However HP tech support was very helpful and polite, plus, there were no prolonged wait times while on the phone. I like the convenience of ordering the printer on the phone directly from HP. It arrived quickly with free shipping. The nearest retail location where I could have purchased a printer would have been a 50 mile round trip.

This computer is so easy to use and I’m using it daily for work or for my kid’s projects. The quality of the images is very good and it prints out the pages very fast. The installation was very easy and it is the perfect size to have it next to my vanity desk. Also another great feature is that it comes with the free trial for the ink program, this is very convenient and it saves you money. It is set up with the amount of pages you use in a month, so you pay only what you use, way better than buying a cartridge and only using your printer a few times. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Dissatisfied Customer I ordered two different HP printers. I had to return the first one because the cord would not stay attached to the printer. When I received the second printer, the HP Envy 6455e, it had the same issue. The power cord would fall off the printer at the slightest movement. In order to return the two printers, I had to make two separate 64 mile round trips to the nearest FED-X return center. That cost a lot of gas and with the prices today, that was a burden! I have always used an HP printer but I will never purchase another one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SCANNER FAILURE I would like to provide a good review as the HP ENVY 6455e printer seems to me to be a good product, however, mine arrived to me with an irreparable fault in the scanner and I had to send it back. I must add that the return process was a bit cumbersome, it was very difficult to connect with a human agent and although they were very friendly and professional, I had to spend a lot of my time (more than 6 hours in total) to complete the return of the equipment.

Very easy to set up and directions very easy to follow and understand. All other printers fail to compare to HP!! The printing quality is awesome!! Thanks HP for quality made products!! Inside the box comes two cartridges (1 black and 1 color), a power cable and a small instruction manual. No USB cable, just the power cable. The printer comes well packaged, which demonstrates the care that HP has for protecting its products. Automatic bivolt (110v/220v). It means that this printer is exported to other countries. Setup and installation is simple (Plug and Play). It works through WIFI connection. The installation process is very simple. The well-explained instruction manual does not require much installation knowledge. For a better user experience, you can download the HP Smart app on your computer from the website and also from the IOS or Android app store for your smartphone. One of the advantages of having this application on your cell phone is that you can print and scan your documents and photos directly from your smartphone. The app makes your printer experience a lot easier. About usage. The printer has good print, copy and scanner speeds for the purpose it was designed for. She has an excellent performance. I can say that it is excellent print quality on colored documents. It automatically reports the ink level of the cartridges directly to HP so new cartridges can be shipped ahead of time for replacement. This is sensational! It comes with a 6-month free HP Instant Ink Plan cartridge plan. It only has two physical buttons on the back of the printer. One for on/off and another for Wi-Fi configuration and it also has soft-touch buttons on the front to activate and deactivate its functions. The buttons on the front also have colored LED lighting. The printer also has colored lighting. I thought this proposal was sensational. It looks beautiful on my table! Her design is minimalist. In short, this printer positively surprised me with its quality. The value it costs in the market, I believe the value is fair for your customers. It delivers a good experience at a fair price. The cost-benefit ratio is excellent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome I recieved this HPEnvy 6455e and I absolutely love this machine. I can print from anywhere on my phone with Bluetooth air print ect. It prints amazing quality. It scans with a breeze. The fact that it automatically orders ink for whatever I use I great, I never have to worry about running out. This machine actually does more than I will ever use. I highly recommend this for anyone. I run a business and use a lot of paper., so you can actually order it too. Amazing machine. As for the HP ink program I was Leary about it at first but it is actually a good program , I ordered my first refill and it was here in a week. As for reordering it sis supposed to know when I’m low and send it straight to me , which I love I Dont have to go to store and buy it. It is cheaper from HP and the ink cartridges are bigger and have more ink in them. So if you are scheptical like me just go for it you won’t be disappointed.

