Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good 3.1 Hub, needs option for Power Adapter The hub does what the description states... allows you to use multiple USB A type and C type devices with an existing USB C type port. It does not have passthorugh charging, and will therefore not charge your latptop / macbook (nor does it state anywhere in the product description that it will). Based on the reviews I am seeing, people did not fully read the product description... As a simple USB hub allowing for USB 3.0 transfer speeds it works great. My portable Type C drives function as they should with this hub, and it can charge my Type C enabled smartphone. The only negative, is that it should come with a power adapter to allow for more current use across the USB ports, to support faster charging and power of larger / more power hunger USB devices such as full size 3.5in External Hard Drives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Users: Read product description Belkin: Update it This hub has _no_ power delivery. But it never stated otherwise. It is what it is advertised (and quite good at it). It is nothing more, but you cannot blame Belkin for that. Although Belkin might consider highlighting this fact in the description, as most users will buy it for Macs with no other ports to charge... but that tells more about apple... (no offense, I am a MacBook owner too)

Since the MacBook only has one port, any USB Hub that doesn't pass the charge through from the charger to the MacBook is more or less useless. Otherwise I'm sure this hub is great, as most Belkin gear is, but for any MacBook owner it's a complete waste of money.

I bought this thinking I could keep my power cord connected thru one USB-C and use the other USB-C to add an external item. The regular USB's work fine but the USB-C ports DO NOT work. Neither USB-C port will give power to my computer, neither usb-c port will recognize my usb-c SD card reader, and only one will give power to (but not allow me to access) my external hard drive. The card reader and external drive have no issues when connected directly to the usb-c drive on the computer. DO NOT WASTE your $$$$.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I read the reviews for a change Thanks to all you reviewers who obviously bought this hub for the same reason I was ABOUT to buy one ... namely to keep my Macbook charging while simultaneously using USB-A and USB-C peripherals like storage or Ethernet. To Belkin, I admit the your video and description *is* accurate, but you really aught to spell out that this hub will NOT answer the need that so many of us apparently have! To all you posters; sorry you wasted your money on this device but thank you for your posts so others like me don't follow in your footsteps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn’t charge my laptop This thing is not worth the money. This thing doesn’t charge my MacBook. It defeats the whole purpose of even having it. I needed more ports. I make music. I tried to connect it to my interface to free up my port on my laptop to charge it. It doesn’t work with that either. I wish I could get my money back.

I had originally ordered a docking station but with the chip shortage, no telling when Dell will deliver. Couldn't us the new laptop with the mini hub which shipped same day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but there are a few things to be aware of. It primarily does as advertised. I find it a shame that there are not any USB-C hubs that offer many many USB-C ports. This one offers only two. So, you're only getting one additional USB-C hub. What is more, there are a lot of external displays that accept USB-C; however, this hub won't transmit to an external display (at least not in my experience with two different external displays touting USB-C connections. The form factor for this hub is good: nice and small

The computer does recognize the iPhone and also the telephone is being charged, however the computer does not charges... it´s worthless..... don´t buy it... The worst? I already throw to the trash the containing packaging....

Honestly, not really sure why that wasn't a thought it the engineers head when designing this product. 4 Ports to power and connect all my peripherals but no way to keep my MacBook Charged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't charge the macbook I bought this based on the description that it would charge the macbook thinking I could also have a USB key or some other USB A device plugged in. The USB A ports work fine, but the USB C port doesn't charge my macbook, even when it is the only thing plugged in. Wish I had opted for a better adaptor and not thrown out my money on this one.

I plugged this into my new Macbook Pro and then tried to use my external monitor through the USB-C ports. Would not work. Monitor plugged directly into Mac works fine. Next it tried the USB 3.0 ports with a USB SD card reader. The reader lights came on but the card was not recognized. When I plug the reader in through a simple converter cable purchased at Walmart it works as expected. I purchased this hub through Amazon so I am returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Also won't pass along hi-res or 1080p HDMI video Not only does this not pass through power with the USB-c ports, but my Acer (2560X1440) monitor is just black screen, even when only using the lower res 1080p HDMI. (I have an HDMI to usb-c converter that works fine--directly into my macbook pro, but not through this black box.) Wow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does break WIFI nearly completely Like for a few other users it shuts down my WIFI nearly completely. Theres still some traffic according to MenuMeters extension but this has no use when I am not able to use my WIFI with this plugged in. Belkin should fix this problem asap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ravpower Tool encryption volume is a pain The drive is basically working, but it automatically mounts a second volume, Ravpower Tool." You can't erase or otherwise do away with it. And it doesn't work well with macOS Catalina. It actually mounts copy after copy of this volume, so the Finder sidebar shows 8 or more "Ravpower Tool" volumes by the end of the day. I don't want this at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works but needs to be more travel-friendly My laptop only has two USB ports, and I needed two additional ports to connect my wireless mouse & wireless keyboard. I hooked up this hub port via the laptop's USB-C port and it works well. No issues so far. Although it is a bit clunkier & heavier than expected; and does not lay parallel to my laptop very well due to the cord position. Wish it worked more like an attached adapter rather than on a cord dongle. I think that would make it lighter and more streamlined for travel purposes.

The keyboard works, but the monitor does not. What a useless product. They should have a list of things this CANNOT do vs. what this can do because the latter is very, very limited to the point of being utterly useless. Returning the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unique port adaptor I searched high and low for a way to simultaneously connect my 2 SSDs to my single USB C port in my Surface Book 2 using USB C and this was the only solution that I found. It is very nice and slim. The output cable folds nicely to store inside the profile of the device. What a nice design!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is utterly useless I have a Pixelbook Go with two USB-C ports. One I use for charging, one for video out. I got this so I can add a mouse. But it will not support video or power throughput. So it cannot go on either port and is not any use.
