I was as simple as removing the cover, popping out the old sticks and popping in the new. There's less paging to the HD so everything feels faster. The price is good, too.

Didn't notice a huge difference in performance with my computer but I am able to have more apps and windows open without experiencing any significant slow downs like I was before I purchased this item.
