High-performance, L-series telephoto zoom lens combining lightweight and compactness with an f/4 maximum aperture. Inner focusing and the ring USM enable quick and quiet autofocusing. Also, a circular polarizing filter can be attached and used without difficulty because the front lens element does not rotate during focusing. The tripod collar (sold separately) is the same one used with the EF 300mm f/4L USM.

Canon EF zoom lens 70-200mm is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 47.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So perfect I love this lens. It has taken my photography to a new level. If you don't have an l series lens you should get one. The difference is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from L-ot to smile about. One of the users I've discovered that nobody has mentioned is as a macro lens. There I said it. I put a Kenke 12mm extension tube on it and just wow! No need to buy the 100 or 180 macro lens as this covers all ranges. I have a 50d crop camera and a 6d full frame camera so all my lenses are very versatile. Range is 70 ff to 320 crop frame with macro as a bonus and this lens is about as much a value as you will find anywhere. I won't repeat all the effusive praise others have written except to say I concur with most of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great Lens I purchased this lens second hand and must say its perfect! The majority of my shots have been sports shots. And i can't get over how clear and vivid the pics are. I am still learning to use in low light but during a game in the sun this lens is fantastic!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fast, very sharp I have been using this lens for a few months now and can say that it is a great beginner zoom lens. Without image stabilization this lens handles just fine and have found no difficulties with it at 200mm. While it does struggle moderately in low light it definitely can be worked around. Overall great lens, especially for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have had this lens for a couple of months and haven't used it that much as yet due to surgery a few weeks ago. However I did test it at all focal lengths and all apertures and apart from the fact that the blurring of the background varied with the aperture, the subject was as sharp as a razor in every frame!I used it handheld for an equestrian event yesterday and just about every shot was razor sharp (remembering to never lower the speed to less than the focal length of the lens). I just left it on 250sec.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great first "L" lens I have had this lens for over 6 months and have taken a few thousands pics so far. First, this is not a small lens and does not have IS. So, unless it is really bright (plenty of lighting) then a tripod is a must. However, it is "L" series glass and there just isn't anything like it. Hand held in full sunlight I got some exceptional pics. Also, with a monopod I was able to get some really good action shots of softball games. All in all, if you have the money get the IS version (or better yet get the f2.8 IS version) but if you are on a budget like me, this is a great addition to your arsenal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens I have this lens and just love it. I do not miss not having image stabilization. It sounds weird, but it just feels so well balanced on my camera (either my 70d or the 6d). It is one of the cheaper lenses I have but it is probably my favorite. Its great for portraits and I even drag it around for general travel photography when I', using the 6d.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lens I'm only 14 and I got this lens for Christmas. I couldn't be happier!!! It's a great lens but not the best aperture range [only going down to 4]. But still a great lens!!!
