Cisco Route Switch Processor 1 - control processor

The Cisco ASR 900 Route Switch Processor (RSP1) is the centralized card in the system performing the data plane, network timing, and control plane functions for the system. This card contains separate control plane and data plane components. The main packet processing and traffic management is performed by the Cisco carrier Ethernet ASIC.
