screen I could see the time as well as the power info., Good price nice design. This product is pretty versatile for home-office use, it can be used horizontal or vertical arrangement. It can deliver 1000VA output in a compact size that other vendors delivers only 500VA. The battery: one unit 12V/7Ah is maintenance free and easy and quick to replace just unscrewing one point. Power bank provides enough reserve to save and shut down the computer in a black out, and then continue running LED lamps for hours in the house.

My SmartPro LCD 120V 1000VA 500W Line-Interactive UPS is being used on my office PC. I really like the large information display on the front of the unit. I have not had any problems with it and it was very easy to set up.

Where I live, the power is constantly flickering on and off. That's a death sentence for electronics. I needed a UPS to keep a TV, wireless cable receiver, and soundbar from frying. I already have 3 UPS units for other equipment.
I like this UPS because it can be used horizontally or vertically. The only thing I wasn't expecting was the fact that it is quite heavy. From looking at the photo it seems small. I should have check it's weight.
I know from previous experience with Tripp Lite, it will definitely do the job and keep my electronics safe. If the power goes out for a longer period of time, the UPS keeps the the TV and the rest running until my generator kicks in.

I am impressed with Tripp-Lite's products. Although they are reliable and perform well, I do not mean to overshadow the quality of their products with my next statement. They back their products 110% and they have the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life - and that is not an exaggeration.
I have dealt with Tripp-Lite customer service on two separate occasions, once with technical support and once with a claim. As a consumer, I would expect any company to meet the standards of good customer service. The first time I dealt with Tripp-Lite, that expectation was far exceeded. The second time it blew me away. What do I mean about being blown away? How do I put it? I would say that Tripp-Lite has set the standard for excellent customer service, but I am not sure there is even a term for what I have experienced with them. I had an idea of what made excellent customer service; Tripp-Lite went well beyond that.
Needless to say, I am a loyal Tripp-Lite customer and, as much as I tell others about my experiences with Tripp-Lite, I am probably one of their best unofficial advertisers.
I tell anyone who needs electronics, with Tripp-Lite's quality products, warranties, and unreal customer service, you just cannot go wrong with buying from Tripp-Lite. I love Tripp-Lite products because I'm not just getting a product, I am getting a whole company who will back it. As I said, It's impossible to go wrong. Without a doubt, hands-down, Tripp-Lite is the best in the business.

I've used Tripp-Lite for years, from some of their floor blocks to battery backup units like this one. It is easy to use, display is bright enough without lighting up the room at night, and I've had it catch more than a few brown-outs. With the power grid getting more 'iffy' by the year, you really need to have something like this to protect your equipment. Price of this unit is just right for what you get. Company has always been cool to work with.

The product has worked flawlessly
I have now had my unit for almost 2 years and we have encountered about a dozen power issues. although each of these were only seconds in length, my desktop, monitors and other devices attached remained on and fully function without a hitch. The only downside is that the cord is only 6 feet long and i have several other areas in my office that i would like to put this unit into production but the outlets are more like 20 feet away and extension cords are not allowed.

SmartPro is the solution for domestic very irregular voltage
I live in Mexico City, MX, the variations on the voltage are a trouble in domestic situations. The enterprise enviroments with a own transformator or sub energy plant dont have this problems.
In Domestic enviroments, tripp lite is te best choice. Time of life of SmartPro is near of 4 year of continous work (include the battery life). When another brands the mean time of life is about 1 year.

I can recommend a tripplite SmartPro for a domestic with a high requeriments or a solution for small office.In fact I only recommend tripplite for energy networks unestables.

Worth every bit of the cost!
This is my third Trip-Lite I have purchased over the past 20 years. They have all worked well past their estimated life. The important thing is to read their instructions and call or text Trip-Lite; they will respond within 48 hours.

The best you can buy
I Have owned a number of battery backups for my computers starting in 1982 with my Apple II. My TrippLite Smart1000LCD is by far the best battery backup I have ever owned. It simply sits beside my computer desk and works. I have had my power go out quite a bit in the last year due to nearby construction work. My TrippLite has responded on each occassion with nary a blip. The only thing I can about the device is simply, it works as advertised, it is the best you can buy

I just bought a 2nd one. Great product
I use one of these to protect and backup my modem, router, and main PC. I use the other to back up my TV box, TV, Ring doorbell, and router extension. With a replacable battery, and LCD info screen, you cannot buy a better device for what I use it. We had five 1-5 minute power failures in the last 30 days. These will save me fron long TV boot up times and rechecking all my devices.

I have used a Tripp-Lite product for many years and have been very satisfied with it but it was time to upgrade with this SmartPro. I like the flexibility in being able to position this in an upright or horizontal position. The design of the outlets allows for a couple of brick plug-ins without covering up other outlets. Very easy to set up. Perfect for my home computer, modem, and router.

Great product for basic networking equipment.
When we first installed this UPS would not turn on at all, even after charging for a few hours . After charging 24 hours, turned right on as it should and has been on ever since. -Tech support was fast and friendly. We have a few in daily use now, no problems at all and have been tested a few times once with a power outage. Basic UPS with AVR and many connections. LCD is nice for checking line statistics and health. - for more features you can install a networking card but costs near the price this product. Would be great for home use or non sensitive networking equipment. It's a basic UPS with a few extras, for the price its an excellent value. If you need more runtime or have sophisticated equipment with tight power needs, I would look into the higher end models.

Buy One They Work and Clean Power
Just got my second one after 10 years, replaced the battery in my first one once ~ 5 years ago and that battery started to die and I figured it did it's job for king and country. It was cleaning up the same PC's power and survived several severe lightening storms with power outages, some momentary when unable to be home to shut down and unplug things and the PC is still running and has been 24/7 for 10 years. No reason not to get a new replacement of the same UPS model, replaced the PS in the PC for good measure and all is well, all good and reliable. The first one did it's job and I expect no less from my new replacement.

Our power goes out Frequently and it takes 30 seconds for our whole house generator to start up. Our power has gone out 3 times sense I set it up. Thank you for the small foot print and plenty of power, its just what I needed. One of my better choices.

The perfect UPS for the application.
It is more compact than the UPS it replaced which made for a neater installation. We have frequent power outages and this UPS will keep the phone system and network running until the generator comes on.

Reliability is assured
I bought my first unit in 2006. It finally died last month. 9 years is all you could ask for such a product. It has reliably handled several power outages. That's why I buy Tripp Lite. I have T-L protection with smaller units on all my electronics.
