The Vertiv Avocent MergePoint Unity KVM over IP and Serial Console Switch combines analog and digital technology for flexible, centralized control of data center servers and virtual media. The IP-based system facilitates the operation, activation and maintenance of remote branch offices where trained operators may not be available and delivers flexible management of connected devices and secure remote access from anywhere, any time. It keeps troubleshooting and remediation simple for small data centers, retail stores, healthcare facilities, school districts, government offices, bank branches and other edge deployments requiring centralized management.

Avocent MergePoint Unity 2016DAC - KVM switch - 16 ports - managed - rack-m is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang For Buck Needed a reliable device to diagnose and get serves backup remotely. I use DSView in conjunction with this over IP switch to manage all of my out of band equipment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this KVM switch at all costs! My company owns two Avocent DSR2035 units that have worked fine for years. CDW recommended the Avocent MergePoint Unity 2016DAC as a lower cost alternative. The local interface, however, makes no sense! You cannot toggle from one video session to the another with a simple keystroke. There is no OSD! Instead, you have to navigate the god awful menu of the OBWI, close one session and start another. Yet, the unit will scan video sessions automatically, if you so desire. It's the worse thing I ever bought from CDW! I stupidly threw away all the packing material , or you can believe this hunk of junk would have been returned.
