HP 7640 stopped working
My black HP 62 cartridge failed after less than 50 pages. After it failed nothing worked until I replaced the cartridge with the previous almost empty cartridge. I could not print with a color fonts as all printing stopped. I am not sure what I would have done if I did not have the previous cartridge available. I needed immediate print. Poor design for this printer disabling all print when one source failed.

The ink was delivered very quickly and I was happy with the ordering process. However, after printing only ~5 pages with the new cartridges, I am getting a message from my printer saying there is something wrong with the black ink cartridge and I cannot print anything. I haven't done anything to damage the cartridge and now I have wasted a lot of money since I am going to have to purchase another black cartridge. I am disappointed.

I used to have a 6510 HP printer which I loved. Easy to use and I printed many a photo with the ample cartridges. The HP 62 is half the size and same price as the 6510?! I think it sucks ink, and it always wants to be smarter than I, a graphic arts guy for more than 35 years. I really can't wait for a good excuse to move on to something way better.

I have for the most part always used HP replacement cartridges as I have found them to work 100% and totally compatible with my printer. I have gone to generics a couple of times and found the print quality was not as good. The last time I used generic it totally destroyed my printer, gummed it up beyond repair. I have never used generic again. If quality counts to you than HP cartridges is all that you should use.

Fast shipping and a reasonable price makes for a winning combination. HP also incloses a mailer to return the used ink cartridges, a nice bonus.
I would not recommend aftermarket ink cartridges just to save a few dollars, they do not print any where near the quality of HP cartridges.

Bought an HP 62 2-pack Black/Tricolor from HP and was extremely disappointed. I had to call HP to find out as to why it was taking so long for delivery of my cartridge. When I received the ink cartridge and inserted on my HP Envy 5660, I was again very disappointed because the cartridge was almost dry. I was only able to print less then 5 colored photos and my cartridge ran out of colored ink. I will never order any ink from HP. Very disappointed....

Had a lot of printing to do. I ended up purchasing about 3-4 2 packs. Nearly all did not give over 13 to 14 color copies from each set. This is REALLY Expensive!! Won't be doing this again.

They works, but way too expensive.
Unfortunately, my HP envy 5540 printer will not except the much cheaper ink cartridges and am forced to purchase the over priced HP brand. Also I could not find the XL cartridges which do last longer and does save some money. My next printer will not be an HP, but an Epson EcoTank printer which will save huge money over the years and be so much more convenient than buying these over priced HP cartridges every few months.

Easy ordering and fast shipping. Install is quick. The reason I only gave 3 stars was that my prior cartridges were only half full but would not print. I had this same problem a year ago but printer still under warranty so they sent me new cartridges. I have had HP printers for many years but never had this situation where the ink dries up if not used in under a year. The cost of the cartridges was the price I paid so I may just get a new printer next time.

What we expected plus!
We ordered ink and we received it. The thing that I really liked though was that there was a prepaid envelope to send the empty ink cartridges to be recycled. I appreciate this as we tend to just compound the number of empty cartridges with the intend to take it to Staples but forgetting or not having the time to make a separate trip for it. Very convenient.

Defective Color Cartridge
One of the color cartridges I received is defective. I installed it but couldn't align the printhead and several attempts to do so caused the cyan color to disappear completely. Cleaning the electrodes didn't help. Exchanging the first cartridge to another new cartridge did cure the problem.I notice that the cyan slit has open spaces where is no ink. To answer your question- recommending to a friend, this is he first time that I have ever had a problem with a HP product.

I ordered the HP64 2-pack in, the third of May, paid 43.54 dollars, but I got the HP62 2-pack, so I'm upset because of the wrong delivery. I usually throw one of these in my Walmart Grocery Pick-Up order. But have had trouble finding it in stock there. It was the same price to order it direct from HP, and I didn't need to worry about when I was placing another grocery order. Just as easy to order from HP and have it delivered.

I have been buying HP products for many years, all my electronics are HP and with that I always use HP ink. It works the best. I have tried those refilled ones and they may be cheaper but they are not cheaper in the long run because sometimes they do not work and they do not last as long as the HP ink. Hp ink also doesn't leave the residue that some of those refilled ones due in the machine which gunks it up.

Quality ink straight from the source
I needed this ink ASAP, so I initially tried to purchase it from the Biggest Big Box Store Of Them All online for "same day in-store pickup." That was a monumental fail, and after 3 days of waiting to be notified that it was ready to be picked up, I ended up having to spend nearly 45 minutes buying it in-store (don't even ask how that's possible). The color cartridge immediately stopped working. I'm guessing it had sat on the shelf so long that it had dried out. Either way, it was not worth it to me to go back to try to return it. Still needing this ink for work and having wasted nearly a week trying to get it, I decided to purchase it directly from HP and take my chances on what I assumed would be an extended shipping wait. Imagine my surprise when not only was shipping FREE, but it would arrive the next day! My ink arrived the next morning, and the ink has been great, both black and color. I'm so pleased, and I will be ordering my ink directly from HP from now on. Lesson learned!

I have been using the HP 62 2-pack Black/Tri-color Original Ink Cartridges for a long time. I have noticed that your claim as to how many pages you get, 200B&W, 165 Color is untrue. I have just loaded a new set on 6/29, printed 10 color pages and 1 B&W letter size, and the both the color as well as the B&W cartridges are almost down to the half-way mark.I started to notice this happening more and more. I have been a loyal customer and have not only the Envy 5660, I also have the HP 7612. I am happy with the print quality of both printers, but I'm going through ink on the 5660 as if there is hardly enough ink to complete my work. The pages I am printing are small graphics and the text is normal. Can you explain what's going on? I am replacing the inks far to often for the printing I am doing.
Hope you have some answers for me because I sincerely believe the ink tanks are not as full or deliver what you advertis in pages.

I have used generic Ink Cartridges in the past for my HP desktop. I plan to only use HP Ink in the future (even though the prices are usually lower for the generic brands) the generics are usually of lower quality and cause many printing problems to occur.

I recently purchased the double HP cartridges. And already there is a low ink reminder on printer?? Also the few pages I printed were very light print.om guessing buying these inks online isn’t a good idea? Better off at a store

Have trouble remembering what number for ink
I have always gotten my ink from HP. My only problem is that I can never remember the number for the ink. This time I looked before reordering my ink. So happy when I received the correct one and was able to finally get some paperwork done..

Disappointing
I bought this item about 3 weeks ago, and I am already out of ink. I have printed maybe 150 pages. I feel like it is a little ridiculous that I am already having to buy new ink. I am hoping to find a way to print more eco friendly, but I am a college student and need to print off powerpoint to write on and follow along with during class.

I have a HP printer that is probably 7 years old. It prints extremely well and uses #62 ink. When I get the message “low ink” I get online and order an ink cartridge. HP sends my order as soon as they see it. I never run out and the quality is excellent.

Prints an adequate amount of pages. Quality ink. My only concern is a card I printed wasn't all the way filled with color ink. Checked printer found there was plenty of ink left in the cartridge. I printed it a 2nd time a d it came out the same. Not sure why that happened.
