Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just a great small desktop for desktop use, nothing fancy, but then again it just does where you buy it for so nothing fancy is a good thing in this matter :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We have observed a significantly higher failure rate with this model then we typically see of EliteDesks. Hard drive is the most common fault, followed by motherboard issues. When they work they are a great balance of cost, size, and capability.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from These look like really nice small computers. They did take quite a bit of work to setup to PXE boot via UEFI. But once I figured that out (needed to change the ROMs to boot in UEFI instead of Legacy) it worked just great.3 stars due to the poor BIOS implementation

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fits here, there, almost everywhere. The desktop has evolved. Packed with integrated enterprise-class performance, security and manageability features, this is HP’s smallest business desktop yet. Efficiently crafted, the HP Desktop Mini will fit almost any workspace.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Computer displays a persistent error at each boot - 922 Front USB 2 unplugged - this happens when you disconnect the front USB 3.0 ports from the slot on the motherboard, but it doesn't matter if you connect them to a PCI USB 3.0 card, the error still displays at each boot. It's very annoying and I will be returning the desktops if I can't figure out how to disable the message.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues with these. We got 140 for about $375 with an education discount. i5, 8GB, DVD burner - -fantastic units! They came shipped with dual VGA splitters, that do not work without the graphics card option -- not sure why they didn't ship a Display Port to VGA when ordered without the dedicated graphics...oh well. Units are great and look great, just easily scratched.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For higher end business desktop is what this was designed for. The case is designed to sit vertical (like most towers) or horizontal (like the old pizza box style computers). Horizontal its a little fat so the monitor sits up pretty high. For some odd reason the DVD drive is vertical (laptop dvd drive- slimline style) so when in the vertical position you have to insert discs vertically which is kinda of cumbersome but on a workstation who is going to be putting in DVDs all the time. System is very responsive, for a business desktop workstation. Good specs for workstation. This is a good machine for moving forward technology wise. Windows 7 and PCIe - Serial ATA 600 - GB ethernet. (no old pci slots)If you are looking for a transition machine from old tech to new this is not a good pick but if you are looking for a machine that moves forward with new tech (usb 3, PCIe ata600, etc) this is a good pick for a higher end standard business desktop.Pros - Good work machine with modern technologies allowing to move forward with out having to carry old technologies along.- Roomy Case with optional vertical or Horizontal deployment.- Modern case design (aesthetics).- Two Display Ports allows for easy Dual Monitor setup in mixed environments (VGA, DVI, etc) by use of Display port adapters. Also still has VGA port for standard deployment.Cons - Vertical Optic drive when in Default Tower position is kind of awkward. Design of Optic drive looks like horizontal is default orientation of case but all other aspects of case (usb orientation, power button, logo, etc) are all designed with Vertical orientation as the default.- Slimline design Optic Drive means spare parts from old machines is limited. Slot load would have been a better pick for this design instead of the old laptop slimline tray optic drive.- Case is a little bulky in the horizontal position (pizza box style).Good all around average modern desktop for business offices.
