Transition Networks ATM Media Converter - transceiver

The Transition Networks® ATM Media Converter™ consists of a fiber integration technology that allows for the connection of one media type to another. Bridging the gap between the legacy copper environment and the fiber cabling allows for leverage of the existing network infrastructure and extension of distances between similar devices by up to 80km. The Transition Networks media converter is scalable, and users can extend the maximum distance by employing any 155 Mbps networking protocol.

The PoE protocol powers the device via the Ethernet network cable, which eliminates the need for extra power outlets for the transceiver. Full-duplex capabilities give the Transition networks transceiver converter the advantage of fast data transfer and let you send and receive simultaneous data packets. Power and link status indicators on the front of the media converter help you confirm the correct power connection and data flow. With a compact size of 3 x 4.7 x 1 inch, users can easily integrate devices.
