A Great Surge Arrestor / Extension Cord
This is a handy six-outlet surge arrester in a slim compact package. The ten-foot cord is handy if you need a medium length extension cord. Great for meetings where you need to hook up multiple devices where outlets are not necessarily handy, and surge protection to boot.

i've used these product for years
i needed a power strip with longer cord. i used an extension cord now this product i don't need the cord. makes for easier hook up.

When you need the reach of a long cord
This is a far better solution than stringing several surge protectors in a line. A couple of our buildings don't have outlets every three feet; we needed the reach between outlets to plug everything in. This surge protector keeps our equipment protected without having to drag an extension cord first or having to link several surge protectors.

Did not protect during surge
Use these on every PC in our small office (6 PCs. There was building electrical maintenance and one PC was burned out unrepairable due to the outage and subsequent surge during reconnection. All other PCs and server equipment were protected. Will be making a claim for the burnt PC.

Plug not Right Angle as stated on website
I just received the PE610 from Amazon, however it has a straight plug and not the right angle plug stated on this website. Otherwise, I would recommend this product to others if they don't need a right angle plug. I've attached photos.

Good Protection
We have been having power surges several times a week so I had a good environment to test the product. It seemed a little light weight with a really stiff cord but it protected all three of the devices I was charging during all of the power surges. The slots are a bit close together but I had enough room to put in three chargers.

Being off-grid, and having a workshop filled with electric- power equipment makes it prudent to have surge protection. This particular APC Surge Protector is perfect for my particular application. That it mounts on the wall, and has a ten-foot cord gives me flexibility. No power surges as yet (that I'm aware of); but I'm confident that my equipment is now well protected.

Ideal with 10 foot cord.
This six outlet surge protector is ideal for equipment that is a distance from a power source. The 10 foot cord make it ideal for those circumstances.

Just the Ticket
I use surge protectors with musical equipment, and previously I've had to get one with a short cord and use an extension cord. This APC 610 is going to be my new go-to unit. It's got the standard inline receptacles, a conveniently located switch, and a light that shows the surge protection is intact and working. Best of all is the generous ten-foot cord, just what I needed. You can't always get decent Joule ratings in these, but the 610 handles up to 1080 Joules, better than average for a plain and simple unit. I've never had to exercise the insurance that comes with these, but the limit of $50,000 in connected equipment seems extremely beneficial. I haven't opened the unit, but I envision the typical high quality surge protection components that would be inside, the hallmark of APC.
