The colors are bright, crisp and clear, and the small bezel around the display adds a nice touch. The USB-C Functionality is nice for quick hoteling as well.

The resolution and color right out of the box on the HP Z 27 are outstanding, connected via HDMI. With its variety of ports, you're getting a future-proof monitor. Nice, heavyweight stand, totally adjustable. User controls for onscreen display are intuitive. Front has a think mat-black bezel and rear is mat-black with understated HP and Z27 logos. It's not only a functional but beautiful 4k monitor. Also love HP's three-year warranty.

The matte finish makes them usable at all time of the day and fairly fingerprint resistant. The screens are crystal clear and have fantastic color. I am planning on getting a third one soon.

All-in-all, I do recommend highly and would buy again.,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor! Excellent Connection Options! This monitor has an excellent picture, I love it! For its initial test, I played some 8k video on it and the picture quality blows away that of my TV...truly impressive. I used the included stand and it goes on super easy with no tools. It also has the standard VESA wall mount point on the back if you go that route. The stand it comes with has all kinds of adjustment and flexibility to get the monitor to the perfect viewing position. The only part that i'm not crazy about is the locations of the connection ports for the monitor, they are directly on the bottom edge pointing down towards the desk. This location causes all the cables to stick straight down out of the bottom of the monitor. Also, the ports are spaced out apart from each other making it difficult to velcro the cables together into one bundle. The cables don't look pretty at all coming out the bottom, but it works. I was able to use longer cables to loop them up from the bottom of the monitor and bring them up to where the monitor connects to the stand on the back and route them back behind the desk from there. Doing this made it look much better, but you still see the cables and connectors hanging below the monitor. Not a deal breaker, but caused it to lose 1 star in my review. Besides for the cable management problem, then this is the best monitor i've ever used.

(swivels side to side and raises up and down along with tilting) The monitor is heavy, so all the adjustments on the stand are appreciated! I had to use one of the new cables to stop screen from blinking on and off (works well) I'm using on a 27" 4G H.P. ALL-IN-ONE as a second monitor. As a note I've been using P.C. s since 1980 so I'm not "computer illiterate" at this stuff, but I'm close!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best productivity monitor As a programmer, I needed a bigger monitor for all the things I need open at one time. This monitor has solved that and then some. First off, this thing is beautiful! Very tiny bezel around the screen, colors and resolution that puts my old monitor to shame, and a great looking stand. I’m able to rotate the screen into portrait mode for coding when needed. The stand doesn’t take up much room on my desk, so I’m able to clear more space for keyboard and notepads. While this monitor isn’t really for gaming, my games haven’t looked better. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone needing a productivity boost. This is a top class monitor.

Quick set up instructions were so easy to follow, making it easy to jump in and work on a project. The screen is a decent size at 27 inches, not to small not to big. Love it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Display I got this delivered to my house and the box was a little damaged but once I opened it up, I could tell that the monitor was safely packaged in the box. No issues at all. It was very easy to get out of the box, set up on stand and plug in to my current laptop. It has multiple cord options included, I used the lightening cable since I already have my HDMI port in use. No issues at all. I love having multiple monitors to be able to always display my email, my online meetings and then whatever other application I am working on at the moment

Setup is easy as connecting the monitor to the stand is as simple as sliding it in.It has an abundance of ports (Display Port, HDMI Port, USB C, and USB) and can even act as a USB hub.The power cord is a little short but that's fine. The resolution (4K 60Hz) and color accuracy are amazing. The screen size is also big, which is good for opening multiple windows side by side. The stand can also pivot and even be rotated to portrait mode. I would highly recommend this monitor as it is very well built. The only downside is that the monitor takes a while to turn on when waking up your laptop/computer from sleep. It's not that big of a deal but can take some time to for the monitor to light up. Other than that, this monitor is very solid and it even comes with the necessary cables that can be used to connect to your computer. It is also very easy to use; as it is plug and play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor! The Hewlett-Packard HP Z27 - 27" 4K UHD Monitor is a wonderful addition to my Architectural office computer system. The display is big with rich colors and a deep contrast making detail items much easier to see. When using design related software, the large screen allows you to do far less zooming in and out which increases productivity. The rich colors and deep contrast are especially helpful when rendering conceptual and final designs to get a more accurate account of the space being created. The adjustable stand is especially nice as it rotates on its vertical and horizontal axis, and also from top to bottom making adjustments easy for any office or home application. The available onboard ports allow easy interface with existing technology infrastructure. The HP Z27 is now the monitor I use for all my design and management applications.