Now it's all newtowkr-printing so it's really easy to ptu the printer where it fits as part of home decoration. All-in-one in this compact size is just mesmerizing! Also it comes with the hp instant ink program . I like that I don't have to worry about running out of ink but the way it charges can be a bit of headache.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP ENVY 6455e with Instant Ink Subscription HP package this printer very nicely and I must admit I did have a bit a trouble setting it up for some reason as it seemed to keep jamming the paper as something stuck and I had to take everything out and became very frustrated so didn’t get set up on first attempt however needed to print so hassled with it once again & somehow got it working but it seems to shake quite a bit when printing compared to my previous 2 printers however quality is great. This HP printer includes the Instant Ink feature which piqued my curiosity as the worst thing is running out of ink mid project!! Received my first refill of ink which is an awesome feature depending upon how frequently you print and to assure you never run out whe needed. Time will tell if worth the investment based upon frequency of use/need to print however a very clever option. Looking forward to printing photos soon. I do love the purple lighting which adds a nice touch to this all in one. This also offers an awesome app for on your mobile devices. The color bars and sounds are ridiculous you have to dig through the manual to see what a blue changing to violet light means with a certain chime and lights flashing glowing, beeping, or none at all. We have several devices we print from and it drops them all at random. The HP print app is atrocious with requiring information that I don't want to share. The App works on some laptops and not others. It eats ink. Like a hole in the gas tank, very very thirsty. The only redemption is the retailer sold me a warranty that I can return the printer for a new replacement, for any reason at any time in 5 years - which I will do. I want the HP development team or project planner to know the chimes and lights to communicate like R2D2 is the worst idea ever.

I've printed so many pages with no issues at all. The setup was also very easy. It's also not too bulky, it fits perfectly on top of my office Desk with room to spare. This is by far the best printer I've ever had. I have really been liking The ink program it's innovative and helpful, ink delivered to my door with out any effort at all. I highly recommend it.

Setting up was very straight forward using the QR code to link you to the set up page and app. This connects it to your wireless network (USB connection is an option as well) allowing you to print from anywhere. Loading the ink trays is a simple task. It only requires two tanks, black and color. Printing from you phone, tablet, laptop or desktop is simple using the app. It offers lots of customization options for what ever you are printing. The printer is also pretty quiet compared to my previous printers. HP offers an innovative automatic ink delivery service that will send ink based on your printer usage levels, so you never have to worry about running out of ink. I've already received my first replacement ink shipment. It's a great program and I really like it. It's one less thing I need to shop for or worry about. So far I'm very happy with this printer and plan to get plenty of use out it. I purchased the product at a discount in exchange for my review.

I didn't set it up, but I had no problem connecting to it and using it to print from my laptop and phone. The glowing lights and dings are calming and futuristic compared to any printer I have used before. Scanning was easy super too. I haven't had any issues so far, but I don't use it every day either. I use this printer about twice per week and mostly to print coupons. I like using this printer. It stays off when not being used and works every time I start it up without a hassle. I almost forgot to mention the Instant Inc Program almost immediately sent additional cartridges well before they were needed. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that this process was proactive unlike anyone else I have used in the past. Go HP! Unlike traditional printers, for this HP printer with Instant Ink, we don’t need to shop around for the ink (comparing quality, quantity, pricing etc.,). It is so good to know the ink comes to you when the printer is running low on ink. I feel with Instant Ink subscription life is becoming easy and cost effective too. We faced no issues while setting up the printer either, and we had good wireless connectivity. The speed and quality of the prints is also very good, and the prints have good brightness and color. Initial wireless setup was smooth and easy, it has exceeded my expectation (how smoothly it connected and completed). I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Scanner, copier, and printer in one! There’s a light that changes color to let you know when it’s ready, or if there is a problem. There’s a paper tray too. The one thing I don’t like is it is slow when printing. The one thing I love is printing can be done from anywhere! The first of my instant ink was delivered, it is nice to know I have it. Especially since this delivery will be sent based upon my need and usage! Oh, One last thing here’s a tip when looking for the way to get to the ink cartridges, you have to lift the clear part of the copier where you would face your sheet down on too it. That actually lifts upward and there you will find where to place your color and black ink cartridges . I skimmed through the instructions because most printers are pretty self-explanatory but that I struggled with clearly as the video shows! So, I thought I would share my knowledge with you for anyone who may be a little bit like me and scan the directions ! Hahaha! It took me about 11 minutes to set it up from the box to my desk. My favorite part of this printer isnt the printer itself, but the HP Smart Ink subscription. Over these past month it has been a life saver. With so much going on in every day life I tend to forget the little things and HP Smart Ink covers one of them. It's a good investment indeed!

