The "SLIC" (Spectralink Installation & Configuration Tool) makes provisioning the Spectralink 84-series handsets faster and more efficient. It uses an interactive "software wizard" that presents the administrator with a sequence of dialog boxes and leads them through a series of well-defined steps. Configuration tasks that can be complex, infrequently performed, or unfamiliar, are easier and faster to perform.
A small, easy to carry, standalone unit provides the connectivity to the handsets required to perform the needed tasks. The only additional tool required is a computer with Ethernet connectivity and a web browser. The SLIC is most useful for those tasked with installing and configuring Spectralink 84-series handsets on customer premises.