Ever since covid pandemic like most people I have been working from home. I use a lot of Word docs, spreadsheets, pdfs. Having 27 inch of gorgeous real estate to do it on is just fantastic! It was very easy to set up with an HDMI cable. Love the sharp colors and deep contrast. My husband did some gaming on it too and loved the experience. Great work monitor to have. The 4k resolution is just stunning. Would highly recommend it!

How would this monitor compare to my 23-inch monitor, and while it wasn't 4K or UHD, it was getting the job done. Well, I was wrong. This HP Monitor is really a game changer for me. The design of the monitor allows it to sit on my desk without taking up a large footprint. The fact that I can view both horizontally and vertically, well...that is just an amazing perk. The only issue I ran into was getting my MacBook Air to recognize it, and after trying multiple cords (that come with the monitor, in the box, which is a great savings as well) I found that cord that worked best and have been using it ever since. For working in code, spreadsheets or just browsing website, I highly recommend this HP monitor. It will change everything for you.

Started taking graphic design classes a few months back and was using my $300 gaming monitor up until this week. The Z27 has simply ruined my other montior, there is no comparison. Super easy to set up and comes with screws compatible with a versa mount. Can't say enough good things about this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Resolution Right out the box, the HP Z27 was easy to set-up and get using immediately. It just clicks to it's base securely with out the use of screws and it feels very sturdy. Then i just started plugging things in and was at it in no time at all. I love the USB type C port that charges at 65 watts. That comes in handy when I'm using my Galaxy Note 10 to do some touch-ups. It doesn't destroy my battery like it does when it's not plugged in. Everything looks true to color when I draw and create images or even edit photos. It's a great monitor and I'm so happy with it.

It was super easy to assemble (monitor clicks into the stand) and set up (one cable to the outlet, another to my laptop, and done!). It connected to my 13" Macbook Pro without a problem (it came with a USBC to USBC cable), and now I no longer have to tirelessly switch from window to window to window while coding! The thin bezel is a nice touch, and the resolution is superb - the colors are sharp and crisp, and I can distinguish the slightest change in colors on this monitor. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a large monitor.

Screen is big enough for all your tasks, picture is perfect, colors are dazzling, text is sharp and crisp, the ports on the sides are amazingly useful and it has the best mount i've had on a monitor so far. Been using this for work and the huge screen size can fit anything you need. Stock trading programs fit perfectly and display beautifully, can fit excel documents or web pages side by side with ample room, or have 5 different windows open and get your work done, it can handle it all. Text is sharp, no blurry text here so you can easily get your work down, read, browse the web with no problem. If watching a video or editing pictures the color is vibrant and pops off the screen, watching a 4K video is a revelation on this screen and a real Joy. I have it with a 3 monitor setup and it worked flawlessly right out of the box, i did not even have to change the settings, just pluged into Display port and was ready to do. Mount is great and can be moved up/down. left/right and tilted as well. USB ports on the monitor are great as well. A+++++ HP has really outdone themselves with this Monitor.

I love the look of this thing sitting on my desk. Second, it has all kinds of cords and connections. I have a mac and frequently struggle to get connected to monitors without a bunch of adapters. This monitor came with USB-C hookups and the cords to do it. It was a great experience for a mac user. Third, it has great color and clarity. I am a designer and have been impressed with the visual quality. Lastly, I love how easy it is to tilt up & down, and swivel left and right. I like being able to adapt the screen to different positions as I move around my desk.

