Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use with an intuitive interface and the screen sharing works well What is our primary use case? We are using Slack for web conferencing. It is primarily for external communication with one of our suppliers. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature is the screen sharing, which works well. This solution is freely available to almost everyone. The tracking, integration tool, and voice calls are all good. The user interface is intuitive for me. What needs improvement? There should be better integration between Slack and Office 365. It should be easier to work collaboratively on files. I would like the text in chat to be more customizable. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for a couple of months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We have not experienced any problems with stability. We use it maybe once a week to contact one of our suppliers. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? As a user, I have not had problems with scalability. I am part of a small group that makes use of slack but that doesn't mean that it isn't widely used in the company. How are customer service and technical support? I have not been in contact with technical support. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We are using multiple web conferencing tools including Mircosoft Teams, Skype, and Slack. I would say that the user interface in Slack is more intuitive than in Teams. One advantage to teams is that it is fully integrated into Office 365. I would say that collaborative working on files is better in teams. In our situation, the focus of Teams is internal, rather than with external partners. What other advice do I have? Overall, this is a good product and I can recommend it. It's easy to use and so far, it has been reliable. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Public Cloud Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An easy to use, cost-effective collaboration tool with all the functionality that we need What is our primary use case? We are using Slack to collaborate between employees, as many of them are working from home. While I personally started using it a couple of years ago, it has been about a month since all of our employees began using it. How has it helped my organization? Slack allows our employees to share information on a daily basis without overloading email. What is most valuable? This solution is easy to use. Slack makes it easy for employees to contact each other and exchange documents or information. It is not like a big CRM but for internal usage, it's good enough. What needs improvement? I would like to see a special feature for multiple people to collaborate on a document, working on it at the same time. There are add-ons available for video conferencing but I would like to see that integrated inside of slack, without needing an additional license. Having a screen-sharing capability would be helpful. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? This is a stable solution. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We are only using the free version so I do not really know about the scalability. We have 300 users and daily, there are 60% to 70% of them using it. How are customer service and technical support? I have not needed to contact technical support. How was the initial setup? Slack is very easy to set up and there are only a few steps involved. What about the implementation team? We deployed this solution ourselves. It was easy to send employees invitations to join. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? We use the free version that does not have a license. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We may use Microsoft teams in place of Slack in the future, although this is not a decision that I will be part of. At this time, there is not much interest in moving to Zoom or Teams. We did not want to spend too much time investigating options before starting our remote work and because I was familiar with Slack, this is what I chose. What other advice do I have? My advice for anybody who is researching Slack is that it is easy to set up and quite helpful for daily common things. We use only the free license but it is enough for us. If we continue to use Slack after the current crisis ends then we may buy more features and add-ons. For now, however, we have what we need. Overall, we are satisfied with Slack. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Public Cloud Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A stable platform for video conferencing, but in-meeting content sharing need to be improved What is our primary use case? We use Slack for having meetings with one of our vendors. What is most valuable? The most valuable features are video conferencing and sharing content during meetings. What needs improvement? I would like the in-meeting content sharing facility to be improved. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using Slack for about one year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack is stable and we haven't had any problems. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have not had issues with scalability but our audiences in the meetings have not been large. How are customer service and technical support? The technical support is fine. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? In addition to Slack, we use Microsoft Teams as well as Skype. I think that all of these products are comparable, with nothing, in particular, that is an advantage or disadvantage. What other advice do I have? Overall, Slack meets the needs that we have. I would rate this solution as average, at five out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and supports multiple chat channels What is our primary use case? We used Slack for all of our internal communications during the COVID pandemic. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature for me was the different channels. You can make categories and then jump between different channels and groups. It is really easy to use. What needs improvement? Slack does not have videoconferencing capabilities, which would have been nice. It would be helpful if they added this feature in the future. The addition of more chat features such as sending GIFs and emoticons would be an improvement. For how long have I used the solution? We were using Slack for about three months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is good. It had never failed us. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is widely used in our organization, although I cannot say how many users in total. In our department, there are 14,000 employees. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We were using Slack and then during the COVID pandemic, we switched to Zoom. Now, we have installed Microsoft Teams and are working with it. I think it would be excellent if they combined Slack and Zoom. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is easy. I had set something up wrong because I didn't make it private versus public, although I had not read anything about configuring it beforehand. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? My understanding is that we were using the free version. What other advice do I have? My advice for anybody who is considering Slack is that it is a great tool. For us, it's difficult to talk with other departments, so this was the ideal solution. Overall, we really liked it, although it would have been nice to have videoconferencing support. I would rate this solution a ten out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A clean and efficient communications platform that is good for large teams What is our primary use case? I use Slack primarily for communications. This includes communicating with individuals as well as grouping people into cells to work on specific parts of a project. We don't use the features beyond just the basic communicative side of it. What is most valuable? With respect to being a clean and efficient communications platform, I think that it does the job quite well. It's very good for when you have a large number of people working within the team. It can be a challenge to ensure that people are working within the bounds of the project that they are assigned to, and Slack is effective for ensuring that happens. What needs improvement? I have found it cumbersome to create and set up groups, or channels. I recall having to go through the application, then back to the web site, and then back to the application. I didn't really like that and this is something in the interface that should be improved. If it were possible or easier to create those working groups within the application, without being taken into a browser and working entirely within the software itself, that would be ideal. I would like to see integration with collaborative tools, such as word processing software or programming environments and coding software, made clear, easy, and as broad as possible. It should handle simple products, all the way to complex ones. It should be easily embeddable inside a channel so that anyone can use it. I think that changing the privileges to remove restrictions would help the users to adapt to the platform more easily, removing bottlenecks. Having to request access for particular users is time-consuming and it would be better if more people can do these things themselves. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using slack since the beginning of 2019. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I have not noticed any bugs, glitches, or other issues with stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have between 30 and 50 users. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? A lot of the work that we're doing now ends up on Microsoft Teams. Whether I like it or not, it tends to marginalize and eventually push Slack out of the picture. How was the initial setup? I found the initial setup to be straightforward. You can also bombard people with reminder messages that they should be joining a channel or discussion. In fact, I've had less trouble with slack than I've had with Teams. What other advice do I have? From my perspective, this is a good product and I definitely recommend it. My advice for anybody who is implementing this type of product is to first consider what it is that they want to achieve, and then make the decision about which product to implement based on that. If you're trying to pick between platforms, like Teams versus Slack, I would recommend Slack for a variety of reasons. Even if you are using Teams already, I would suggest using Slack in addition because you can't go wrong. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good communication features help to promote collaboration between team members What is our primary use case? Our internal team primarily used Slack for communication with each other. If two or three people were working on the same modules then they were able to share code and work together. What is most valuable? The feature that I have found most valuable is communication between team members. What needs improvement? Customization is something that Slack is lacking. Otherwise, however, the user interface is very good. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using slack for the past one and a half years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Recalled that there were some bugs about a year ago. However, I don't recall the details or what they did to rectify the problem. How are customer service and technical support? I have not personally been in contact with technical support. When we experienced the bugs about a year ago, my team may have been in contact with them. Ultimately, the problem was resolved. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We primarily use Slack and Microsoft Teams. We know of Confluence but do not use it much. Slack is a better product than Teams. Teams is more like a chat window, rather than a development window. We were also having issues with Teams, initially, with the user interface when we were trying to create groups. We found that it was not that easy, or perhaps not convenient. What other advice do I have? My company has been acquired so we are going to align our systems with our parent company. At this point, I am not sure if we will continue with Slack or instead move to another solution. I have suggested that we continue using the same tools, but at this point, I am not sure. In my opinion, this is a good product and I recommend it. Slack is much better than Microsoft Teams. I would rate this solution an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enhancing team communication and collaboration through organized channels, real-time messaging, seamless file sharing, and versatile third-party integrations What is our primary use case? We primarily use it for sharing official documents and compositions instead of using platforms like WhatsApp. Although we haven't utilized it for meetings, the main purpose behind creating and using it is to streamline the sharing of official information within our team. What is most valuable? It allows to facilitate communication, allowing us to create channels for updates, file sharing, and photo sharing within our team profiles. What needs improvement? Integrating Slack with calendar functions would be advantageous, allowing for the seamless scheduling of meetings within the platform. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using it for two months now. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I would rate the stability eight out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Its scalability is evident in its ability to handle a varying number of users, channels, and integrations, making it suitable for businesses of different sizes and complexities. I would rate it eight out of ten. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We previously employed Google Workspace. Slack provides visibility into the online status of team members when the application is active, it doesn't track users outside of the platform. Unlike some other tools, such as Gmail, where your online status isn't visible to others when you're using it, Slack primarily serves as a communication and collaboration platform. What other advice do I have? Overall, I would rate it eight out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.customer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A perfectly scalable tool that is easy to use and enables organizations to stay in contact with partners and create workspaces What is our primary use case? I use the solution mainly for chat. I go on spontaneous calls with colleagues. We also have channels for specific topics or customers and share workspaces with partners. Some of our partners also use Slack. So, we use shared workspaces and channels, which is a very good way to stay in contact with them. What is most valuable? The product is easy to use. It provides an easy way to stay in contact with partners and create workspaces. We can exchange information, have discussions, and search for information. We create channels for technical topics. It is quite useful to find answers because others in the team might have the answers to our questions. What needs improvement? The integration with SharePoint doesn’t work properly. It might be due to an access issue in the company. It is quite annoying. Sometimes, we cannot copy a shared document, but it might be because of the settings. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for four years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The tool is super stable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The tool is perfectly scalable. The whole company uses it. We have around 1000 users. My colleagues at IBM have an even larger installation that works quite well. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Our organization has multiple tools, like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Webex. I can choose the one I like. I chose Slack because it is easy to use, and the spontaneous communications and channels are very useful. I prefer Slack for chats, channels, and exchanges with partners, but I prefer Teams or Zoom for web meetings, training, and webinars. How was the initial setup? The product is easy to set up. The solution is deployed on the cloud. What other advice do I have? I recommend people to start using the solution. And make sure you use the status feature and synchronize it with Outlook, so that people can see when you are busy. Overall, I rate the tool a ten out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A collaborative tool that helps to manage daily activities What is our primary use case? We use the tool for project collaboration within our team. It helps us manage our daily activities. We've also integrated Slack with other tools to schedule our meetings. I'm unsure if we're currently using a professional or standard license, as there may be some limitations. Overall, we're utilizing it mainly for collaboration purposes. What is most valuable? Nowadays, we don't need to visit an HR portal. Our marketing and human resources teams directly share details about birthdays, upcoming events, and important dates in Slack. Whether it's a training event, a company-wide gathering, or a social event, all the information is shared there. This keeps us all updated. It's very easy to share files in Slack. We need to drag and drop or upload them. The tool's mobile application experience is user-friendly. What needs improvement? We could see improvement in Slack by having an integrated meeting tool. Currently, we rely on third-party integration tools like Zoom to schedule meetings. It would be much more convenient to schedule meetings directly within Slack without additional integrations. It needs to have calendar and CRM integrations as well. One of the things that could be improved is when you are writing; if you press enter, it automatically sends the message. Sometimes, that happens when you want to add a paragraph inside the Slack tool. You can use the Macintosh command function to move to another part. Sometimes, it's not easy to delete messages. I'm unsure if you have a specific timeframe to delete. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the product for three years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The tool is quite stable, but it has bugs and glitches. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The tool is scalable. It has been constantly improving. My company has a total of 75 users. However, only 43-44 users use it daily. We have an engineer and a manager to maintain it. How are customer service and support? I haven't contacted technical support yet. How was the initial setup? The tool's deployment is easy. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The tool's pricing could be cheaper. What other advice do I have? The search functionality in Slack is currently limited for me due to my Slack license. I have a history limitation where only one month of history is available. Once the deadline passes, everything is deleted, so I cannot access older or former messages. I rate the overall product a seven out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enables communication with the developer community and has a very good portal What is our primary use case? I use the solution to communicate with the developer community. If I have any issues, I reach out to them for troubleshooting. I also use the product to know about upcoming tool upgrades. We use the solution as a community to reach out. How has it helped my organization? We use Dependency Track. I had multiple issues during the configuration. I contact the tool developer using Slack to identify the issue. The developer provided me with a resolution, and the issue was resolved. What is most valuable? Sometimes, someone has already faced issues similar to what we are facing. Instead of asking the question again, we can search the question and look for the remediation that is already mentioned. The portal is at its best version now. There shouldn't be any changes. The solution provides two-factor authentication. The integrations are good. What needs improvement? Sometimes, the servers are not available. It is rare, but it happens. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the tool’s stability a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The tool is scalable. We have 20 users in our organization. Only some people in the organization do R&D work. What other advice do I have? Overall, I rate the product a ten out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from A productivity solution to collaborate with other teams with Google Drive and Zoom integration What is our primary use case? We use the solution to collaborate with other teams. As a product manager, I need to engage with the engineering team, marketing department, and account executives. The solution suits collaboration, where multiple people work on the same issue. We use it for integration with Google Drive and Zoom. It syncs up with the official Google account. So, I get notified through Slack whenever I have a meeting or if somebody shares a particular document on Google Drive. It also tells if somebody leaves a comment on a document on Google Drive. I also use it to connect with my internal IT team. What is most valuable? Slack allows me to write personal notes to myself and set reminders for them. It has a send now and a schedule send option, so I can send messages immediately or schedule them for later. Maybe you don't want to send a reminder to a certain team now, but you'll forget when you have to; you can schedule it. What needs improvement? Slack is an official application, and everything should be tracked, but sometimes, we accidentally share sensitive information on open channels. It would be good to have if there was an option to delete messages within a certain time. You could still keep the messages in the background, but they wouldn't be shown to the audience where they were posted. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for two years. We are using the V4.34.121 of the solution. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable. I've never had any issues where it got stuck. I rate the solution's stability a nine out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable. It is a lightweight application. Around 10,000 employees are using this solution in our organization. I rate the solution’s scalability a nine out of ten. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We have used Microsoft Teams for collaboration. Teams is also for chats and meetings. Slack doesn’t offer meetings because Huddl gets complicated sometimes. Microsoft Teams has call features and collab. You can integrate MS Teams with your Outlook or email so you get notified of the meetings. I have to set up meetings on Google Calendar and then Slack notifies. Slack should set up meetings with Slack, and you can also take notes within those meetings. Slack is only for chats and as a collaboration tool within an organization, but it could be used to set up meetings and schedule meetings. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward. We don’t need any support for the installation. I rate the initial setup of Slack an eight on a scale of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy. What other advice do I have? Engineering and product management teams should always have Slack, as it is an excellent tool for collaboration. If it is a small team, especially one that requires collaboration to support engineering development. Slack is a great tool because you can also share code snippets, which will be formatted in a code-friendly way. Slack is a good tool for these teams and is portable for everyone. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? On-premises Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.customer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A versatile and highly scalable collaboration platform that excels in facilitating communication, document sharing, and integration with various tools What is our primary use case? I used it for managing competition-related matters, as well as for handling announcements regarding new products or services. It was also a go-to platform for tracking logs related to ticketing and service issues that required urgent attention, as well as for internal tasks like software deployment and operationalizing services promptly. What is most valuable? One of the key benefits is the ability to easily share large video files and documents without any limitations. It also integrates with ticketing systems like Jira, allowing you to add plugins, such as Outlook, to streamline collaboration with emails. It offers customization options for various applications, including integrations with Zoom for video calls and a wide range of other integration plugins. This flexibility in integration is a significant advantage. You can segment your user base into different channels based on shared access, ensuring efficient communication. One recent noteworthy feature is the collaboration space, known as Slack Canvas, which enables users to share and edit documents collectively. What needs improvement? It could further improve by expanding its integrations to include conference platforms, such as Atlassian and its products. Integrating with platforms like Medium for article sharing and tagging, as well as LinkedIn for publishing posts and connecting them to Slack, would be beneficial. It would be highly advantageous if it could incorporate calendar information from sources like Outlook or Gmail, providing users not only with meeting schedules but also a comprehensive daily agenda view. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using it for four years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? While downtime occurrences are not very frequent, there have been a few instances when we experienced outages on certain days. Overall, it is relatively stable compared to some other solutions. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a highly scalable solution, given that over ten thousand daily users rely on it for their work. As the user base grows, managing channels can become overwhelming, and maintaining them can be a significant challenge in such cases. It may require a minimum team size of around thirty to forty people or more to manage it effectively. How are customer service and support? We don't interact directly with Slack; instead, we rely on our internal support teams for any issues. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We used Microsoft Teams previously. While Slack offers numerous advantages over Teams, the one area where it could improve is in providing a more robust system for document collaboration and organization, similar to the functionality found in SharePoint. How was the initial setup? I do not have insight into the enterprise-level installation process, but accessing it privately is straightforward. You typically receive an invitation, a secure password, or an order code, allowing you to join the designated Workspace. Once you're part of that Workspace, you gain access to various internal channels, which is a significant benefit. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? When it comes to pricing, it is on the expensive side. What other advice do I have? I would rate Slack at around eight out of ten. It's a pretty decent platform that many startups and new companies prefer today, especially for larger audiences. One of the drawbacks or areas for improvement is the learning curve users from Microsoft-based products like Link, Skype, or Teams might face when trying to adapt to Slack's architecture. Slack's structure is quite different, and it can take some time for users to become acclimated to this new orientation. Once users overcome this learning curve, it proves to be a robust and highly effective tool that can benefit many users. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The user interface and user experience are wonderful, and the solution can be integrated with various tools What is our primary use case? My organization uses it for collaboration and updates. We use it for meetings. Slack can be integrated with Confluence, Google Meet, and Zoom. We use it for important events. We constantly check Slack for updates from our bosses, CTO, and CEO. What is most valuable? The solution provides spell-check features while messaging. People cannot join groups without the admin’s permission. Slack’s security is really, really good. Even if something happens to our mobile phones, we can still retrieve our messages in Slack. I like that we can integrate the solution with various tools. The product gives the best user experience. The interface is wonderful. What needs improvement? The product could improve its notifications. The notifications on the phone are delayed. The notifications on the laptop come on time, though. There’s a latency issue in the application. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for four years. I am using the latest version of the solution. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the tool’s stability a nine out of ten. I had an issue when I was using Slack on a Linux distribution. Not all Slack integrations are reliable. The version of Slack on Windows is far more stable than Linux. I did not contact the support team for it, though. I just deleted the application and reinstalled it. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I rate the tool’s scalability a nine out of ten. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is very easy. The product is deployed on the cloud. The deployment takes a couple of minutes. It has very low latency. What other advice do I have? I advise everybody to use the solution. It is one of the best tools that a company can use. It is specifically designed for collaboration within the workplace. Overall, I rate the product a nine out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for communication, easy to implement, and can expand as needed  What is our primary use case? We're using Slack to communicate with other partners outside of our company. In most of the cases, it's for external communication. What is most valuable? Basically, it’s great for getting different kinds of groups with different partners - let's say one with the IT, one with the payment solution, into one place. It’s used just to communicate and nothing more than that. It's just a better solution to use instead of Skype or any other standard application. It is easy to set up. The solution is stable. The product has the ability to scale. What needs improvement? The last time I tried to work with some other partners on the same document, we couldn't figure out a way to work on the same one. We actually have to have one person gather all the documents and then prepare one. It was actually taking way much longer than usual. We’d like it to have more capability for everyone to work on one doc in real time all at once. For how long have I used the solution? I’ve been using Slack for three or four years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The solution is very stable. It doesn’t have bugs or glitches. It doesn’t crash or freeze. It’s reliable. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I haven’t seen a lack of scalability. It seems like it would be easy to expand. Most of our colleagues use the solution. We have around 100 people on the solution. How are customer service and support? I haven’t used technical support. I can’t speak to how helpful or responsive they are. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We’ve also used Skype. How was the initial setup? It's easy to set up. The IT team didn’t take that long to install it. There’s nothing wrong with that. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I don’t deal with the licensing aspect of the solution. What other advice do I have? I'm not sure about the version I'm using. IT is taking responsibility for that. I’d recommend the solution. It's easy to use. You just kind of need to use it more often just to get used to it and see how it works. It's nothing hard to figure out. It's easy to start. I’d rate the solution an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Valuable for announcements and communicating between team members What is our primary use case? We use Slack for communication and announcements. The solution is deployed on-premises. We have around 65 people using this solution in our company. What is most valuable? It's valuable for announcements and communicating between team members. It also gives you the ability to have video calls and share your screen. What needs improvement? There could be a read function so that when you send a message, instead of the other person having to add a reaction, you know that the message went through. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for roughly three and a half years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It has not crashed once in three years, so I would say it's pretty good. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The scalability is okay. How are customer service and support? We haven't had any issues, so we haven't needed to contact technical support. How was the initial setup? It's very simple. You just use your work email, sign in, and that's about it. What other advice do I have? I would rate this solution 8 out of 10. My advice is to use both the mobile and desktop versions. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allows you to create different channels, have conference calls, and share your screen What is our primary use case? We use Slack for general communication, conference calls, and sharing screens because we have people working from different countries. There are 53 people using Slack in our organization. The solution is deployed on-premises. What is most valuable? It gives you the ability to share your screen and have conference calls. You can also create different channels. You can use it on your PC or on your phone. We recently had to learn about another program, and somebody had to teach from abroad. They could share their screen, and we were able to have a conference call through that. What needs improvement? Everything has room for improvement, so I think Slack could add additional features without making the solution slower or more difficult to use. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for a year and a half. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The stability is good. It doesn't matter how many people use it. How was the initial setup? Setup is pretty easy. What other advice do I have? I would rate this solution 8 out of 10. You can use it on your phone, not just on your PC or laptop. It pretty much works the same, and you can do almost everything on your phone. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Collaboration and communication solution used for internal messaging between employees What is our primary use case? Slack is our main source of collaboration and we use it for all internal messages. What needs improvement? The way groups are created on slack could be improved. Once you create a group of people, you can't add additional people unless you convert it to a channel. For how long have I used the solution? I have used Slack for one year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? This is a stable solution. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? This is a scalable solution. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is straightforward. What other advice do I have? Slack is a really easy collaboration tool to use and many companies are adopting this popular tool. I would rate this solution a nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Public Cloud If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good content management with named channel capability to focus projects What is our primary use case? I use Slack to communicate mainly for content related tasks with clients as they find it easy and quick to keep track of all of the on-going projects. Most importantly, it helped me to communicate with other content writers whenever I have to work in a team for a particular content project. How has it helped my organization? Earlier, while we used to communicate through email, it was good but it became difficult to keep track of all the projects and keep ourselves updated with the latest changes. Since we started using Slack, we have been able to solve each other's problems and identify all of the loopholes within a reasonable timeline. What is most valuable? Slack is a powerpack bundle of features that help small or large organizations to handle teams and their tasks. Personally, I love the feature that gives you the ability to name a channel as per task and include/exclude members within that channel to eradicate all other disturbances. What needs improvement? According to my observation, a large size file sharing feature is what can be expected, which will centralize all activities within Slack and that can save a lot of time. I would like to see the social sharing of blogs, announcements, or other news directly from the message corner. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for three years. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Integration with third-party automation services has significantly boosted productivity. What is most valuable? The integration with third-party automation services such as IFTTT and Zapier has significantly boosted productivity. We receive automatic notifications of certain business activities and planned events, instead of having to send out manual emails to disseminate that information. How has it helped my organization? It has encouraged more transparent communication, getting more staff members exposed to and involved in different areas of the business. What needs improvement? Many of the advanced features and integrations are built with developers in mind. More functionality and integration for other use cases would be welcome. Slack integrates with bots that automate tasks and add functionality. A large portion of these bots do things specifically to help developers do their jobs, such as accessing code repositories and sharing code with colleagues. It would be great if there were more bots and third-party integrations that targeted other groups of potential Slack users. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using the solution for 18 months. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We have had no major issues with downtime or with the apps crashing. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We are using the free version, which only keeps a limited number of messages archived. As our team has grown, we go through this archive allotment fairly quickly. How is customer service and technical support? We have not had to use technical support. Which solutions did we use previously? We did not previously use a different solution. How was the initial setup? The solution was very easy to set up. I created the team through the Slack web site, which automatically invited everyone else via email and instructed them to download the client apps. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The free version can do pretty much everything you need it to. You'll have to pay if you have a large team or if you have specific security and compliance requirements. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We did not evaluate any other products. What other advice do I have? Make a significant effort to get user buy-in right from the start. If people see it as just another system, not a powerful email reducer and productivity booster, adoption will lag. You really need everyone on the team to be on board for it to succeed. If even one person sticks to email-first communication, it makes everyone else rely more on email, which defeats the purpose of having Slack. What needs improvement? The mobile function is horrible. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Notifications rarely show up. Either messages will not send or they will send twice. What other advice do I have? The mobile app needs improvement. It consistently misses notifications. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A very robust, flexible platform with a nice web interface How has it helped my organization? Slack is a very robust, flexible platform, which allows for a lot more, not just chat. What needs improvement? Some features and plugins can be pretty obscure or difficult to deploy. For how long have I used the solution? Two years. What was my experience with deployment of the solution? It came pre-installed but also has a nice web interface. We did have difficulty deploying some features and plugins. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We have had no issues with stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have had no issues with scalability. How was the initial setup? It came pre-installed, so we did not need to do any setup on our part. What about the implementation team? Neither, as it came pre-installed. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It has a narrow set of features focused on team communication. I guess that's why it works well. What is most valuable? * Channel conversations, because it's an easy way to get to a few people or a whole team at the same time. * Private conversations, because they're simple, convenient and they work! * Slackbot reminders, because it's a simple way to set a reminder for yourself or a colleague, without messing with calendars. * Integrations. For instance, thanks to integration of our own application Woodpecker.co with Slack through Zapier, we get notified each time one of our users starts the paying process and each time they complete it. We can actually see the new customers coming on board in real time. * Slack is just a communicator, no more. It has a narrow set of features focused on team communication. It's simple. I guess that's why it works so well for us. How has it helped my organization? Everyone's up to date with what's going on in our product development, marketing and sales. We communicate faster and no one has any troubles learning how to use the communicator. What needs improvement? I would like to see if someone has already read my message, but that's just a whim, not really a necessary must-have feature. For how long have I used the solution? We have used the solution for over two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We hardly ever had any issues with stability. I remember Slack was only down once over the whole time I've been using it so far. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We haven't yet had any issues with scalability, but our team is quite small with only 17 people at the moment. How is customer service and technical support? In fact, I never felt the need to contact support, so I have no experience with that, but I guess that's great! Which solutions did we use previously? We used a number of solutions which were really only a feature of a bigger product. How was the initial setup? The setup was simple for me, but I was joining the team someone else set up. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? We're using the free version and some people from our team wish that the message history had not been removed, so if you sometimes need to go back a few months in a conversation, the paid version would be something to consider. What other advice do I have? Definitely give Slack a try. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most valuable features are the ability to communicate instantly and create channels. I want to notify users of messages that need immediate ?attention. What is most valuable? The most valuable features are the ability to communicate instantly and create channels. I can create a channel called #breakfastdiscussion, invite three people on my team, and we can chat over breakfast. I can also make a channel called #teamtalk and all the team can be invited. This is a great feature. How has it helped my organization? We can group conversations around different issues. The issues are entirely created by us, in-house. It works well for a small team with opt-in members. What needs improvement? I would like to be able to notify users that they have messages that need their immediate attention. If Slack picked up more features of Asana, such as ticketing and calendars and assignments, I would give it a rating of 5/5. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for a year and a half. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We have not had any stability issues. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have not had scalability issues. How is customer service and technical support? Technical support is excellent. Which solutions did we use previously? We did not have any previous solutions. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? It is free for us. What other advice do I have? It is essential for small team communication. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Code snippets and notification snoozing are valuable features. I would like meeting functionality. Valuable Features * Code snippets * Group chat * Notification snoozing Improvements to My Organization Messages are well organized and attachments are not removed from our channels. It’s easy to search for a message through their search functionality. It has improved my company by letting our team work efficiently together and quickly. Room for Improvement I would like to have meeting functionality within Slack. Use of Solution I have used it for six months. Stability Issues I have not encountered any stability issues. The program is stable, especially on Linux, which is a major plus. Scalability Issues We use a small team-based approach, so scalability has not been an issue. Customer Service and Technical Support The APIs are good and their tech support is decent at responding to questions. Previous Solutions I previously used HipChat ( https://www.itcentralstation.com/products/hipchat ) and the new company I work for uses Slack. Initial Setup Initial setup was a simple and straightforward. Pricing, Setup Cost and Licensing Pricing is not bad at all. Rated 5 out of 5 by from You have different channels where you can set topics What is our primary use case? The idea of using Slack was to keep non-business related talks from business talks. In Slack, you have different channels where you can set topics, therefore people will not divagate on a specific subject. How has it helped my organization? It has definitively made an improvement on our productivity. Information does not got lost in hundreds of less important messages. If you want something about a specific topic, you just go to that channel, scroll a bit, and eventually you will find it. What is most valuable? Its integration with different apps is a great feature. Also, for a deconstructed environment, bots, GIFs and customizable emojis are a great fun for the IT team! What needs improvement? Slack could add additional and better integrations. There is a lot of room for improvement here. Also, notifications are not as good as they could be (especially for mobile). For how long have I used the solution? One to three years. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really liked the Slack bot and its integration with partners to make the work easy What is our primary use case? It's our organization's chatroom where workflows and information are passed. We use Slack for communication within teams. How has it helped my organization? Slack has been very useful in our organization for doing communications and passing on pieces of information. What is most valuable? I really liked the Slack bot and its integration with partners to make the work easy and with proper flow. We can create a group also. What needs improvement? * I think it's the best till now and the Slack team is doing well. * It will be great if they can start using the offline mode chat. Once we are back online, it will float the messages again. For how long have I used the solution? One to three years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product is stable, but you need an online connection. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? This product has been doing well until now. If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch? We were using Google Hangouts before Slack. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was very easy. What about the implementation team? It was an in-house implementation and easy to set up. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? You can have a free trial also for Slack, and its pricing depends on the features and team size you want to go with. The pricing is good, and it's worth it. Which other solutions did I evaluate? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides integration between devices, effective organization of shared content, and syntax highlighting. What is most valuable? * Seamless integration between devices * Effective organization of shared content (documents, images, etc.) keeps team on same page * Syntax highlighting * Nice overall UX How has it helped my organization? Slack kept several remote employees working cohesively and seamlessly together, allowing us to more easily synchronize our efforts and work collaboratively rather than "islands unto ourselves," so to speak. Coding, writing, editing, etc. was all done in an effective manner, as a result. What needs improvement? Honestly, I feel like I am nitpicking when I say the UX can be improved. But it is true, incrementally, the UX could see an improvement through extensive tweaking and testing. For how long have I used the solution? I have used it for three years. What was my experience with deployment of the solution? We have not encountered any deployment issues; it was very smooth. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack has proved to be the most stable communication tool I have used, to date. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have not encountered any scalability issues; large teams seem to be handled quite well. Which solutions did we use previously? I previously used HipChat. The decision was not mine to switch, but I found the switch to be a very positive one. Slack was just more slick, especially with sharing content and keeping a history of it, visible to conversation participants as needed. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The integrations feature is the most powerful feature because some issues are of immediate priority What is our primary use case? We are using Slack for all office internal communications — to create polls, reminders, notifications for builds, etc. How has it helped my organization? Previously, we were using Skype and HipChat, but the issue was we had bad notifications systems, so that's why we shifted to Slack. What is most valuable? In my opinion, the integrations feature is the most powerful feature because some issues are of immediate priority and we want to get the notification promptly, and through the Jira plug-in, we are getting those. What needs improvement? I think the login feature needs to be improved most because I've been having an issue with logging in to the desktop app for more than six months, but still, it's not been resolved. For how long have I used the solution? One to three years. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most valuable feature is the ability to be a part of multiple Slack channels that are specific to our needs. What is most valuable? The feature that is most valuable is the ability to be a part of multiple Slack channels that are all specific to our needs i.e. a product, infrastructure, personal one-on-one, small specific group, feature discussion, IT assistance, company announcements, etc. How has it helped my organization? The quick line of communication, most certainly improves the functionality of our organization. Discussions can happen at the drop of a hat, in a Slack channel and a critical decision can be agreed upon to take further action. Triage of customer issues can happen at the moment of crisis and this is of huge assistance as to how we can get our product back up and running, when needed. What needs improvement? I'd like the ability to re-organize the channels in my list. You can favorite a channel but you can't organize them in a specific order, that fits your every day use. I'd also improve it's security. It can be breached easier than an email client, so we tend to keep more confidential conversations out of the app. For how long have I used the solution? I have personally used this solution for over two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Our Slack bots have issues from time to time. There have been a few times where the app was done but other than that, it has been a solid performer. