These units a very reliable.
NOTE: But just make sure that you confirm that any dell dock you purchase is 100% compatible with your system or you may have issue where the NIC does not function or you drop video.

Great Docking Station for universal use
after researching we found this dock was the best option that worked with all of our HP, Dell and Lenovo devices. Have not had any issues with this dock.
