This drive has been a fantastic replacement for my original hard drive. It is working flawlessly. My laptop was recently out of warranty when the original drive failed. Since everything else was working fine, replacing the hard drive made economic sense. Dell service in finding and purchasing the replacement was outstanding.

Replace your SSD
I replaced my 128Gb SSD with this 1Tb HDD and don’t regret it for a minute. SSD is so overpriced. This drive is still super fast. There’s not much noticeable difference in speed IMO.

Will be 5 stars for you if you follow the advice in the text
Before you buy, be sure that this 2.5"drive fits and can be secured in the HDD assembly (bay of your Dell computer. I needed to buy an aftermarket bracket to keep the drive secured to the assembly. Now it works perfectly and now I don't worry about moving the orientation of the computer from horizontal to vertical.
