HP sends it out with one day service, free shipping, and an envelope to send the used ones back to re-cycle. I only gave it three stars, as it becomes a expensive proposition, eventhough I don't do a lot of printing.

Unless you buy them on sale they are extremely overpriced. And when you have an office of people all using the printers the cost becomes prohibitive.

It made it so much easier to order through you and receive it the next day. Next time I buy a printer, I will make sure the ink cartridges don't cost the price of the printer! Really disappointed in the price! The 60XL must be the most expensive cartridge for an average size printer. I must have bought 3 printers for the price of the all the ink cartridges that I have bought! I guess you live and learn!

I'm having difficulties printing. For the price, this shouldn't be happening! I'm about ready to switch to something besides a HP Printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad cartridge design This makes the third time I have tried the XL-60, it continued to not work consistently, keep getting errors not aligned properly, remove reset runs 2 or 3 times then same thing again or just stops working with no response. Going to return these and go back to standard size, never had prob with the standard.

I am in a busy time and was counting on my printer. i am having to use my local library until I can resolve. I resent 1. not having a printed manual to trouble shoot 2. paying so often so much for ink that over the life of the instrument the ink costs more than the printer 3. having to address a new printer so frequently in my life.

Have used countless cartridges on a major project involving upwards of 6,000 copies so consider this to have been a fluke as this particular XL cartridge performed more like the smaller one. I have tried Office Max and other brands but they indeed pale in comparison to the HP inks so again we get what we pay for in regards to quality of products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made a great buy! When I purchased my all in one printer I was afraid that my ink usage would increase dramatically over my old HP Inkjet printer. Guess What! It didn't. My old ink cartridge used to cost $40. Now I am paying a similar price for a combo pack and getting excellent coverage. I am more than satisfied. Now I can make copies of those important papers and not have to make a special trip to a copy store! And the ink cartridge is easy to change when necessary. I often get 10 to 15 copies beyond the ink low indicator. It would be nice though if HP could find a way to make one cartridge fit more models. Keep up the good work.

I finally broke down and tried the XL cartridges and to my amazement and great satisfaction they lasted almost 9 months. Unbelievable!! Im so happy I spent a little more up front for such great savings and longevity. It is more than worth it to get the XL size. I just reordered last week, the ones I had installed on NOV 10 2011 finally ran dry. Actually I still had some color left but the black was dry. This was 8/30/2012. EXCELLENT BUY , VERY WORTH THE MONEY AND FREE NEXT DAY SHIPPING, you cant ask for any thing more!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disppointed with the purchase I bought this a few weeks ago and after printing only a few sheets, the printer started to say that a "non standard cartridge is detected" and kept stalling during printing. It has been a struggle to make it work and, when it does print, the quality is extremely poor. Black and White prints are fine, hence, I know it is not a problem with the printer. As a disappointed customer, I am wondering if HP will replace the cartridge??

The print quality is great, unfortunately the amount of pages that the package says you will get in this case were no where close to the actual reality. And this is even with print set on economy. Maybe half the amount the package says but probably less. Would still buy it as it is a good product, but it is a disappointment when a product does not live up to expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bunk Black Ink The problem I've been having lately is with the printer rejecting my brand new ink cartridges, saying they are not authentic HP cartidges but black market imposters. Ludicrous! Before this problem started happening I, (along with many others I've noticed) thought the ink was going quickly too. I don't use my printer for pictures, but to print regular documents in black ink that I need for college. The printer was a steal when I bought it, but they've clearly made their money back.

