I also don't understand the purpose of the 221 black ink as it never seems to be used. This prevents me from ordering a combo pack because I have way too many black 221 cartridges on hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On Line Ink Ordering from Cana In addition to how easy and quick it is to change cartridge in my printer, when one of the 5 cartridges shows near empty, a box pops up to ask if I want to order. I click in it, tell them what ink I want, give them billing info and it arrives in 4-6 days. I have been doing this for about 6 years, so at that age, ink at local outlets are more expensive than ordering direct.