It works well, not too sure about the HP smart app because not everything prints from there, unless I have it set up incorrectly. Very hard to get HP on the phone for tech support but I will try. I even purchased the care plan.

The printer is very easy to setup, whether it is through the app as it suggests or even through a computer. It stepped me through every process of setting up the printer and account to the HP Ink replenishment. Pictures printed put great, definitely recommend it for that. After doing a few prints of pictures and pdf files, I noticed that the printer is a little slow. Not sure if I have to tweak some settings, I will have to look at the settings. The app shows ink level so you always have a great view of the levels of the two cartridges and is easy to use. In general the printer is worth the money and can't wait to see how the ink service works with my first delivery. I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

Compact, lower height profile and white printer is almost silent when it is printing - hardly hear the printing head striking anything! I love the low intensity blueish tint about 6 inch wide LED light that stays lit at all times; looks beautiful and very soothing at night when all other lights are off in the room. Just beautiful

It was very easy to set up with my phone and I was also able to connect it easily to my laptop. I love being able to print wirelessly from anywhere to my home printer. I tested it out with some photos that I wanted to frame. It was very easy to select photos from my phone using the app. On the first try, I printed a full 8 1/2 x 11 photo and I was super impressed with the quality of it. The colors were vibrant in the picture it was worthy of a frame. I needed a smaller version of the photo so I went back to the app and found you’re easily able to manipulate the size by just moving your fingers around. I was able to print a smaller size photo, which also looked great in a frame. The buttons on this are not necessarily intuitive because they are just touch buttons that light up without labels so you need to look at the directions to see what each does, but the quality and the ease of using it are unmatched by my previous printers. One of the most innovative things about this printer is the “Instant Ink” program it comes with. The printer manages the amount of ink you use and notifies the company when your ink is running low so they can ship new cartridges to you. My printer came with a set of cartridges and I already have a back up set on the way after enrolling. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up The HP Envy 6455e is easy to set up. The good. I love the output of the print. The colors are bold and bright on regular paper and cardstock. Makes great photos and prints very fast. I use for crafting and home office and it is great for both. It makes great stickers. The not so good. It goes offline frequently and it is hard get my laptop synced with it. I have to reboot the computer in order for them to connect. I don't have that problem with other printers in the home. Overall, this is a great printer for basic office use. I love the convenience of having ink shipped based on my usage. I have received this printer in exchange for my honest review.

The little white rollers pop out, it constantly tells me I have a paper jam when I don't or the rollers pop out, the paper tray is open or no paper when there is. It takes a minute to 15 mins to fix it just to print a few pages. Don't buy this printer will be contacting hp for a refund. And I just recieved it a week ago brand new.

Today it’s working fine. I have followed instructions to unplug, wait and plug again (both printer and wall plug) and it helped…. For a while! If this continues I’ll return the darn thing!

Some on normal printer papers and others on wax paper. This printer hands it all well. I wouldn't recommend it for printing high quality photos but if you're in a pinch it will work. Faxing and scanning was a breeze no hiccups at all. NOW HERE IS WHERE I WAS OFFICALLY WON OVER. There is a mode on this printer that is great for moms or people who need to print but hate the noise. Quiet Mode. Quiet Mode slows down printing to reduce the noise the printer makes when printing. Is prefect for those big print jobs that have 50+ pages. Just turn it on and let it print. I used it twice and didn't disturb my little ones sleep at all. And as if you need another reason to love this printer, HP throws in 6 months of free ink. Its a monthly smart ink subscription program that delivers ink cartridges to your door. For a forgetful person like me it is amazing. I no longer have to worry about having enough ink or running out because with HP Instant Ink they automatically send you ink. Hands down one of my favorite features that come with this printer. You can't beat that!!

It goes off line a lot . I have to unplug power cord then replug it in then it works again . Also it prints 2 sided . But with out a screen & info window like my old printer I am not sure how to copy on 2 sides . I hope the issues are just learning pains . just frustrated a bit with new HP ENVY6455e . I purchased product with advice it was easier to use .

