A power strip from a trusted company
I received this item free in exchange for my honest review but that being said, I'm not too impressed. While I have no way to test the product's surge protection ability I have no reason to doubt APC's claims. They're a reputable brand who have historically made high quality and well performing products and this seems to be no different. It's of sturdy construction, mostly black with a light grey bottom and a thick cord. It has a power & status LED (green) and a broad power rocker.
So why the three stars? Design. It's pretty bad.
First up is the plug. It's not angled and with its heavy duty cord and grounded plug, you're going to need a significant amount of clearance to plug this in. You won't be hiding it behind any furniture, that's for sure.
Next up is the unit itself. It's very lightweight and with such a thick cord you'll find that the tail wags the dog unless you have some heavy power adapters plugged in (more on this later) or you use mounting screws. The mounting screws are also problematic because instead of two large screw slide holes as most strips have, this has four smaller ones. They are bidirectional though, so that's nice.
The power rocker is not recessed so it can be bumped off accidentally. Weirdly when it's in the off position it cannot be triggered without deliberate action, the rocker lays flat with the surface of the unit but when on the switch raises above the surface. It really should be the opposite unless you don't care about whatever you're plugging into this unit or the unit will located away from anywhere someone may accidentally hit it but with only a three foot cord I'd imagine that's not many places.
Lastly though is an unforgivable sin: bad receptacle layout. This is not a small strip--it's wider and taller than most and the end with the surge protection and the switch is big as well. As such, it's really disappointing that the plugs are oriented vertically so that most power bricks render one or even two receptacles below it unusable. This strip is more than long enough to accommodate horizontal receptacles with spacing for power bricks but it just doesn't. Inexcusable.
All in all the unit works and it does presumably will protect whatever is plugged into it from a small (540 joules) surge, but its poor design seems to me to be more compromises than it's worth.

A Nice Compact Package
This is a handy six-outlet surge arrester in a slim compact package. The short cord is handy if you want to use it near the outlet - not long cord to deal with.
The only disadvantage I've found is I'd like to be able to hang it on the wall, but the slotted holes in the back run the wrong way. You have to hang it vertically, while I want to mount it horizontally.

Good Protection
We have power surges so I was able to see this product while having a lot of stress on the item. The protection is good - no problems with the devices I had plugged in, unlike the strip I had prior to the APC. The slots are a bit close together but I was able to do three devices with the USB charging units (which are large). The cord is pretty stiff, but all is worth the good protection.

Love APC's new form factors
APC has widened the basic 6-outlet power strip to make things easier to plug in and fit underneath tight spaces. APC is trusted quality and well worth a few extra $$ for what you get.

Secure Outlet Extension ToGo
The APC outlet extension modules are light and easy to move around. I was very pleased with the ease of connecting electrical equipment with hardly any effort. The only problem was the 3' electrical cord, still bulky and not very easy to bend. Which APC solve the problem with either retractable or swiveling AC Cord. All in all a very safe and reliable product, as I always expected from APC.

Duel Essential SurgeArrest
I received the Duel SurgeArrest at the same time my wife and I picked up our new RV. We didn't know how few outlets were available until we started to use it so it obvious where these two SurgeArrests were going. Didn't occur to us after we plugged a few items into them that they offered great protection from the instant power delivered plugging in the shore-power cord or when the generator kicked in. A must for boats and RV's.

Nicely Spaced Outlets
"This room has enough outlets," said no tech enthusiast ever. Sure, you could buy a cheap outlet strip from a big box store. But you wouldn't get the APC quality or the protection it provides.
With six outlets and a three-foot cord, this dual pack of surge-protected outlet strips is just what I needed for the new devices I recently purchased. The outlets are well-spaced and allow larger power blocks to sit side-by-side. A switch controls the outlets, and a light next to the switch lets you know the surge protection is working.
All-in-all, this is a nice dual-pack to have on hand for your next electronic purchase.

Great Little Surge Suppressor
I use this on my computer peripherals that don't warrant being plugged into my UPS. So far have not had any problems

Basic Short Cord Dual Pack!
Very basic surge protector for 6 outlets. Looks great in black. Dual Pack. Shorter 3ft cord which is great for when space is more limited. Would definitely recommend.

Clean Cable Management
This is a great basic Surge Protector. The 3 Ft Cord was perfect to organize all my plugs without a bunch of extra wire to hide. Provides all the additional plugs needed and protects my equipment. :-
