Engineered to be compatible with your Apple system, Crucial Memory for Mac takes the guesswork out of a memory upgrade. Since Apple systems often have very specific memory requirements, including particular component densities, speeds, and SPD programming specifications, it's important to buy your memory from people who know Apple computers inside and out. With over a decade of experience manufacturing and developing memory for Apple systems, Crucial makes it easy to find memory that's been designed specifically for your system.

If you're an Apple computer user, you probably expect intuitive, reliable performance from your system. Crucial thinks memory should work the same way, too. For each module it manufactures, Crucial sends it through a rigorous testing process to ensure that you're getting a reliable, high-performance memory solution. Every module that leaves the doors has been extensively tested at the component level for voltage and temperature resistances, signal integrity, and software compatibility. Even better, Crucial modules are lead and halogen-free (DDR3 modules only). The result? Reliable memory that meets or exceeds Apple's own memory requirements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works in 27" iMac mid-2011 Crucial says to install CT3757637, but this kit worked in my iMac just fine, it has all the same specs. Big improvement in speed over the 4GB that was in there originally. No more spinning beachball, things snap right open.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding service & product! I purchased the 16G kit for my late 2011 MacBook Pro to replace the 2x4G. The installation was very easy and took approximately 20 minutes, although it could have been done in 10 minutes. Removing and replacing the case screws was the most time consuming aspect. Once started up, the homescreen appeared very quickly (no spinning rainbow wheels) and it has run flawlessly now for about a month. Previous to the installation, this was used as a second machine to a much newer MacBook Pro. It was becoming slower and slower - unable to keep up with all the iOS upgrades. For this reason, I used it very infrequently. Now, however, the unit has a new lease on life and is performing outstandingly and I use it often. I don't know why I waited so long to do this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great in 2012 iMac Bought this to bump up memory in mid-2012 iMac that came with only 4Gb. The original iMac specs say you're limited to 4Gb DIMMs, but Apple released a firmware upgrade that increases that limit to 8Gb DIMMs. This allowed me to keep the original 4Gb, and add this 16Gb kit to make 20Gb total. Took all of 5 minutes to install - gave an immediate improvement to performance. Everything worked out great!