The monitor consists of 2 different parks that snap together, it is VERY easy to do. Once the monitor is snapped into the stand, you can adjust it how ever you'd like. It has a one touch adjustment that is extremely fluid and easy to work with. You can tilt and turn the monitor as well as adjust it at the base. The base is very sturdy and holds the monitor in place without feeling top heavy. This is truly the most beautiful monitor I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The monitor has a DP, Mini DP, HDMI, USB Type-C, and Built-In USB 3.0 Hub so you have multiple different options for connectivity which makes it extremely versatile. You have a power button and 4 different menu buttons hidden on the bottom right of the monitor which keeps the design flowing really well. The display is vivid, true to color, & gorgeous! I am blown away with how beautifully and crisp everything appears to be. It's versatile for everything from spreadsheets, to photography, to gaming and movies. The picture is stunning and you won't be disappointed in this monitor for any project you are using it for. The only draw back is that it doesn't have built in speakers, so if you want to use it for movies, gaming, or music, you will need to use the optional speaker hookup. With that being said, this has been one of the best additions to my home office space and I can't recommend it enough. Truly, you will not be disappointed in this beauty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Picture! I love this monitor--it's perfect for work! I work in marketing and this monitor is ideal for the varied work I do. I often am dealing with large spreadsheets or several open windows, so the large screen size and high resolution mean I can work more efficiently without needing to scroll or flip between windows as I go about my day. I also spend a significant portion of my day in the Adobe suite, so correct color representation is extremely important to me. I also love the different modes you can set the screen to: low blue light, night, picture, etc. The low blue light has been great for preventing headaches from too much screen time. The monitor itself is very sturdy feeling and I'm not worried about it tipping over when my cat ends up on my desk. It does not look bulky though, with fairly thin bezels giving it a modern feeling. It has a very generous swivel and a decent tilt function. It comes with USB-C to USB-C, USB-C to USB-A, and Display port cables in the box--you will need to have your own HDMI if you want to use that to connect. Overall, the picture is sharp, the colors are great and I am very satisfied with this product.

The display is so surreal; the color is crisp and accurate, making my old monitors feel obsolete. This monitor is perfect when connected to my computing laptop for data processing. The multiple USB-C ports and cable make charging my devices a breeze and the performance is perfection. One cable connecting the monitor provides audio & video and powers my laptop, providing the functionality of a docking station. The size of the monitor is perfect for my home office and allows me to see all of my work come to life through a new lens. The monitor is fully adjustable for both tilt and rotation, which is awesome! All the features on this monitor are meticulously design for form and function and everything control is intuitive to understand. The construction is solid, it looks very high end and the picture is crisp and accurate right out of the box. The USB Type-C port works perfectly with my 13 inch macbook pro (2016 model, maxed out configuration), I don't see any issue like insufficient power or any issue with the cable, it just works. It does come with 2 Type-C ports and 3 regular USB ports, but only one Type-C port (the one on the bottom) actually transmits video signal. The regular USB ports work like a hub. Its height is easily adjustable, one touch, very smooth mechanism. And since it can rotate, swivel (shake head) and tilt (nod), it basically can adjust to whatever position you like. Assembling the screen onto the base it is super easy. Slide and push, and it just locks. took me 2 seconds. No screws or any tool required. There's a button on the bottom of the screen to unlock screen from base. Overall I'm very satisfied and highly recommend!

I didn't think much of it at the time, tho I needed one and this one came highly recommended. So I gave it a go. Well, lemme tell you! It's been one of the best high quality, resolution monitors I've even had to use! I'm soo blown away by the effects, I'm here literally recommending to everyone who visits me! OMEN screen looks much better than Z27. I bought this monitor as I need to have crisp text for reading. It is not crisp.

I think?) some cords work and some don’t, and I had to get a special cord for my MacBook Pro. Not compatible with my chromebook. Have to switch it out of power saving mode in order to successfully hook up to MacBook Pro. Buttons and menu are not intuitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor, less than ideal cables I have now had this monitor for a couple weeks and love the size and resolution. The monitor has no dead pixels and is incredibly clear. I have had a couple issues with the monitor, but they were easily resolved. The first issue was the monitor not coming back after going to sleep. What I found is that the monitor turned off the USB devices hooked up to it, so my laptop wasn't waking up. After making a quick and easy setting change, I haven't had any problems. The second problem I had was that the monitor would show as disconnected randomly, and got worse seemingly everyday. What I noticed was a slight nudge or pull on the keyboard or mouse, that bumped the display port cable, seemed to cause it. I ordered a new display port cable and the problem has gone away. For the price point, I was expecting better quality cables. The monitor itself though has been amazing.