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? There were no issues with the scalability. How is customer service and technical support? I have personally not used technical support for Slack. Which solutions did we use previously? We were using Gchat as a source to speak to each other but channel functionality is very important in Slack. How was the initial setup? I was not part of the initial setup. Which other solutions did I evaluate? I am sure that other options were evaluated but I was not a part of that decision-making process. What other advice do I have? Providing API connections to your bug database and any other database that you use, can give you updates and links inside of a channel, which is a huge help. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most valuable features are direct messaging and having conversations in channels. What is most valuable? Direct messaging and having conversations in channels. I love the channels feature, because it allows you to sort conversations. The only people who will see those conversations are people who are interested in that channel or are part of that initiative/project. How has it helped my organization? We have slashed our internal emails by 30% and streamlined the tools we use for instant messaging. What needs improvement? The profile feature needs improvement. There is little room to add details to this section. It would be nice to be able to add more links or have other ways to connect in this section. The ability to flesh out the Profile section in Slack by including links to multiple social channels, a beefier bio and a link to a website would be helpful for communities using Slack. This feature may not be as necessary for teams using Slack as an internal communication tool, but it would encourage them to follow each on other social channels and potentially spark more engagement across channels. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for just over a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We have not had stability problems. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We did have scalability issues. If you are on the free plan, you are only allowed 10,000 messages before everything is archived. This is a big problem for an alumni group which I am a member of that uses Slack. Our messages are archived every two weeks, which makes it challenging to search for former conversations. The price of using Slack would be $30,000/year for that community, which I think is quite steep. How is customer service and technical support? I've never used technical support. Which solutions did we use previously? I used Skype for instant messaging and LinkedIn/Facebook groups for community engagement. Skype is clunky and has an outdate user interface. Slack is slick, smooth, and easy on the eyes. LinkedIn/Facebook groups are cluttered and distracting. It's too easy for an "oh, shiny" moment to happen on those social platforms. How was the initial setup? The setup was straightforward. Slack is great about walking you through the process of setting up channels and inviting people to join. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Stay on the free version and use PaperBot in every Slack channel to "archive" conversations. This helps you work around the problem with 10,000 messages. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We looked at Skype for instant messaging and Discourse for community engagement. What other advice do I have? If you're looking for an asynchronous/real-time communications tool, you will not find any app that comes close to Slack. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some of the valuable features are managing notifications, status updates, and reminders. What is most valuable? * Managing notifications * Status updates * Reminders * Selective involvement in conversations with relevant threads when they are of value * Avoidance of email clutter * Bots which enable focused streams of information available in one place for the relevant, interested people * All kind of integrations: File sharing services, application performance management, incidents and monitoring alerts, which are flexible and easy to develop through an API * A powerful search through chat history to find references and pieces of information promptly * Recent threaded comments feature How has it helped my organization? * Increased productivity avoiding email "chat" and creating space for focused conversations which are topic or action oriented * Increased visibility and "situational awareness" of people in the team at their own pace (asynchronous), avoiding interruptions * Increased serendipitous communication and shared thoughts on general channels. What needs improvement? Better ways to help people get up to date when away from a conversation for a long time, or after bursts of a particular discussion. Slack has different features to follow up on updates when not directly through notifications. You can use Show Activity to see where you have been mentioned recently. You can mark items with Stars to follow topics in a kind-of to-do list. And even if you have a granular control on mobile push and email notifications, when you have been away for sometime, or visit the channel from time to time, and there are channels with a lot of activity, you can have some difficulties to go through the new messages since, without risking to confuse important from non-important conversations. Recent threaded messages help people center around topics, but still where there's people that come to the channel from time to time, they can feel overwhelmed to go through everything since last time. Some summary feature can help target most heat or important messages or conversations, or some kind of view of the recent messages by "heat" level (kind of the sorting algorithm of Facebook or LinkedIn for the news feeds). For how long have I used the solution? We have been using the solution for one year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We have not encountered any stability issues. It is a very simple, effective, and stable solution. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We have not encountered any scalability issues. How is customer service and technical support? We never required the technical support. Which solutions did we use previously? * Email * Mailing lists * Forums * Internet relay chat * Wikis In the cases where it fits best with the team, Slack can be a replacement and enhancement to collaboration, increased productivity, and reduced clutter in email. How was the initial setup? The setup is very easy. I was responsible for implementing it. It required a low level of expertise to deploy and administer. It required a medium level to manage integrations and to develop integration over other software towards Slack through its API. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We evaluated HipChat and Yammer. Microsoft Teams was not out yet, which may suit companies with a Microsoft toolset. Facebook Workplace wasn't yet available. Interestingly enough, Slack is even more friendly in all platforms including a native Linux client, and has an excellent browser based version. What other advice do I have? Consider the resistance to text based communication of people not used to it and those with a fear of transparent communication who are worried about the saturation of technologies. Some gamified training can help and advocate in order to guide, moderate, and curate the channels, set some "netiquette", and encourage use and constructive behaviors. People are getting used more and more used to text based communication through Whatsapp and other apps. Consider that it has a strong community across the world and that is a powerful source to leverage. This product is so flexible and powerful that it can be used as: * Virtual space for teams * Topic or action based rooms * A bot answered service channel * A back channel for events * A lot other use cases depending on team appetite and creativity Certainly within the right culture, it will enhance and reduce friction in communication. We used Skype. We switched because our parent company uses Slack, and we had to adjust. How was the initial setup? Pretty straightforward. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I am not dealing with pricing and licensing, so I cannot comment. What other advice do I have? Initially I thought it cannot be better than Skype, but after working with it for a while I can definitely confirm it is a great tool for collaboration. Rated 5 out of 5 by from I appreciate the ability to create multiple private or open channels. What is most valuable? I appreciate the ability to create multiple private or open channels. How has it helped my organization? * The ability to create ad hoc channels for certain projects has made us more effective. * The mobile app allows us to communicate on the go, which saves time as well. * Onboarding new users is easy thanks to Slack's great UI. What needs improvement? There seems to be several minutes of delay between getting notifications on the Mac OS app and then receiving them on the iPhone app. For how long have I used the solution? I’ve been using Slack for over a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? We haven't really had any stability issues. How is customer service and technical support? The product works very well. I haven't personally had the need to contact Slack's support. I did have a question about using Slack several months ago which I posted on Twitter. Their Twitter support team was very responsive and helpful. Which solutions did we use previously? We used Skype before Slack. We switched because Slack offered: * The ability to create multiple channels * A more user friendly interface * The ability to keep us more organized and effective What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I would recommend considering staying on the free version. It does limit you in terms of the history of communication and storage, but I think that these problems can be worth overcoming. This is the case especially if you are a smaller team or a startup that needs to watch where you spend your dollars. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We decided to just test Slack out first with no intentions to switch from Skype. However, the whole team fell in love with the product. At this current moment, we are experimenting with Workplace though. What other advice do I have? Once you sign up, try keeping things clean by creating multiple channels. This will ensure that individual conversations are relevant and that the team does not get distracted by unnecessary chatter. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real-time collaboration and simultaneous document editing increases team productivity What is our primary use case? I mainly use Slack as a collaborative chat, video and audio tool. I am able to set up a Slack room for different purposes and have all major stakeholders collaborate in real time. I enjoy the functionality on Slack that enables my team members to edit and collaborate on documents simultaneously. How has it helped my organization? Slack has helped to increase the productivity of my teams and organization. We have been able to cut down on subscription costs, reduce client delivery time, troubleshoot more effectively, and achieve positive results more easily. Its intuitive design makes it easy to use and understand, hence we do not have a need to spend much on educating our teams. What is most valuable? Chat, video, and call functionality has been awesome. The ease of setting up and integrating with other apps is seamless. Data consumption by the app is also at its barest minimum, helping to cut costs on the amount of data required to explore calls, video, or chat functionalities within the app. What needs improvement? I think the app is good enough, as I don't have any reason to comment negatively on it. The only area of concern that I have is with the inability to preview received documents without having to download them first. This could offer some sense of security and prevent downloading corrupted files or viruses.A "preview attachment/document" would suffice as an improvement, this will allow users decide if the need to download an attachment or not For how long have I used the solution? More than two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? With respect to the stability, the app functions well, without glitches. