Ergonomic design keeps the arm positioned for natural, comfortable movement. Clinically proven to reduce muscle strain and discomfort associated with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and repetitive stress injury. Compatible using any USB port computer.
3M EM500GPS Small Ergonomic USB Wired Ergonomic Mouse is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good mouse I have been using the 3M Ergonomic mouse for at least 6 mouths now and after using a regular one I was getting pains from my hands upward in my arm. After looking online for something better, all but this one seemed to make you hand facing downward. I thought that this was likely the problem. The 3M has taken the pain away and I hardly ever feel any pain in my arm which is great when your job is at the computer all day. One improvement I would like to see is being able to configure the buttons. The lower hand button I would like to change from scrolling to the enter button. If you are experiencing pain in the hand, wrist and arm try this mouse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Basic Mouse Is All You Need I've been using a 3M Joystick Mouse for about 10 years now. I believe I avoided carpal tunnel with this mouse. I know I solved my wrist and arm pain. I won't use any other mouse. I know nothing about software that goes with this mouse as I've never read the manual that's available for it. I just know I'm using the wired one at work on a pc with Windows 10 and it works as expected with no issues. Just plugged it in and it worked fine. I started with a wireless one and it came apart on me in about 3 years, but it still works. That one is on my home computer. I keep taping it back together. That's my 10 year mouse and it's still working. No other mouse I've tried has lasted or felt as good as a 3M.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in class Have used a dozen of these wired mice in short and long version. My customer responses range from "fantastic" to "it corrected my carpal tunnel pain". Two year warranty has been appreciated also since they do have roughly a 3 year life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works good... but is it already "old school"? I received my ergonomic mouse and was excited to see what else it could do besides "just mouse". The owners manual said there was a Software Utility Program that would help orient the mouse and give you the ability to do some other things with the "X-button". When I tried to download the software I got a message that the link was bad. I contacted support and was told the software was designed for Windows XP and the ergonomic mouse "has not been tested for Windows 8" (the exact quote from the 3M support team). Since Windows 8 is now almost 2 years old, and Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, is this mouse and its related drivers no longer being supported by 3M? It feels good, works pretty well, but I'd sure like to have the other features mentioned in the manual that are available with the Software Utility Program. I'd probably rate the mouse higher if the software was available and I wasn't now fearful that with future releases of Windows this mouse could be come obsolete.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Preferred Method of Mousing! I've had carpal tunnel for years. Then came along this mouse and I must say, this mouse has changed my life! I don't think we can ever get rid of the effects of mousing on a computer all day, the stress and pain it gives to our hands. But this sure is the best thing that has come along to help ease the pain. Forget all those expensive mice and trackballs that claim they relieve the stress off your hands. They don't nearly come close to how much less stress my hands feel when I started using this. Imagine being back in kindergarten and holding a huge marker to draw. You held it like a joystick! The most comfortable position that our hands can be in all day is a closed fist. That's why they tell you that you should always let go of your mouse and go into a closed fist position when resting or reading your screen. Never keep your hands open and resting on the mouse. Holding this joystick is the closest thing to being a closed fist position. The only con I do have to say is not a con on the product itself, but just like any other carpal tunnel syndrome cause, if you tend to start putting too much weight down onto the joystick while mousing, over time that can also cause stress to your hands. But that is the same with a normal mouse or trackpad. You never want to put too much weight on them either. So same rules apply when ergonomically trying to mouse, but this device makes it 100 times better.