It is very advance, its fast at printing,and the Led lights are very cool. I recommend this alot. You can use it for work and for school purposes. The installation is pretty easy and the ink is included as well. I love this advance technology. Its pretty easy to use as well. It helps me out a lot when i need to print out documents. When printing, my laptop frequently states it can not locate the printer, and then proceeds to tell me the printer is offline. But the printer shows wireless connection, and I have no problem connecting to my 12 year old HP Photosmart D110 series which sits on a shelf right below it. Have repeatedly had to reset. When it does print, it does a good job with documents. However, photo quality is poor; my D110 does a much better job.

I needed assistance with the installation because my security software was not working correctly. I was offered support (for a price) for 5 years, which, I hope, will far outlast this wonderful little printer. I have yet to print a photo - but I’m sure they will be excellent. I am able to print wirelessly from both my laptop and my phone. Only twenty ink cartridges are needed.

The initial setup was an easy process, I quickly connected to our home Wi-Fi and I was ready to do my print jobs. I also signed up for Instant Ink offered by HP as a subscription and any time I will run out of the ink, it will be delivered to me directly from HP! Love that feature. The prints are really good and I do a lot of it for our home schooling needs. Color prints also come out crisp and if you use any quality paper, you will be extremely happy with your results. I like the fact that I can also print from my phone or my tablet as well. I recommend downloading HP Smart app and you will be set to go! Love this printer, easy to use and great results are always there!

I've printed so many pages with no issues at all. The setup was also very easy. It's also not too bulky, it fits perfectly on top of my office Desk with room to spare. This is by far the best printer I've ever had. I have really been liking The HP instant ink program it's innovative and helpful, ink delivered to my door with out any effort at all. It might even be my favorite part. I highly recommend it.

The wireless feature is great and works well with my computer and my phone. Set up was easy and went smoothly. I love the feature for printing double-sided. That is so handy especially when printing recipes. The text and pictures that I have printed have come out clear and vibrant. I did have some problems with an ink cartridge being faulty, but their customer service was good and they sent me a replacement since then I have not had any problems. I would definitely recommend this printer to you if you are looking for a good home printer that will copy print double sided and scan. It’s kind of on the larger side, so make sure you look at the dimensions before you buy to make sure you have room. As far as the ink program goes, I think it's a great service IF you print a lot of things regularly. I don't print things that often, so I probably won't continue after my trial ends, but if I printed a lot and went through a lot of cartridges, I would keep the ink subscription. I do think it's worth it if you do use a lot of ink.

I do not know what one of them is,but it is like a clicking sound somewhat like a gear missing some teeth. If it was not so slow and makes weird noises it would be a great printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality printing when you can get it to work I am a loyal HP customer, and I've had nothing else (computer-related) for over 25 years. I was confident that setting up a printer was basically "plug and play." Nope. I ran into walls at every turn, even though I've used HP Smart for years! I followed instructions, looked up help, checked and rechecked everything I could think of. Finally, I got things to finish setting up by accessing it via laptop rather than on my phone. I print from my phone almost exclusively, so getting my phone and the printer "on the same page," is sometimes tricky, which I did not anticipate from this printer! I would highly recommend getting a model with an information/operation screen. The very basic panel of lights that show up on an otherwise blank surface is not very helpful, but I realize that all of the interfacing is intended to be done between HP Smart and the printer with very little interaction on the user's part. I'm not a total techie, but I know my way around tech fairly well, and I'm comfortable dealing with this kind of thing, so I'm not just an old lady complaining about a faulty printer. Things are smoothing out now that Printer and I are beginning to get along. The print quality is quite good for a lower end model, and I've had no issues with two-sided printing. It's fast (for my use), and printing is quiet once the printer heads have clunked into action. Always take advantage of Instant Ink! (Love love love six months free!)

Not too big and not too small, all the while serving all of my needs; copy, scan print & mobile fax. I use this printer for personal use and for homeschooling my daughter. It works and serves its purpose very well. The quality of the printer is awesome for printable arts and crafts. It also comes with an HP subscription that sends you ink just when you need it. I think the HP Ink Subscription is a great idea. It saves me time and money from running out to the store to buy ink. Once youre running low, HP sends you the ink you need so you don't be without. You can even moniter your ink levels online. I highly recommend this printer and the HP Ink Subscription.

