The Cisco ONS 15454 MSPP 4x 2.5-Gbps Muxponder card can transport OC-48/STM-16 payloads with provisionable digital wrapper with selectable Forward Error Correction (FEC). The muxponder card is a plug-in module, enabling a high-density, cost-effective solution for OC-48/STM-16 services transport over a platform capable of low-rate services. The muxponder card architecture contains client interfaces that are mapped to a single line interface, without accessing the shelf cross-connect fabric.