Generally, I can finish use of the cartridge though, with certain colors not looking quite right. Still, the cartridges give use until empty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Ink cartridges I have tried the after market cartridges purchased on the internet, and they do not provide nearly the same quality of photo prints as the HP cartridges. Even the after market black ink cartridge doesn't function properly. It won't even pass the alignment/scan test. The after market cartridges don't let the printer know how much ink is remaining in the cartridge, which also creates a low quality print, photo, or copy. When I was using a DELL desk top and printer, I had to purchase my ink cartridges on line through Dell, however they always produced high quality prints, copies, and photo's. The Dell ink cartridges cost less, and lasted longer. DELL also provided pre-paid mailing envelopes for used cartridges, for environmental disposal. My over-all satisfaction with the HP desktop, HP Photosmart printer, and wireless homegroup is very good!

I recognize that the research required to produce the right type of ink to be used with ink-jet heads, and with the proper drying qualities is not insignificant; but, I doubt that the average consumer gives that much thought.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big disappointment with ink When I purchased my printer I did a lot of research to make sure I would get a good quality and be able to print a reasonable amount of papers without constantly running out of ink. From experience, I only use new cartridges due to the fact, that I did use the cartridges that were refilled and it ruined the printer due to leaks, etc. During the past two months I have purchased 15+ color and black ink cartridges (60) for a project. I could see the decline in the number of sheets printed with a plain cartridge, so I went to the XL cartridge. Several of them had so little ink in them I printed about 1/2 of the quantity that should have been printed. Tonight was the final straw. Today I received a tri-color 60XL and a black 60XL so I could finish the project. I started printing and after 36 sheets of color the color cartridge was depleted. Between HP, Walmart and Alco I have spent over $400 on ink cartridges in the last month and a half. I think it is time to research and look for a new printer that I do not need to constantly keep changing ink cartridges!

All require little maintenance and I consider the cartridges part of the reliability. We are both 70+ and I find it very hard to afford the ink cartridges. However, I just can't bring myself to use anything but HP cartridges. I absolutely refuse to have them refilled or buy refilled cartridges from those low priced ink places. I do all my own cards, birthday, thankyou, etc. for my family and friends. I use family photos in all the cards, so I require the best and as far as I'm concerned, HP is th best. Please consider this review to include all four of the items I received. I really appreciate the ream of paper. I certainly wasn't expecting a free ream of paper and I was very pleased to receive it. Also, I appreciate the receipt of the envelope to mail back the used cartridges. I'm so glad that they now will hold more than one. I have been mailing back (or wherever they go) for many years now. The ink quality is top notch...and the XL part means they last longer...and are more affordable. Do yourself a favor. If your printer takes XL inks...don't buy the single inks.

My printer would not work kept giving a fault that something was wrong with the cartridge but it had ink in it, So i replaced it with HP cartridge and it started working just fine. The "XL" cartridges provide several times the count I would expect from the "normal" cartridge, which kept my project up time higher than I would experience by using multiple standard cartridges instead. An excellent value.

The price was similar to local prices and I didn't have to leave my home to order it. I was surprised that it took 6 days to reach me. It used to last a lot longer when I did more printing, Now I do less and it is gone in no time Don't know what the deal is but XL just isn't cutting it right now. The regular is worse.

I followed all the instruction available in the HP websites to properly align them, but the the colored characters and figures still seem to be misaligned no matter how much I have tried to fix it.

I found this very strange and was wondering if Costco was selling very old cartridges or seconds? Rated 5 out of 5 by from DOA. Printer said HP cartridge was "unknown" DOA. Printer said HP cartridge was "unknown" - cleaning contacts with alcohol did not help. Updating firmware did not help, rebooting etc. Very little help other than that advice on line. HP Makes it very difficult to talk to a human, and their website directs you in circles. Recommendation was to remove and replace. Ordered new ink and problem went away. Then got very frustrated trying to figure out how to return the old HP 60 XL tricolor cartridge. One website said instructions on warranty were in the box. They were not. Go to the support website and they won't help you without a serial number. Give them the SN and they tell you it is out of warranty. (I knew that). but the ink was not. After going thru sales, I did get help; but had to return the old cartridge with an approved RMA, with free shipping. (now a days, returning a $50 throw away part seems expensive for HP) I don't think