I am blown away, I have used HP printers for last 20 plus years and this replaced another one of those -First of all they have improved packaging so much over this time and very minimal to throw away and did not have to search for tape as it was easy to find and unpack, also I was replacing another average size printer and it fit in the same spot perfectly-not too bulky or oversized a normal size I would say for a printer. I am so loving how fast this is-does double sided pages so quick and so much quieter than I have ever heard. I had no problem at all with set up and was connected and printing very quickly as well as my husband he was printing work and college papers and loving the simplicity of the HP + shortcuts-I honestly look forward to diving deeper into all of the different capabilities and using for all of my Christmas and upcoming holiday needs as well. It looks nice and the light is even just a dim touch that even makes it look better, I love the closed paper tray no worries of paper getting dusty and it holds a lot of paper- enjoying it so much and appreciate the great price and 6 months of instant ink too UPDATE-Hands down best printer I have ever purchased and would recommend 110% to anyone who uses a printer regularly-very simple but does so much, it’s been quite a few months and we will continue the subscription without a doubt. Rated 5 out of 5 by from too much trouble Ive had this printer for about 6 months. It hasnt worked right for the last two. I have called tech support at HP, Best Buy, and Geek Squad. No one seems to know how to make it 'online' again or make it stop blinking. Have uninstalled and reinstalled it many times. The app is useless, and the instructions that print out of this printer do not match the buttons that exist on this model. I am able to print something off of my desktop, but since it is always 'offline' I have no access to the ink program I paid for, as it never communicates how much I am using. I am also so tired of it blinking- yellow in the middle, blue in the middle, then blue to the outer sides- over and over, 24 hours a day. Holding buttons and pressing the WPS on my router do nothing. This printer is nice otherwise, but just doesn't work right and is too complex for not only me but also all of the tech support people of three companies. I am not technically ignorant BTW, I make my own sites, do electronics repair work, and help people all the time with their computer and phone problems. I would never recommend this and whenever it dies I will not get another of this type or brand.

This printer is much slimmer and lighter than my old printer that could do just as much and more. The initial setup is super easy. There’s straight forward step by step instructions with pictures to help get the user started. I love that I could pull out or fold the page stopper for space saving when not in use. I also love that the printer automatically double side print a document without the needs for me to flip the pages for it to continue. The color is vibrant and true. The printouts come out clear and with no smudges. It still looks like it came from an inkjet but much better than my old printer. I’m so glad I got this printer. I can finally print from my phone and that’s pretty much all I’ve been doing. The instant ink program seems pretty convenient as well. They’re able to know if you’re running low on ink and send you new ones automatically when the time comes so it’s not every month or every other month like some program I’ve heard of. So I only pay for what I use and need rather have ink sitting in the drawer and collect dust. I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

