Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Dropped the new battery in and it works. 'Nuff said. Had some problem connecting the wires--they didn't seem to fit too well. Would have liked a lower cost but considering I won't need a new one for three years, it's not too bad. I thought you had to reset the three year battery timer in the software, but the instructions that came with the battery did not mention this and I couldn't find it when I looked. (didn't look too hard.)

APC Smart UPS 1000, upgraded to a 1500 have been used for years for my computers with a few battery replacements, the 1500 still working. Now thls smaller UPS p-apcrbc110 battery is used with a smaller Back-UPS 600 for desk lights and soon for a 55" Samsung SmartTV 4K to be installed on a wall. The Back-UPS 600 was given to me by a neighbor, needing a new battery, now powering and surge protecting with the new p-apcrbc110 battery.

We have been using the APC backup system with both of our computers for about 9 years, a blessing during any of our power outages and living in the country that can happen fairly often! It is great when working on the computer and a surprise power outage occurs, plenty of time to complete a normal shutdown.

So when the original battery died, replacing it with the same part made sense, financially and environmentally. The only reason I gave it less than 5 stars is the inaccurate recycling information for the old battery: none of the local locations listed on the APC website will take this kind of battery. I will end up having to ship it elsewhere for recycling.

However, it used to be that you would send a shipping label with the purchase and so one could just put the old battery back in the box the new one had shipped in, slap on the label and send it back to you to be properly recycled and keep costs low. It had been some time since my last purchase and i did not receive a return label this time. Not sure if it was an oversight or you all simply stopped this process.

The biggest con is that the UPS unit cannot be used without a battery in place so once it fails you are hosed until the new one arrives.

The only issue I had was getting the wires done and that may have been something to do with me rather than the actual wires as I found it confusing and frustrating to put them on correctly so I had to have my father do it for me. Now that it is correctly done and working, all is well.

You know it's doing the job because you don't even think about it. When the battery slowly died out, I had no problem and never gave it a second thought about going to the company to purchase a replacement. This is my first order with Schneider Electric and they seem to be following the tradition of outstanding service to even the little guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just popped it I bought this a couple of weeks ago and didn’t put it in for a couple of days. (A little nervous about how hard it would be. I shouldn’t have worried because it was easy! Just open the back and unhook the old battery and pop in the new one. PLUS they sent a FedEx label to use to get the old battery recycled!

Ordered from the APC website, received the battery very quickly, plugged the battery into the shell and we were up and running again. Would definitely recommend this product to friends and businesses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't order from APC- Terrible Customer Experience Terrible customer experience. There was terrible communication regarding when the package would ship/arrive. The carrier could not deliver the package at my office (even though we receive packages all the time) and APC did not communicate with me about it. I waited for this package for weeks until I had to sit on the phone and wait for an hour in order to speak with someone. Terrible customer experience. I should have just ordered from Amazon or their competitor. I will never order from APC again.

It became inadequate for my PC, so I moved it to the router so that we still have connectivity during power outages about 9 years ago. It performed fine until just now in 2020 when we had to replace the battery. I'm looking forward to another decade of use. Replacement was pretty easy.

I'm sure the replacement battery will work fine, but my PRMARY reason for spending the $50 was to RETURN the old one. The sales pitch seemed to indicate I would get a return label - so now I have to throw the old one in the landfill and harm the environment because I am concerned about the environment, but I don't know where to take it or how to find out where to take it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't beat APC. I recently replaced the battery in my APC Back-up surge suppressor. The purchase process is easy, the cost is low, the old battery recycle return is free, and best of all, the service is rapid. I have used APC Back-up and surge suppressing equipment to protect my computer and accessories for many years. We do experience occasional power failures, but we have never sustained any damage. Nor have we ever lost any data due to power interruption. It may be impossible to prove a negative, but considering the low cost to protect your equipment, and the high cost of replacing it, it only makes sense to me spend a little to save a lot.

It charged to 100% quickly after installation. Very satisfied. I have another UPS just like this one, so I may be ordering another battery soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick, Effective Replacement Our original APC battery lasted far longer than expected, quite a few years. When the UPS indicated by a steady tone that it was no longer any good, it was straightforward for us to go to their website, find the original model (took a bit of searching to get the exact model, given they have so many and we purchased ours some decade back), and order the replacement. It arrived promptly, was a tad pricey but not out of range and certainly saved compared to buying a new UPS. (One note: The replacement battery was larger than the original battery - a kind-of bonus, but required us to carve out some plastic standoffs inside the UPS battery compartment to get it to fit. Looks like the original UPS was designed with this new battery size in mind, and perhaps at the last moment in production put in the standoffs as they ended up with the smaller battery, perhaps availability or cost-driven.)
