Quality parts as always from Lenovo.
Easy to install, very straight forward.
Just pay attention to the connector as it’s very tiny when connecting it to your laptop mainboard connection.

Fast and easy
Took a bit to get through customs and that messed with the delivery date several times. The part was extremely well packed and actually contained two complete parts depending on the orientation of the cable. Installed easily. Wish it would have had suggested locations for the included foam adhesive pads. There didn't seem to be a need for them at all.

Does it's job
Simple piece that is required to install an HDD into the interior port of a P70/P71. A little dumb that 1 you need this adapter and 2) it doesn't come with the computer. It obviously works perfectly.
A quick note, this bay will only hold a 9.5mm thick HDD. The 12.5mm 1TB drive I have does not fit. The 12.5 does fit in the adapter part that replaces the CD drive if you need a larger HDD.

Need to connect HDD in laptop?
The right piece for mounting a laptop hard disc in your machine. SATA Connector to small flat one. Rubber housing to hold it in place.

This works as intended but there are a few things to note. First, this includes both the left and right adapter so you don't need to order two kits. Second, while there are two adapters, there is only one spacer and a second would be helpful.

Adding extra storage to a lenovo P51 workstation
I purchased this to add additional drives to my P51 so I can use it for video, audio, and photo editing. I will be putting 2tb spinning drive for long term storage on the laptop.
