I have dropped my iPhone XR several times while on trail survey hikes in the Payson National Forest's Highline Trail with Volunteers for Outdoor Arizoan (VOAz. One such incident was a 60 foot drop over "the side" requirinbg a rope descent to retireve my iPhone. It was still recording dynamics from the GPS app I had running at the time. I have the same iPhone and recently purchase a new Otterbox Defender case (the proterctive hinge gates get weakover time and tear off easily). I love it!

Honestly, I have mixed emotions on recommended this product due to the fact that it offers less protection than your previous products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from None better than Otterbox Defender! When I purchased my iPhone XR a few years ago, I purchased an otterbox Defender. I use my iPhone as a tool to obtain pictures of failed locomotive components. The environment is not kind to this important tool. So, as the original Otterbox Defender began to wear out, I knew that I needed to replace it in kind. No need to do anymore research into what is needed to protect my IPhone XR as this is what and is all I needed. Thank you Otterbox for making such a device!

It had been run over probably 50 times by the time I was able to retrieve it, and the case/screen protector were pretty banged up, but my phone wasn't even nicked or scratched at all!

They had a case which was similar to the defender which I had previously but lacked security that the otter box brand had. I bought it anyway and was worried so I went and got the defender and never looked back. Note that losing my phone was not the fault of my previous defender case but of my carelessness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my phone yesterday! Yesterday while at work on a lift I accidentally dropped my phone, and it fell straight down to the concrete. I was up over 30ft in the air. The phone was not only perfectly fine after the fall the otterbox defender case itself only had a scratch on the rubber! Absolutely amazing! I have been using these cases for over 10 years and they always pay off but this is just incredible. Everybody at work that witnessed this is now buying one if they didn’t already have one.

As always, their lifetime warranty is the best. The only adjustment I had to make with this new product was no plastic screen like my old one had. I didn’t that fantastic product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad for the Guarantee I’ve had this style case for over a year and a half and have had to replace it once due to the charging port cover ripping off. My current case is now warped at the bottom which is annoying as it causes the frame to catch dust/debris. I live in an extremely humid climate and find that as soon as summer hits, typical phone use and pocket carrying warps the case. The material seems to expand. Glad for the warranty but won’t be selecting the defender for my next phone model. I also used the defender with my ancient galaxy S4 with the same issues. Phone still looks great but easing in and out of the pockets/purses become problematic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’ll never buy another case again. I got my otter box for my IPhone XR when I bought said phone close to 2-3 years ago. It’s seen A LOT of drops, scratches, bangs, and just all around abuse. But today...today Otter Box proved themselves and has left me a lifelong loyal customer. Today I accidentally left my iPhone on the front bumper of my Jeep. It of course fell off in an intersection and was run over multiple times. When I was finally able to retrieve it I was happily surprised to find the case and screen protector were beat to heck but my phone was 100% intact. Between my Otter Box case and the super strong screen protector I had (both compliments of Verizon my phone was 100% protected. I thought for sure when I realized what happened I’d be looking at a new phone. Boy was I happy I was wrong. I won’t buy another brand of phone case again. Otter Box all the way.

It covers all of his IPhone 11 in the best places to protect his phone. We purchased a tempered glass screen protector as the case doesn't have anything on it to protect the screen.

After hours of looking for my phone, I realized I left it on top of my car (dumb, I know.. and had to literally go back and search for it on the highway... after hours of my phone being left out on the highway while cars drove over it, my OtterBox somehow completely preserved my iphone!! I was not expecting my phone to be fully intact and working at all but my phone only made it out with a few scratches - I'm SO happy with my experience with OtterBox - fully worth the price if you constantly rush and forget things! :)

I had jumped off my lift to move a pallet into position, and my phone fell and hit the ground. My coworker friend said "Oh man, your phone", but I didn't even care. I knew that it was securely protected in it's new defender case. When I picked it up, I couldn't find one mark on it. That's why I use OtterBox.

I placed my phone on the roof of the car and neglected to grab it once food and people were loaded into car. We left restaurant and my phone flew off the top of the car as we passed over a small bridge in Amelia Island, FL. The phone hit the road, bounced off the cement wall protecting the walkway on bridge and remained on the side of the road until we realized I had left it on the roof. We returned to the bridge approximately 30minutes later to find my phone lying on the road, in total working order! Only a minor scratch on the left side. I am a firm believer in OtterBox and have had one on my iPhone since the early 2000's. Thank you for providing such an amazing product, I reccommend you to all my friends and colleagues. graciously, pj hicks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW, tough and durable Bought screenless Outerbox a while back, 3-4th one I had for various phones but had good luck. I recently left my phone on the back of my truck and hit the highway. Needless to say, I lost my iphone XR. Luckily used a phone tracker to locate phone 5 miles away, and 3 feet off the road in the ditch. It had bounced on the roadway @ 65MPH before landing in 4" of grass. Ironically, phone work and barely had and damage to case. WOW! I am a believer in it.
