APC KVM 2G Enterprise Digital/IP - KVM / USB switch - 32 ports - rack-mount is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's OK - when it works The APC KVM2132P is a nice enough unit for when it works, but it's got some pretty major shortcomings, at least for me:-On HPE GEN8 units, it requires a BIOS update for video to work. Not a big deal, since they should be up to date, but this was a pain point when it was first installed.-On HPE Gen9 units, the video MUST be set to always-on in the BIOS to get video. Again, not a big deal, but it took some digging to find a KB for this from APC, and then drag out a crash cart to re-configure servers again.-On HPE Gen10 units, video doesn't work. AT ALL. I've been bugging APC about it, and support claimed they're working on a new firmware to fix it (several months ago), but nothing yet.-The remote console Windows client doesn't work, and the Java client (while not too bad) is still based on Java. Gross.Overall the build quality seems good, and there is plenty of great information that's available on the web console, but the trouble it has had with common enterprise servers kills it for me. APC support is always very friendly, and replaced a bad unit quickly, but the video issues should've been fixed two generations ago.
