Lenovo's thinnest and lightest full-function mobile workstation yet, the ThinkPad P50 features a beautiful 15.6-inch UHD 4K display and is certified to run users' most requested ISV applications. The ThinkPad P50 is a feature-rich, highly powerful mobile workstation for performance-seeking users. As the follow-on to the ThinkPad W541, the P50 builds on the innovation and purposeful design of Lenovo's industry-leading ThinkPad mobile workstations.

Lenovo ThinkPad P50 - 15.6" - Core i7 6700HQ - 8 GB RAM - 500 GB HDD is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 148.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great workstation for certain users I've had the computer a month and like everything except the UHD display is not bright enough for day light use. I often keep the lights dim in my office and all is OK for CAD work. The screen also changes brightness substantially when viewed slightly off center. The 4GB video card is poor at gaming but I feel it would be similar to a 2GB video card.I'll keep it but only recommend to user's with certain cases: they would need to be spending someone else's money, need real CPU power, portability, workstation durability, high def CAD graphics, indoor user, minimal gaming and battery powered only for short duration. Like me but not too many others.Mike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Build quality, some small issues The p50 is great, so i'm only going to describe its few weak points. The narrow, short feet mean that it will wobble on an uneven surface. If you don't buy the more or less useless color sensor, it leaves you with a peice of plastic that fills the hole. The issue with that is crumbs and dust can get trapped in the cracks and it is more or less impossible to get out. The keyboard is also a bit mushier than the one I have on my E470.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing workstation capabilities I bought this laptop last week and it is truly amazing! This machine has beastly capabilities, I’ve been using it for modeling parts and assemblies on Solidworks and running simulations and motion analysis, the p50 handled all tasks effortlessly and without any problems! Also been running MS excel spreadsheets and everything works exactly similar to my desktop PC at work. It looks great and the keyboard is the best I’ve ever typed on! It’s definitely not a light laptop but it’s not meant to be, it’s meant to handle heavy usage and gaming as if you were on a Desktop PC so you want it to be sturdy and well vented, which it is. Overall no complaints I’m very happy with the product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality P50 is relatively heavy but built with good quality. The chassis is very robust and temp control is quite good compared to some other thinner product. As the result, the performance is better even compared to the products using the same CPU/GPU, since there is not thermal/power throttling problem. The laptop is not very portable compared to other lighter option. But as a primary working powerhouse, it is qualified. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thinkpad P50 Very impressed with the performance of this laptop. I got the Xeon CPU and Nvidia Quadro M2000M video card and they perform flawless. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy for the money The Lenovo P50 does what it is supposed to do and does it well. I only use it for school so work processing, spreadsheet and presentations work great. It charges fairly quickly and holds the charge well. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