I am using it at 150% resolution and it allows me to display many windows at the same time. If needed it does well at 125%. Display is very crisp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great. Feels solid. Poor USB-C connectivity I bought this last week and have been facing frequent signal drops between the monitor and my Lenovo Yoga X380 laptop. The screen starts flickering after about 20 minutes (accompanied by a disconnect/reconnect chime on the laptop) and this happens every 30 odd seconds. To make things worse, the USB hub (that controls all the USB ports on the monitor) shuts off rendering my wireless mouse and keyboard useless. I have to power down my monitor and reconnect for this to start working again. I initially thought it was an issue with the supplied USB C cable, but the issue persists despite trying 3 different USB cables. This problem doesn’t exist when using the USB C to DP cable but then, I need to use a second cable (USB A to USB C) to power the USB ports on the monitor, and my AC adapter to charge my laptop. This is not ideal especially since I purchased this display to take advantage of that USB C Alternate Mode port to use a single cable to charge my laptop and transmit video to the display. When it does work though, the display is gorgeous and the build quality is phenomenal. However, the issue with the USB C signal drops seems to be a pretty common problem (especially with Lenovo laptops), so I will be returning this as it gets quite frustrating and impacts my productivity.

Wide variety of input choices (using Z27 usb-c to Mac's Thunderbolt). Excellent 4k screen with thin bezels). Z27's additional usb/usb-c ports useful for attaching devices (Time Machine backup external drive, etc). No internal speaker, microphone, or camera. May not be considered a consumer model.by HP (business model?). Would certainly purchase again for my Mac Mini - very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good After only a week of use, I am impressed with this monitor. It has a heavy, sturdy base which makes adjusting the display on all axes easy. The colors were a little off OOB, but I was able to get them close to my desired color temperature and saturation with the display controls. My favorite part of the display so far has to be the on-screen menu system. It's intuitive and easy to use. On my old monitor, I dreaded going into the on-screen menus .

Each time my laptop goes to sleep for any length of time, I have to redo all my settings. Also, who puts all the ports in the most inconvenient place on the monitor? HP does. I want to send it back but I can't (not HP's fault-you got it, THE VIRUS). I guess I'll keep calling till the return department is open again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous but stand a bit jiggly Ordered direct, came quickly. Screen's gorgeous. Hooked it up to a 2019 MBP via USB-C, worked instantly. Only minor issue is that the mount is a bit jiggly - just typing on the desk it's on makes it quiver a bit. It jiggles rather a lot more than the old iMac it's replacing. Must be a way to fix this but it's not obvious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow ! I am very happy with this monitor the display amazing compared to the former 22 inch non HD monitor. I had read that a lot of computing power is needed to run a HD monitor but this monitor works well with my HP Envy 360 Laptop with I5 CPU and standard graphics card . I find the ports underneath hard to see , the monitor is all black, it would be nice to label the various ports is a much brighter color . I also find that sometimes , with Windows 10, when running this monitor as a “extended” display (2 monitors) with my laptop, the HP27Z does not always wake up after it takes a snooze (power savings) . Sometimes I have to reboot the laptop to wake up the Z27. Other than that , it is perfect .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Remote Designers I'm a heavy Adobe Illustrator user and needed a large monitor to connect to my 15" 2018 MBP. I'm glad I ordered directly from HP, as they shipped earlier than projected ship date. Currently I have it connected using USB-C and haven't experienced any connectivity issues. I've had it for two weeks now and think I made the right choice with 27 inch display size. Anything bigger would feel like sitting too close to a TV screen. I like having the option to adjust height of the monitor. The stand is sturdy. Multiple cables were included to accommodate various set up options. Although it's more than I planned to spend on a monitor, I'm happy with my investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this monitor! I was a little trepidatious about buying this monitor at first as I wasn’t sure how well it would work with my MacBook Pro. Turns out it works really well, better than I expected, even. I’m able to use a single USB-C cable to connect the monitor to my MBP & power my laptop as well. I can even plug in additional components to the free USB ports on the Z27 monitor and they’ll be sent along through the single USB-C connection. I can’t wait to buy a second one!

