Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where is the touch screen?A great PC. It is few solid overall and surprisingly thin. The only complaint I have is that this Chromebook should absolutely have a touch screen. I don't understand why HP would make something all around excellent and then leave out a pretty obvious high end feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you need to get any work done stay awayThe material look and feel of this machine is unmatched for a chromebook. USB-C is great and usb 3.0 is noticed as well. However QHD is not true the default is set to 1600*900 set it to the QHD format and everything becomes too hard to read. The screen brightness is very low and yellow it is throughout the screen as in the very left is bleeding yellow and the right side is normal white.Next for a Chromebook without googleplay you can bet this will be outdated by next month. Now the worst part comes when you type online. The keys are a mess if you happen to make a mistake the way the software corrects is horrible. Finally what is unforgivable is spell check and how editing documents or powerpoint is handled. Google Docs is still not a fully functional for school or any of their programs stay away if you are a student and purchase a real HP laptop. If you dont have to worry about assignments or doing work this laptop is great and snappy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great chromebookI like it very much and just wanted to point out that I am one of those people who don't want a touch screen. Glad to see HP is offering this as a non-touch screen. Probably this is one of the reasons they were able to offer a premium product at a low price. Bravo HP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best ChromeBook on the marketComing from a old Acer Chromebook that worked great for $99, I decided to upgrade my laptop. I already had my work laptop to use Excel or Powerpoint. I needed just a amazing device that does what it's supposed to do. Be a great web browser with cloud add on's. The screen and keyboard feel amazing. I understand the complaints about the trackpad. I felt the clicking issue people mentioned, but I swear you don't even notice it after a few days of use. I think my body and fingers just adapt to the exact spot on the trackpad that provides the easiest click. I still don't understand much about the (3200 x 1800) resolution. You can't read any text at that setting. Maybe it makes it better when you hook up an external monitor? Either way the best Chromebook on the market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing in every wayEverything about this Chromebook is excellent. Great design and build quality. Crazily fast in all aspects (it goes from cold to fully booted and ready to go in about 3 seconds). This is my first Chromebook and I will never go back to using other OSs. Everything is intuitive and easy to use. I cannot believe that this only costs $500. I have had high end PCs which cost more than double the amount of this Chromebook and the Chromebook is superior to all of them. Not superior for the price, just superior in general.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThis laptop has everything I need except darn compatibility with Microsoft office. There are certain assignments with certain requirements that are not possible with google docs. It's more of an irritant that this chrome book does not support iTunes, or Microsoft office. Makes me kind of regret purchasing this laptop, however literally everything else is exactly what I desired in a college laptop.Lightweight, back lit keyboard, it processes very quickly, battery life is pretty good at 7hrs as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lemon? Or faulty design?I was excited to upgrade from my 2+ year old Acer chromebook with 2g/RAM with the 4g/m3 version of this. However, brand new out of the box, this thing runs so slow I questioned whether or not it actually has the correct processor inside. I soon discovered that it also runs so hot that I cannot have this on my lap, or even use it laying down. It's very nice to look at and well built, but function takes precedence, and I ultimately decided to RMA it due to these issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like a full computer, not a cheap chromebookMy daughter has been pretty pleased with this after 3 weeks. Screen quality is great; bright enough to use in most circumstance outside. We like the USB-C. Battery life and portability have been assets as well.
