It's wide enough at the bottom that I can stack three water bottles and a soft-sided lunchbox 8.5" x 10", with room to spare. Sometimes I take the train and I like that the zippers layout would allow me to ziptie or paperclip them shut if I'm concerned. (The biggest zipper is a bit noisy compared to some.) Best of all, I look forward to carrying a bag after work that doesn't scream "Tech nerd!" and the blue will match well with my wardrobe without being flashy. Just right.

My favorite thing about this bag is the hidden pocket at the back of the bag where I can safely leave something valuable in. The bag's style makes ideal for everyday use. I highly recommend this Targus backpack!