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? This is a very scalable solution. How are customer service and technical support? Technical support for this solution has been very helpful. If you previously used a different solution, which one did you use and why did you switch? I did not use another solution prior to this one. How was the initial setup? The initial setup is very easy and straightforward. What about the implementation team? The vendor handled our implementation and did a professional job. What was our ROI? Our ROI is approximately 40%. Which other solutions did I evaluate? I have evaluated both Microsoft Teams and Skype. What other advice do I have? This is a great app that has awesome functionality. A try will definitely be worth it. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The most valuable features are creating chats with combinations of people and the remind function. What is most valuable? Creating chats with any combination of people and the remind function. How has it helped my organization? We've been using it almost from the very start. It has helped us keep communication open between our international offices. What needs improvement? There are a lot of features in Slack that I don't use, because I don't know about them. I found the remind feature when I Googled the Pomodoro technique. I found this by chance. It would be helpful if Slackbot gave me some tips on features that I don't currently use. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I did not encounter any issues with scalability. How is customer service and technical support? I have never needed technical support. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The valuable features are group chat, sharing of attachments, and pinning items. What is most valuable? The valuable features are mainly group chat, calling, easy sharing of attachments, and pinning items. These might be basic features, but they make life much easier. How has it helped my organization? Communication with clients became easy. Different groups for different teams helped a lot in the planning and execution. Everyone stays updated with the progress without any ambiguity. What needs improvement? I believe they can improve upon ‘calling’, which was introduced recently. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for more than a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? There were not many issues with stability, but whenever they introduced a new update, the loading time went up. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? There were no issues with scalability. How is customer service and technical support? Technical support is good. They are pretty quick with responses and provide excellent support. Which solutions did we use previously? We were using Skype. We switched mainly because maintaining different client organizations is pretty easy on Slack. Other reasons include the powerful search feature, rich messaging, a more customizable interface, chat functionality, and email notifications. How was the initial setup? The setup was pretty simple and quick. The sign up form was easy and the complete onboarding process was quite smooth. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Slack is actually rewriting the rules on SaaS pricing. It’s free for basic use and offers some awesome features at no cost at all. I will highly recommend Slack to other companies. Which other solutions did I evaluate? We didn’t look at other alternatives. What other advice do I have? I am not sure if someone is looking to implement a product like Slack, but if someone is really looking for it, then it’s not that easy. Slack took many months/years to get to this stage. More importantly, they focused on small and medium sized enterprises, which was their biggest market. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think Slack is a very creative application to help unify communication across all team sizes. What is most valuable? The channels feature is the selling point for me. Being able to create a conversation for both public and private purposes through some channels is an absolute plus. How has it helped my organization? I was the president of a college event planning organization. Being able to have a conversation with my executives separately from the organization members was very convenient. With multiple events happening and multiple conversations going on, I was able to divide the conversations into their respective groups and create channels for focus groups. This increased our productivity and efficiency by more than 80%. What needs improvement? Archiving for direct messages made tracking back conversations very difficult once the group started to grow large. From what I noticed while using Slack ( https://www.itcentralstation.com/products/slack ), once a channel starts growing in its number of messages, older messages are archived. This made it more difficult to reference older messages. To be able to search for a particular message, you'll need to remember the exact phrases or the sender. I think it would be much easier to "Scroll back" into older messages even though it archived. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for three years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Stability was not an issue at any point. My team and I used it across multiple devices and platforms and the flow was seamless. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? We had no issues with scalability. I was able to create more channels as the team grew bigger. How is customer service and technical support? I never had to contact the support team. Which solutions did we use previously? We were initially using email and IM chat to communicate. We switched because the conversations became unorganized and inefficient when conversations started overlapping. How was the initial setup? The setup was very straightforward. Once I sent an invite to my new team members, all they had to do was create a password and sign in. Their channels were pre-assigned and they had no issues joining the conversation. It was also easy to navigate. What about the implementation team? Through an in-house one. Level of expertise was as great as it could get. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I had a relatively small team, so I didn’t have to worry about pricing and licensing. I only encountered pricing third-party apps and bots to help facilitate automations. Which other solutions did I evaluate? I did not evaluate any other options as I did not have a reason to. Eventually I heard of Ryver. I was not compelled to switch though. What other advice do I have? I think Slack is a very creative application to help unify communication across all team sizes. I will definitely suggest this as my first choice. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's fairly simple to get used to. Also, the cross platform experience between the web version, mobile and desktop apps is impressively smooth. Valuable Features: Having group chats ( https://www.itcentralstation.com/categories/live-chat ) and one-on-one chats in one place makes Slack conventient. It's fairly simple to get used to. Also, the cross platform experience between mobile app, desktop app, and web version is impressively smooth. Improvements to My Organization: More often than not, members of our team are on the go rather than in the office. With Slack we have increased communication between teams which has improved executions of complex interdepartmental procedures. Room for Improvement: There is some lag at times. Also, would prefer video chat functionality built in rather than as an add-on. Use of Solution: Two years. Deployment Issues: Nope. Only colleague resistance on certain teams. Stability Issues: A bit of lag as mentioned. Customer Service: Haven't experienced a customer support representative. Site help docs are fairly strong. Initial Setup: Extremely straightforward. Other Solutions Considered: Yes. We tried Skype ( https://www.itcentralstation.com/products/skype-for-business ), Viber, Gchat. Other Advice: There is a built-in cuteness factor with animated gif options as commentary. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mac version built into Safari has a lot of informative space and allows for custom CSS. What is most valuable? Mac version built into Safari has a lot of informative space and allows for custom CSS (right click > inspect elements) if you want it more personal and/or something puts you off in the standard settings. Tons of integrations and bots makes it unique. How has it helped my organization? Inter-department communication in wizarding world relies on paper planes while muggles can easily manage everything with Slack ;) What needs improvement? Readability. It's disputed but HipChat ( https://www.itcentralstation.com/products/hipchat ) is winning this battle due to the larger reading screen space. What was my experience with deployment of the solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Provides a more convenient and efficient alternative to email, especially for internal conversations and coordination What is our primary use case? We primarily use it for internal communication and coordination. Mostly, we were using it to share information and then, you know, use it more as a repository for exchange and communication among users. So we were using it more like an alternative to email, at least for all internal conversations and coordination. That's one. And mostly to share info and share docs, etcetera. How has it helped my organization? Basically, the fact that we moved to one platform and away from emails has helped us. Everybody can see what everybody else is saying, so we don't have to plow through tons of emails. The fact that there is a history already there for somebody to see, at least since the time they became a member of a group or a team, is the biggest time saver. We can always scroll back and look at the history to see what happened and react based on the context of the conversation or discussion. For me, that would be the biggest advantage of moving away from emails. What is most valuable? Our usage was fairly limited. We used it to communicate with our team internally, and, in some cases, we had Slack channels with customers as well. But that was purely to ensure that the information was accurate and there were no different versions. Everyone was aware of the latest happenings. That's the only feature we actually used. We never used any other features. However, I appreciated that it was easier than email and more comfortable than sending emails. The entire conversation is recorded in one place where anyone can go back and look through past discussions, statements, or situations. It's much easier than trying to figure out how to use the search feature in email. And, obviously, given that multiple threads could be initiated, email can lead anywhere. Slack helps us keep the conversation focused and avoid multiple threads that create more confusion. I would say that has been the biggest advantage for us. What needs improvement? For me, the only thing I can say is that every time somebody sent me an attachment, the attachment was listed somewhere, and then I had to open the conversation and go to the individual to open it. So there is no handy repository or an easy way to quickly look at attachments. For me, that was a bit difficult. I would say that having a small panel with a list of all shared attachments with whom I'm conversing would be important. Many times, I had to search and had some trouble finding the file. But that's about it. That would be a significant improvement based on my experience. For how long have I used the solution? I used Slack for a year and a half. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I would rate Slack as very stable. I don't think we ever had an issue with it. I would say it's a nine out of ten for stability. It was very stable. We never had any major issues with it. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? For my use case, I would rate the scalability a nine out of ten. Other than the limited issue of searching for files, I didn't find too many issues. But overall, it was highly scalable and served its purpose well. Our organization was small. It was about 25 people. So everyone was using it, and we had clients and partners as well. So we had around 30 to 35 people using Slack across our organization and external contacts. How are customer service and support? We used to reach out to our internal team, and they handled everything. If we ever needed support, we would go through them. What about the implementation team? We have an IT team to take care of the deployment. There was no maintenance required. Whenever there were situations where Slack was down, we were informed. So there was nothing else except for updating the client version whenever a new update was released. But that's the extent of the maintenance. It was limited to that. It was more like an app update. Since it was on the cloud, there was nothing else for us to update. Whenever a new update was available, Slack would send us a message, and we simply updated it. What was our ROI? In terms of return on investment, I think it was okay. We were pretty satisfied with it, although there could have been improvements, especially in terms of pricing. But compared to the alternative of using Gmail, we found Slack to be more efficient in organizing content and information. It was more time efficient and helped you save time compared to writing emails. It was faster than writing emails, but the ability to organize content and information properly is what I appreciated the most. I would put Slack around seven out of ten, in terms of return on investment. