Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dies quickly Have had the device for about 4 months and it has already failed. Randomly decided that it would completely power on. When trying to request an RMA, I was repeatedly told that I would have to pay for premium support so that it could be troubleshooted. Be warned that the one-year hardware warranty that the site states that is still valid is worthless.

The Net Gear modem is connected to my wi fi ARRIS cable modem - router. A lot of time was wasted figuring out that the Netgear modem only works in the router setting, not the bridge setting with this configuration of hardware. The data rates with 4G LTE are far too high with my current internet provider, so for know at least, the Net Gear modem will function as back-up to cable internet unil a lower cost data plan can be found. Otherwise a 5 star rating would be made.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Speeds!! Had this for over a year now! This is the best LTE modem so far! This works extremely well with t-mobile and AT&T! Being a computer tech I would highly recommend this! However I wish there was a option to completely turn off 3G when it loses signal. That way if the LTE cell tower crashes for a minute you don't have to manually fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Important Detail I Wish I Had Known I read the descriptions and thought the modem could run off a mobile hot spot (LTE networks but this is not the case. If you plan to use the CIM card in your phone you would need to remove it and install it in the modem for it to work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrated I bought this to hook to my Sprint service. You need the IMEI number before Sprint will give (sell you the SIM card to make it active. I bought the device and then called Sprint to get the SIM card. "Oh. That IMEI won't work on our network." So I called Verizon. That device isn't supported. So just what network does this work on? At $130, it's just an expensive door stop but not big enough to hold a door.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised! This was just what I needed. I have a very old Verizon Unlimited Grandfathered plan. There are NO options for high speed internet in my area besides satellite, which is pretty much pointless. I had trouble initially in connecting, because OTHER 4G carriers in my area have stronger signals, so it wanted to roam. But I was able to manually pick VERIZON as the only signal the modem could use, and viola^, I have a brand new modem for my sim card! THEN a Netgear router with two satellite mesh wifi system went on sale at Walmart, and that worked so well, I bought another set! Happy camper!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what I wanted it to do. I purchased this 4G LTE modem, along with one of the Nighthawk routers, to replace the old Verizon hotspot I had been using at my home. Set up was easy! Just swaped the sim from the hotspot to the modem and powered it up. Plug in the router and good to go! My sim card fit fine strait out of the hostpot but some may need to use a sim adapter if they have a nano sim.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great!...but The modem works very well, and has allowed me to cut the cord with my expensive cable ISP. Throughput speeds are adequate though not stellar. I notice a 2 or 3 second buffering delay when starting to watch a streaming movie, but once started there are no glitches. I am a techie and really waiting for a reasonably priced 5G modem, but for the meantime this meets the requirements nicely and did not burn a hole in my wallet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup and Reception We previously had an out of date dsl modem with horrible service but we recently switched to a cellular alternative using the LB1120. It has been much better being a better price and offering better speed, ping, and connection reliability. The system was really easy to setup with an easily accessible sim slot, the mobile app is a huge upgrade to the website that our previous modem had. It is small and would fit anywhere we needed it to and works well with our current router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ok but Slower than Mifi It is a good 4G LTE modem, actually only available with an ethernet connection. However, the cellular data speed is slower than the JetPack Mifi. I have LB1120 with a Verizon SIM card, but the speedtest result of LB1120 was slower than Verizon JetPack Mifi8800, 28 vs 49 mbit/s.

I called Netgear and after 4 hours of being on hold and transferred to someone who couldn’t help me, I was told they don’t know what is wrong with it. Also, there is no user manual anywhere. I have already returned mine.
