I am afraid to unwrap the rest of the cartridges. My hand is stained red 4 days before Christmas and I need cartride ink for my job also. I will try to send pictures.

While the ink from Canon is fine, I'm not happy that the printer is using the ink without me trying to use it. Canon needs to re-design the printer so that it only uses color ink when I print in color. Another option would be a redesign so that the printer doesn't lock if the color ink runs out and the user is not trying to print in color. This was a purchase that I shouldn't have needed to make.

I have been buying Canon ink for quite a while now and every paper I print out is clear and crisp. There are no blurry lines, nor letters missing here and there, and no ink smears going up and down the paper. I have even printed a few pictures and whether I'm using the proper paper or not, the pictures come out clear and well defined. It is worth the few extra dollars to buy the best.

So I went for piece of mind. This is my second printer because i used alternative ink, and one day it simply stoppped, and canon was not going to respond for that, so I learned my lesson, better to get my supplies from the manufacturing company!

Therefore, it was another several days before I could print because I was completely out of XL. I hope you still have the one with the XL black. I will pay more attention next time, though.

We follow the instructions exactly, but when we snap the orange seal off, we get a squirt of ink all over our hands and counter top. Other than that, they're great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from messy I have ordered my ink from here many times and have not had a problem, however, this last order which consisted of a 4 pk. of CLI 251 of different and a separate one of the CLI-251 Gray were very messy, As soon as I removed the orange protective thing from the cartridge, ink started oozing out onto my hands and the floor, All 4 of the various colors and the gray one spilled out on my hands and if you have ever had this ink on your hands, you know how hard it is to get off. The biggest thing of course was the money wasted because half of them spilled.

I hardly use any color printing; almost all black & white and in spite of this the color cartridges run out. 2. The software that reports the ink status is very poor; it always reports the cartridges are low/out of ink long before they actually run out. Either there is a problem with the printer or the ink cartridge reporting system. I have learned to disregard out of ink notices until the ink actually runs out during printing; I can get 50-100 more pages of printing after the printer reports low/out of ink in a cartridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon printer inks. Canon inks are always the best. 4 star because they don't last very long and too expensive. The printer takes 5 but this pack is only 4. Had to order extra black for the 8700 series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon Pixma ink replacement cartridges This is the ink that came with my printer when I purchased it and the only ink replacements I have ever used. It prints beautiful photographs and documents. This is my second Canon printer; they last for years without any problems, and I would recommend them to others. Support has been great until the virus and now it is difficult to talk to a human. I am living in CA.