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? I would rate the pricing model a seven out of ten, where one is low, and ten is high price. It's on the more expensive side. For the usage we had, it would have been better if there were different pricing plans because we were not utilizing all the features that Slack offered. Although, there were no additional costs. What other advice do I have? I would definitely recommend it. However, it depends on the situation. There may be other Slack alternatives available now. Especially for internal communication and coordination, there might be better tools suited for specific use cases. So, based on my personal experience, I would recommend Slack, but it depends on the specific use case. I would rate this product overall a nine out of ten. They are delivering on what they claim. Whether it meets my specific use case or not, it's more about the product fit for what I wanted to achieve. But considering the extent to which we used it and its alignment with our goals, I would rate it around nine out of ten. Which deployment model are you using for this solution? Rated 5 out of 5 by from A collaborative tool used to communicate with other teams, but it tends to crash once a month What is our primary use case? I work alongside other departments, and we use Slack mainly as a source of communication. What is most valuable? Slack is a very collaborative tool that makes it easier for me to communicate with the onboarding and billing teams. What needs improvement? Slack tends to crash once a month. We have to keep an eye on the dashboard status because there is always an issue with attachments or sending images once a month. The application crashes out of the blue. There are issues in general with the application, especially the desktop application. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for about a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack’s stability works fine for us. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Slack is a scalable solution. About 500 to 600 people are using Slack in our organization. How are customer service and support? I contacted Slack's customer support because I once faced an issue sending invitations. It was an issue on their end that was easily fixed because they were super helpful. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? Slack's initial setup is super easy. What other advice do I have? Slack is deployed on-cloud in our organization. Since it's very easy to collaborate with the tool, I would recommend Slack to other users. Even though Slack is a very useful tool with many incredible features, the fact that it tends to crash once a month makes it a little bit difficult to work with. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The product enables efficient communication and collaboration, but it crashes when used on the desktop What is our primary use case? We use the product in the office for communication. It's our main channel for any communication. What is most valuable? Slack provides very fast communication. The communication is sent directly to me, so I do not miss out on anything. The product provides various channels to communicate. A channel is like a team, where all communication regarding a team is sent. The product gives the flexibility of having many channels. Communication is isolated and sent to the right person at the right time. Slack has a voice messaging feature. What needs improvement? The product crashes when I use it on the desktop. The product must improve user experience. It would be quite interesting if Slack works with Microsoft Teams. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution for six years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The product crashes sometimes. I've never understood what the problem is. It happens intermittently. I don't know what really makes it crash, but it happens once in a very long time. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable. We are a huge team. We’re about 40 people. All of us use it seamlessly. It achieves our objective as a small team. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? In 2006, we used IP Messenger. It worked the same way but could be used only in the office. We didn't have any visibility of the communication outside the office. It did not have channels. It had many drawbacks, and Slack solved a lot of those problems. How was the initial setup? The solution is quite easy to set up. Anyone can easily set up the product, whether senior employees, junior employees, or professionals. What other advice do I have? I use Slack on my desktop. I have it on my phone too. All communications reach me as soon as they are sent, whether I’m in the office or outside. I don't look at the product for improvement. I appreciate what the product is doing. I'm not an administrator. I am a typical user. I joined the Slack channel because I was invited. I have access to Slack as a user, not as an administrator. I used IP Messenger as a software developer for a medium-sized organization in Kenya. We could share files. We could send text messages and all of it. We couldn’t use IP Messenger outside the office. It did not have channels. For people who need constant communication and don’t want to rely on emails, Slack is the right tool for them. We can work on the mobile phone to communicate on the go. As long as we have internet connectivity, it is secure. We can create as many channels as we like and collaborate. We can also do voice calls and send voice notes. Overall, I rate the product a seven out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

We use Slack for Team communication and also for channel alignment functionality. We also use the solution for monitoring. Meaning that we integrate it with other workloads that we have in the cloud, so that we can monitor. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature is that we can easily integrate different workloads and the alerts are reliable. Also because it allows us to use it as a monitoring tool sometimes. What needs improvement? The solution should have less frequent updates. For how long have I used the solution? I have experience with Slack. What do I think about the stability of the solution? It is a stable solution. I rate the stability a ten out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? It is a scalable solution. A few thousand users are using the solution presently. I would recommend this solution because it has reliability of all the functionalities, the channel functionality, the visibility of the channel. And as I mentioned before, the use cases that we have with reliable alerts and monitoring of different workloads. So for me, the solution is very easy to use from that perspective. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suitable for small companies and stable solution What needs improvement? The reason we are considering other products is because of integration. It doesn't integrate with CRM or ERP. We worked with Microsoft Exchange and we worked with CyberArk. We have what we need, so we don't require Slack anymore. But I think it's a good product. The reason is we are moving towards a new CRM, so we have a suitable solution to integrate with the new CRM. We have more specific needs now. Slack lacks in certain integration. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using this solution for two years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack is a very stable product. However, with the free version, we only have limited message history access in the free version. But overall, it's a good product and a good solution. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? There are around ten end-users in my company using this solution. There is only one administrator for the solution. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was very easy. Which other solutions did I evaluate? Slack is a good product in its free version, but currently, we are integrating it with VM-sharing solutions like Dolibarr. We are also exploring other products similar to Slack. So, in about a month, we will be moving towards these new products and won't be using Slack anymore. However, until now, for the past two years, it has been a good product. In the new CRM RFP, we plan to use Nextcloud. We also use SysTrack, but it's free. That's how our organization works. We have our own server, etcetera. So, the only problem is we could not integrate it with our new solutions. What other advice do I have? I would definitely recommend Slack for small companies. For medium and large companies, I'm not sure. Maybe there are integrations available in the premium version of Slack. Otherwise, it is a very good product. Overall, I would rate the solution an eight out of ten . Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

I use the product to chat and huddle with company members. How has it helped my organization? It doesn't offer much in terms of improving the organization. It's just used for chatting, being in touch with others, and setting up meetings. What is most valuable? The huddle feature is valuable to me. We can easily make a video call. What needs improvement? The product is not difficult to use. Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A scalable and easy-to-deploy solution that enables seamless communication within the organization How has it helped my organization? The product makes communication seamless. There are around 200 employees in my organization. If the HR personnel want to reach us, they use the channels to put up messages, posters, and banners for workplace events or blood donation drives. They use the channels whenever they want to spread information about anything. What is most valuable? Slack is a really good solution. We can see whether our colleagues are available or away. If we need to share any information within our team, we can create a channel and share the information. We can share technical and non-technical information like, HR information using the product. Information sharing is the feature I like the most. The product allows us to update our status to communicate whether we are away or out for lunch. We can also make notes to ourselves using the solution. It functions quite well. What needs improvement? The UI could be a little bit better. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the solution consistently for the last year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? The tool is stable. Many employees in the organization are happy to use the product. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable. As more and more people join the organization, they are able to use the tool. How was the initial setup? The initial setup was easy. The solution is deployed on the cloud. What other advice do I have? I work from home. I do not use the on-premises product. If people use it consistently, they will understand how to use it and communicate with their teams properly. Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Effective integration with applications and easy communication with team members through messaging and calls What is most valuable? One thing I like about Slack is the ability to change the color of Slack. It depends on my mood. When I'm having a bright day, I just change the background color of my Slack, which is nice. Then, I need to spend on the mode. Another thing I love is that you can create different teams on Slack, and you have to give each team a legal name and use an icon. The icons on Slack are beautiful. I especially like the variety of icons available on PeerSpot. Another aspect of Slack is the ability to edit your profile picture. It's a visual icon that you can personalize. Yes, you can bring in your own picture and set it as your profile picture. It's a nice feature. Also, when it comes to emails, you can navigate your email through Slack. If you have an incoming email, Slack will notify you. If you have an upcoming meeting, Slack will notify you, or it can notify you about your meetings. I like that feature. Additionally, you can connect other applications like Asana and Trello to Slack. That's how you integrate all those applications into Slack. Then there's SMAX. I've used SMAX before. If you want to communicate with your team without using Google or Google Meet, all you need to do is send them a message on Slack. You can hold a call with them. The network usage of Slack is super cool compared to using Google. The networking aspect of Slack is excellent. Also, my friend mentioned that if you want to organize your day-to-day activities, you can create schedules within Slack. What needs improvement? Occasionally, we do experience network issues when trying to log in on Slack. However, I believe it's only happened once. It's not a recurring problem. For how long have I used the solution? . What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack is a stable solution. I have only experienced one network issue so far, but apart from that, I haven't faced any other problems. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I would rate the scalability a ten out of ten. How was the initial setup? It is super easy to navigate on Slack. So, the initial setup is easy. What other advice do I have? One thing I appreciate about Slack is that when there's new information or a request from Excel, based on your settings, a notification pops up and informs you that a new update has been added to the team. It's called "Wish It," and it's really helpful for my work. I love that feature. Additionally, if you need to save any important information, you can easily do so. Even if you accidentally close the app, the information is still there, which is really cool. Personally, if I were to rate it, I would give Slack a solid ten out of ten. Initially, when I logged into my system, I received notifications for all the information and feedback from the team I needed to access. It automatically directs me to what I need to see. I would suggest familiarizing yourself with the application, especially its features. Personally, I haven't explored all the features, but some of my friends have, and they highly recommend them. Slack has a lot of useful information and features that you can benefit from. Additionally, you can even create side calls or group calls for your team, like after a game or after work, which is super fun. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A collaborative tool that helps teams across different locations to have a common workspace What is our primary use case? The tool helped us with collaboration. Another use case for us was ticketing, where people who needed to take action could be informed immediately on Slack rather than over the conventional mechanism of emails. You need to look over hundreds of emails and then realize that there is a ticket. You can also collaborate to get document reviews done and avail feedback immediately rather than exchanging and putting it in our systems. What is most valuable? I am impressed with the product's calls and screen share features which are very useful. What needs improvement? I want a feature in the solution that will help me share documents only with the set of people that I prefer rather than all of them. I would also like the solution to have a feature similar to Microsoft SharePoint where you can group all your documents. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with the product for one year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I haven't encountered any issues with stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? The solution is scalable and can accommodate thousands of users. I didn't see any problem with scaling. My company has 1500 users for the product. How was the initial setup? We use the solution's cloud version. What other advice do I have? I would rate the product a nine out of ten. The tool is a great collaborative tool that works well with teams spread across different locations. It helps them to come together and have a common workspace to work efficiently. Slack is a productivity improvement tool as well. My company has migrated to Teams since we subscribed to the Office 365 suite and switched to a standard communication channel. What is most valuable? Slack helps me to read bulk messages. What needs improvement? The tool has stability issues that need to be improved. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good solution for communication and file sharing, but it should add a feature to schedule meetings What is our primary use case? We use Slack for communication, file sharing, meetings, text messages, etc. Slack has been so helpful for us. How has it helped my organization? Slack has made communication much easier in our company. I can text someone in the company or send a message. I can also have an audio call with a couple of team members on the go without needing to start setting up calls on Zoom or Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams. I can have that voice or video call right away on Slack. What is most valuable? The huddle feature that allows you to get on a call with a colleague is one of the best features of Slack. You can call someone on the go with the huddle feature and save the time of having to set up Zoom calls or Google Meet. What needs improvement? Slack should add a feature to schedule meetings. Users should get notifications or prompts regarding the meeting time so they can attend that meeting. Sometimes, when Slack is down, there is a delay in messages being delivered. Such delays also need to be improved in Slack. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for the past five years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate Slack a six out of ten for stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I rate Slack a seven out of ten for scalability. How was the initial setup? Slack’s initial setup was not difficult. What other advice do I have? I use the latest version of Slack. Slack is deployed on-cloud in our organization. I highly recommend Slack for teams that want to communicate and collaborate. Slack can integrate with other apps like Google Calendar and Loom for voice and video recording. I recommend Slack for teams that want to scale and collaborate. Overall, I rate Slack a seven out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

Slack is a collaboration tool where you can create specific topic-related channels and manage different threads on different talks so people can interact and maintain a chat. You can use the solution to share files and to do a one-on-one or a group conversation. It's a multilateral functional collaboration platform. What needs improvement? Slack is difficult to scale. When scaled on a large scale, the solution's cost becomes a matter of concern for organizations. It is a large project to migrate from Slack to Microsoft Teams or any other platform. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A competitive solution that improves collaboration and productivity What is our primary use case? I categorize Slack as a modern workstream collaboration and automation tool. The simple use cases are peer-to-peer or group chats and collaborating in channels. I might create a channel based on certain needs, like a project or a particular subject, but it's not just chat, there are also features like the sharing of information and knowledge. I also use Slack for document collaboration. Then you get into more advanced features for tools with things like automation, such as being able to integrate with ServiceNow. This ITSM platform opens up tickets and automatically creates a channel where service teams can easily communicate about that event or that outage if it's a high-priority ticket. What is most valuable? Twenty years ago, we communicated through email, where we would send documents back and forth with different versions as people changed them. If we sent the documents to a group of people, we would have to figure out the versions and who modified what. When we work with a platform like Slack, we can have one source without merging different document versions. That makes people more productive and collaborative at the end of the day. What needs improvement? Slack is not as strong as competitors like Teams when it comes to things like video meetings and audio meetings. Teams is more of a Zoom-like product, where you can get into virtual conferences and work through issues and so on, and that's where Slack doesn't scale as well as Microsoft Teams. I don't know if they will improve this because Zoom is a Slack partner, so Zoom themselves use Slack. For how long have I used the solution? I have six years of experience with Slack. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack is very reliable. I've seen two significant events in the past six or seven years I've used it. Since you are relying on something that's not on-premises and using the Internet to connect to it, a robust Internet networking capability is very important. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Slack's scalability is massive, and there are companies out there with hundreds of thousands of users. If you're talking about the free version, it is limited in its capabilities. But the enterprise edition of Slack can scale absolutely massively. How was the initial setup? Since it is a SaaS platform, there are different versions of Slack. There's an enterprise, encrypted version, and the initial setup is relatively easy. The most important thing is preventing the service from becoming the wild, Wild West by putting some standards and controls around it so you don't have everybody arbitrarily creating channels on Slack, and that channels are either created through a set of Slack administrators or automation based on a specific need, like a high-priority incident. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The pricing can range up to about twenty bucks a user. You can spend a lot of money, especially if you're talking about thousands of users. Generally speaking, Slack is less expensive than Teams. Slack doesn't include all the bells and whistles that Teams does. So you can go from a $6 license in Microsoft 365 to a $50 license per user per month, and there's a lot more you can do in the $50 license. What other advice do I have? Slack has been around for a long time, and it's an industry leader. Of course, Salesforce owns Slack now and is starting to integrate into it. I have attended Slack conferences and met with product and support managers. They're an excellent organization. Choosing Slack depends on the organization's size, so you need to plan your deployment and make sure you put some controls and standards in place and not just turn it on. If you're a Slack shop, you will have to have something like a Zoom or Microsoft Teams platform for when you need to do video conferencing internally or externally. Many shops have both products, but they use Slack for collaboration, chat, and so on, and use Teams for video and audio conferences. At the end of the day, Slack is missing those capabilities, so either you're going to be a Slack/Zoom shop or you're going to be a Microsoft Teams shop. I rate Slack an eight out of ten. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps to communicate with cross-functional teams internally What is our primary use case? We use Slack for internal communication between cross-functional teams. What is most valuable? I like the tool's ability to send voice mail. We can also search for conversations easily in Slack. What needs improvement? The tool should be able to fetch a conversation when we search for it even if it is in the thread. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using the product for a year. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I would rate Slack's stability a seven out of ten. It is difficult to open the tool at times and it restarts again for some reason. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I would rate the tool's scalability a seven out of ten. How was the initial setup? Slack is easy to set up. What other advice do I have? I use Slack's desktop application. I would rate it an eight out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution? I would rate Slack's scalability a nine out of ten. My company has 60 users for the solution. How was the initial setup? Slack's installation is very simple and I don't think I spent more than five minutes to complete it. What other advice do I have? I would rate Slack a nine out of ten. I use the application on my desktop and I don't use a mobile version now. However, I may use it in the future. Rated 5 out of 5 by from A highly stable and affordable solution that can be used for team collaborations What is our primary use case? I use Slack for team collaboration. What is most valuable? Tasks and team huddles are the most valuable features of Slack. What needs improvement? When I share any file with my colleagues, that file remains in Slack storage even after I delete the message. I need to manually delete them one by one. It would be better if Slack had a 'select all' option to delete all the files. For how long have I used the solution? I have been using Slack for four years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Slack is a stable solution. I rate Slack ten out of ten for stability. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Around 20 users are using Slack in our organization, and we have plans to increase the usage. I rate Slack an eight out of ten for scalability. How was the initial setup? On a scale from one to ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy, I rate Slack a seven out of ten for the ease of its initial setup. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? The solution’s pricing is cheap. What other advice do I have? I use Slack on the cloud as a SaaS service. I recommend Slack for better conversations in a product team. Overall, I rate Slack a nine out of ten. Disclaimer: I am a real user, and this review is based on my own experience and opinions.