It arrived sooner than I expected, was flawless on start-up, and except for a momentary puzzlement about how to turn it on (the instructions are cartoons without words!) have been very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not working as advertised I've never had any issues with a display...until this one. There are many problems: -it don't stay connected to my laptop over USB-C. It drops the connection entirely and then reconnects every few moments. -i bought another USB-C cable and this one at least will hold the connection. Maybe HP ships a substandard cable? -there is a lag over 4K. what is the point of using a high quality monitor when you get a lag? I'm still investing time in trying to get this to work (again, in 30 years I've never had to do anything to get a display to work as advertised other than plug it in) but will likely return this display.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first HP screen, so far so good I bought this display after reading the reviews from Wirecutter. The coronavirus pandemic caused me to work from home since early March. I previously do not own any computer display. Many shoulder / back pain episodes later, it was time to get a real monitor. I was particularly attracted by this display's ability to charge my laptop while also connect using a single USB C cable. I have a big fear of unruly cables. The HPZ27 arrived fairly quickly given the pandemic and I've been using it since. I have no experience using fancy displays before so everything is great. For reference, I use this with a 13 inch 2019 MacBook Pro and have no issues so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful resolution This 27 inch monitor is a great addition to todays computing. Full screen viewing of videos in 4K is as good as watching any 4K TV. Working in any of the office APPS I use makes it great to be able to see them on a large screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null 10/10 Purchased two of these at the start of 2020 - you need the usb hub if you want to power two of them over usbc got this with the sound speaker module, you may think that you wont fit two on a normal sized desk but as you can see below the fit perfectly. Stands are beautiful and have a nice urban military look to them - the back is almost as good as the front with gun metal grey paint scheme - If you have the funds I would recommend them only one thing I was not happy with is only 65w power output to usbc - for my 14u Zbook this is not enough power and I dont like that you cant daisy chain these when Dell and LG have been able to do this for the past two years and Dell can output 100 watts via usb - HP could upgraded the power output and offer dasiy chain then they would be perfect

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't buy this product I have a warranty issue with our montior and HP will not look at it because we are not using a HP Z Station computer. They apparently are only to be used with a HP Z Station laptop or desktop setup and are not compatible with any apple products (not stated anywhere in the specs). I learned this after being on hold for an hour and HP hanging up the call without talking to me and another 60-minutes on chat (over 2 days). DONT BUY THIS. They will not fix it when it stops working under warranty.

I have always wanted to have a display that could withstand examination under a magnifier lens. Its not a very scientific test given my aging eyes, but it impresses me. I see detail in movies now that I haven't seen before. Big improvement for me.

HP Doesn't support downloading firmware for this monitor on macs. I don't know if the monitor is running the latest firmware or not. I have about a 1/2" gutter around the monitor(This is inside the 1/4" bezel around the monitor) and neither HP nor Apple are able to help. No one can help. Also if I leave a screen up for more than 5 minutes then change tabs the image from the previous tab is burned into my monitor.

