The upgrade enables the remaining six external Omni Ports and 14 more internal 10 GbE ports (for a total of 28 internal ports) to provide more bandwidth to the compute nodes by using 4-port expansion cards. This configuration makes full use of the 4-port adapters that are installed in each compute node and requires the base switch.
