Thanks Otter, the holster is great. You have covered off on both of these. When out and about, the phone is snug and secure by my side. Easy to get to and easy to remove from the holster.

The holster has a defective design, and has for many years across many models. The clip is weakest just below the spring pivot and over time the plastic fatigues and cracks. This holster purchase was to replace that one, barely over a year old.

It has definitely saved us money in the long run in protecting our IPHONES in our manufacturing environment. The holster, however, is something that we wish would be improved upon. I am constantly replacing them. It is probably the worst product that I have ever seen!! Attached is a photo of the many holsters that I have had to replace over the years.

Just put together the defender otter box for iPhone7 plus. over all not a bad product, having problems with the screen protection plastic not touching the phone glass. I had the exact issue with my iPhone 6 plus and it has not changed with the new Otter box defender for iPhone7 case.

Thankfully, the Otter Box is awesome at protecting the phone from a drop because the Holster doesn't hold onto it very well. The clip barely holds it, and any jar by my swinging arm, or turning too fast by a counter throws the phone completely off. The screen on the Otter Box Defender makes it hard to open the phone with a fingerprint only.

The only thing I don't like is the little flap that covers the charger acess. It's stiff and it makes it difficult to get the charger in. I'm hoping once I use it a few times it may soften up and become more flexible

The overall comment iss that it is highly practical and very good to protect the phone. I had to ask for an extra holster after mine broke (it was under warranty) and receive promptly free of charge. Unfortunatly it broke again(sitting in my car , I hit it on the door and the clip broke. I purchase two other. Hopefrully they will last as I really like the practicality of it.

It works well on a thin belt, but if you have a thicker belt or try to wear it inside your waist band it will not hold. The holster with the phone attached comes right off and falls to the ground. It's a good thing the case works so well. The case is awesome but the weak link is the holster.

Less losing phones, less phone replacements. The holster clip can break if dropped on hard surface. So get an extra one. It's worth it.

However when I would text i didn't like the fact there's a space in between the protective plastic and my iPhone screen. So as I would text it would have to be push kinda hard and find myself making typing errors. I really wish the protective screen on the otterbox laid flat against my iPhone screen and no air in between. It got so much of a problem for me I took out the plastic shield. And I already had a screen protector on my iPhone. So now I can text much faster. But overall I'm very pleased with it and i know it's going to protect my new iPhone 7.

The clip is perfect for me, the case on the phone makes it rather too large to put in my pocket so I use the clip, wear it on my hip, and show my new iphone off at the same time!!! For two days, I held it like the raw egg we had to keep up with in high school. I went online and ordered the Otterbox Defender case and it is a lot more sleek than the it used to be and luckily, I could mix and match the colors to suit my personal style. The only things that cause problems are the screen -I have never had so many typos in my life! I know my phone is protected, but perhaps they should make the screen an adhesive of sorts because that gap in space makes for the world's biggest typos! Also the phone itself is large and the case makes it even larger. It takes time to adjust to these nuances, but overall, I am pleased.

After over a month I am still encountering tiny burrs of plastic on the edges and corners. They are not dangerous, more like a pin scratches, but annoying. I would strongly suggest that the holster be examined as it comes out the manufacture process.

I've always had the Otter defender case as my type of work can be pretty rough on phones. I've dropped my phone from two stories, had it tumble down a full flight of stairs, even stepped on it once, I've never had a screen crack or anything broken. Otter even replaced parts that have broken. It's nice to know there is still a company out there that you always have a cheerful voice on the phone, they stand behind their product, and are eager to help you and fix any problems you have quickly. I now just purchased an iPhone 7 Plus, and I have a new now cool blue defender case!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product The Defender is strong enough to withstand lots of falls and other things that would do damage to the phone. It holds the phone on my belt. When the phone was in my back pocket, it would work its way out when I was sitting. I lost it a time or two.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought to use with my Lifeproof Fre Since Otterbox and Lifeproof are the same company, and I don’t like the belt clip offered through Lifeproof for my Fre case, I decided to try the belt clip for the Defender. It works beautifully. It holds the phone securely. Most importantly, the screen is better protected than the Lifeproof version because the screen doesn’t face outward. I wish Lifeproof would have made a belt clip like I had for my iPhone 5. That one worked great. I could make it face outward or inward. Overall, this belt clip works well. Could be a little tighter, but my phone hasn’t fallen out yet and I’ve banged it around pretty hard a few times.

This snap in holster has proven itself durable and protective of the phone it holds. I prefer having the phone's screen facing inward. Also, being somewhat overcautious, I use a wallet chain attached to the slot at the top of the belt clip.

I bought a second one after breaking the belt clip off the first one while getting out of my car. It was my fault for snagging it on the seat while getting out. I used it for nearly three years daily and it holds the phone securely.

I never broke a screen after that. I bought anther Otter box Defender for y iPhone 6 and dropped it many times with no damage. I just bought the Otter box for my iPhone 7.

The holster unfortunately is the weakest link and it replace it sometimes twice a year. It should be as tough as the case that protects the phone.

When elighting from the drivers seat the holder twists in such a way the clasp breaks. It either needs to be strengthened or devised in such a way that stress fracture is minimized. I can only state the problem not the solution.

I snap the clip open to prop up the holster to watch videos. While not an expensive holster...it's a pain to have to re-order another when the clip fails.

On a daily basis, I go from demolishing houses to laying on the floor under cars and I wear my Otter Box phone case on my hip at all times. These phone cases are tough enough to keep up with me, and when it comes time to update my phone, I can get top dollar for my old phone because it is in pristine condition.

When working with construction materials outside , its a must and keeps it out of my pocket... I have had to replace clip part twice in 2 years but no problem. The service department is very friendly and shipped out each under warranty...Understand that the clip is under much stress everyday.. Its remarkable that it is that durable !

I do a lot of climbing ladders and crawling in tight areas and I’m always catching my phone on something. I have broken the belt clips and have not found a way to glue it and get it to hold

Plastic screen saver is raised from screen and you miss letters all the time and have to push really hard for it to do anything.

I tried carrying the phone in my hip pocket, but 1) it wasn't comfortable; and 2) couldn't access it easily if someone were to call me (even to use "hands free" mode when in a vehicle). Price was good, so ordered two (in the eventuality that one would break in the future), and delivery occurred sooner than expected!

Great company, Great product.

Just repeated emails back and forth but NO action. better to just pay the 3 extra dollars and get a replacement ASAP. I'll switch to another system next time I change phones.