With the sleek style straight out of the box with complete your system. The 4k resolution you will see everything clear with this 27 inch HD monitor. The Usb-c is a clutter free life saving device with one cord to power all your needs. The set up is very simple and only take couple of minutes which is a plus. The color on the screen is just amazing so I wouldnt look no futher just order it you won't be disappointed. You will also be able to adjust the height and tilt that fits each user needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor for the home office! This is a great monitor for the home office! The 4k UHD is simply amazing watching content on that. It's fairly lightweight for the size and the 27" monitor is nice and big. The only thing holding this slightly back is the 60Hz refresh rate. If this was 120, it would be the ideal gaming monitor. Other than that though, it gets daily use and will be great for years to come!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 800 Elite Desk G2 TWR w/ Z27 4K Display I have an EliteDesk 800 G2 tower from 2015. This computer was made before 4K monitors. My eyes are old and needed a better resolution monitor with sharp text. My tower has a HP 320W power supply with only two outputs. These are very hard to upgrade to 400W with few people having done so. I have an Intel Core i7-6700 CPU the 530 graphics provided with this are not good enough for a 4K screen. The smallest 4K screens are mostly 27". The newest graphics card my power supply would work with was the NVIDIA 1650. This is probably not good enough for gaming but for general photo editing and other work it is fine. I bought this card and an HP Z27" screen. I added 32GB of ram which make the computer run much better. I downloaded the Nvidia control panel from their site. This panel allows you to select quality of print and colors. The combination of the i7-6700 CPR, the GeForce GTX 1650 Graphics card, and the extra ram means I get very crisp print and beautiful colors. The screen works well for me. I did not want such a large screen but all windows like excel spread sheet may be resized to fit just the center section of the 27" screen. Click and pull the sides in with your mouse. If your eyes are old like mine this worked well for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really great quality, but terrible build quality. I bought this monitor two months ago, and was really happy with the quality. They were bright, accurate, and the monitor was absolutely stunning. Unfortunatley, while I was moving work stations I barley slightly tapped the screen and it caused a very small, light crack, that's barley visible. I was really stunned, because I didn't even realize that it was impacted that hard at all. When I turned it on, a good 1/4 of the screen was no longer usable (picture attached) I was so devastated, but also confused as to why the monitor could not withstand the slightest touch. I tried calling the help center, only to find out that the warranty was practically useless since it does not cover ADP (accidental damage protection). I would definitely hesitate to invest almost 600 on this monitor. With that amount of money, you want a high quality monitor that I think the HP Z27 lives up to (it's beautiful!) but the draw back is that it is very very VERY sensitive to the slightest touch. Effectively destroying it and all its value, so I would be very careful. There's a term known as "planned obsolescence" which means "that a policy of producing consumer goods that rapidly become obsolete and so require replacing, achieved by frequent changes in design, termination of the supply of spare parts, and the use of nondurable materials. " I really think this term would apply to this monitor in question, as it looks and feels durable, yet to the slightest touch it completely folds. Be careful ya'll!

It's simple to use with multiple windows. It has multiple display options, and an awesome refresh rate. The stand is adjustable for good ergonomics. It comes with DVI, VGA, display port, HDMI, and USB ports. It comes with a power cord, HDMI, USB to USB C. I am using with the HDMI. The USB to USB C can be used for display. Comes with Samsund Dex so can use your phone, or other device for display. I am 100% satisfied.

I do wish the brighness could be controlled by the connected computer. I've got a chromebox hooked up now and the brighness slider in the OS does nothing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this new monitor I was long overdue for a new monitor and am happy I chose this HP 4K UHD display. It was easy to attach to my monitor arm and worked right away, without any complicated configuration steps required. The colours are sharp and accurate and can be tweaked easily using the menu selections, if desired. I haven’t figured out how to hook-up 2 laptops and view both with a split screen yet, although this display has the functionality. Maybe I need a different cable to make this work. All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for photo editing I was looking to replace a second monitor that was starting to dim - hard to calibrate. I was looking for a larger monitor, but hadn't considered 4k until I saw this monitor. The 4k really makes a difference when editing photos. Taking high resolution images, it only makes sense to pair with a monitor that can display at these higher resolutions. This will really up my game. When I was evaluating monitors, a person I highly respect (works in technology and uses multiple HP monitors) told me that "yeah, you may pay a bit more for HP monitors - but they're worth it" I'm glad I took his advice and got this monitor!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't hold a connection I bought this a few months ago. The screen is huge and when it works is very nice to work with. However, I have had nothing but trouble because when I connect my USB-c from my laptop (basically the reason I bought it) - the screen goes black for 30 second about once every 5 minutes or so. Makes it unusable.