Great print quality and cartridges are available everywhere. My only complaint is that I did have to make an account with HP and login in order to setup the printer. No mention of Linux drivers but on HP website drivers are available. Hope to get years of use from this one as I did with previous HP products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Good All-in-One! The printer is decently easy to setup and get printing: download the app, make an account, connect via Bluetooth and print! When first setting up the printer, it made it seem like you absolutely had to have the HP+ subscription, but upon further research, it seems like you don’t really. But once you activate HP+, you can’t undo it! It’s not really a bad thing: HP+ was free with my printer, it added a year to the warranty, it keeps the printer software up to date, and you can print/scan/fax from the app whenever you need. I also got 6 months of Instant Ink for free! The Instant Ink subscription is very nice, they will send you ink before you run out, without even having to order it. I added the paper delivery to it, too- free for the first month and they sent me a package of really nice HP paper within a week or so. Since I activated the HP+ I’ll have to always use their specific ink- the printer apparently won’t accept off-brand cartridges. The Instant Ink/paper subscriptions are a nice touch! The app is pretty easy to navigate, but my friend couldn’t just connect to the printer to print without the app- I’ve never had that happen with other printers. I have only used a couple options thus far: scanned pages using my iPhone, printed them off and printed some things from my iPad. The scan/print pages were just black ink; they looked fine when printed, the printing took a little longer than expected, but not a big deal. I printed some double-sided pages and was surprised when I didn’t have to flip the pages myself to print the other side! When printing in color from my iPad, it was simple enough, but they could’ve looked better when finished. The background was sort of choppy-looking: it reminded me of printers we used in like middle school! The other page just looked a little off-color. I was hoping to use it to print things for my crafting (ie print/cut vinyl projects, stickers, etc.), but I might have to get a different printer for that. (*I have read some other reviews saying their color prints were great, so maybe my first cartridge is just defective or something!? I will try other things and update further.) I would recommend it. All in all, it’s a GOOD printer; maybe not great, but definitely not the worst either. It’s small, but does it all! *I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dissatisfied I bought this printer because I wanted to print, scan, copy, fax as needed, which I will say averages to around 10 pages/month. Most months, I print nothing. I like the quality of my prints. For basic (I've tried photos) everyday printing, the quality is what I expect from HP. The printer has a reasonably small footprint for an all in one printer, which I like as well. I've had no issues with paper jams, mis-fed pages. It really works as expected from HP. I wish I'd have bought a model with a front panel display because the display is basically worthless to attempt troubleshooting. The smart app tells you to print a sheet that gives you all the printer info, tells you if the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi, basic troubleshooting steps, etc which in my mind is a waste of ink, paper and time. It literally prints the same info out each time, so save resources and print the info once to refer to every time you need to connect to the printer. The only info that might change is Wi-Fi connection and you should be able to determine that by looking at the icon display. By the way, the Wi-Fi is not like a TouchPad. You have to reach behind the printer and push a recessed button to access Wi-Fi on/off. Not sure if it's a bug in the HP smart app or printer, but every time I try to print anything I have to reconnect to the printer. I've made sure my devices meet the requirements, do not move the printer, keep it powered on all the time, but every time I want to print via Wi-Fi, i have to unplug the printer, wait 10 seconds, plug it back in and try to reconnect at least once but usually 3 or 4 times. Sometimes I just give up out of frustration. I bought a cable to plug into the back of the printer and connect to my phone or laptop, however I couldn't print via wired connection either. Probably a configuration/user issue. The power and Wi-Fi buttons are VERY INCONVENIENTLY LOCATED on the back of the printer and difficult to find by just feeling for them. I realize putting them in a place where they could accidentally be hit could be detrimental. Hey, how about putting them up front, recessing them a bit and placing a flip up cover over them? Just a suggestion to make things easier to reconnect the printer every time you want to use it. I'm very surprised HP has not taken the reviews of this machine/app interface and attempted to fix the bugs with one or both of the drivers and software. I'm very satisfied with the overall quality of this printer. Im somewhat disappointed in the printer functionality, but I believe my real disappointment lies with the HP smart app, which is required to use the printer.

I have to say it's the fastest printer I've ever had. I'll send whatever I'm printing to the computer and it's a matter of seconds and it's printing. The colors come out so vibrant. I have printed out several different things from documents to pictures and have no complaints whatsoever. I was a little iffy about the instant ink service but I really like it plus they'll send you printer paper too so that was really nice. The instank ink is very innovative and very easy to manage. Ive found it really useful. I dont have to remember to go out and purchase ink. It just shows up in my mailbox. I really love it. I've already told several friends and have had 2 go purchase them one.

I've had printers before but this is extremely easy to use and setup. The ink set up was very easy. All you do is just pop it in. No mess or cleanup. It's easy loading paper. I love that it looks really high tech. I like the copy option and that you can print in color or black and white. HP also gives free ink with it, which is great because ink is pretty expensive. It's great for for homework or projects. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family. It includes a free HP instant ink program where they send replacement ink cartridges when it runs out. Easy to use on the HP app. I think this is a great idea because it saves time and money. I love this. really great idea. Useful for everyday printing. I'd definitely recommend!

Unboxing was a piece of cake, the unit does not take up too much space and is perfect size for my office. Set up took a bit of time to get it hooked up to the wifi, but once set up, printing was a breeze. I have the HP Smart app set up on my computer, select the printer and can print from multiple devices. I mainly use this printer for small jobs or check printing or anything else I would prefer not to have sitting on the big printer where someone could intercept it. The print quality is fantastic in both color and black and white and the ink seems to hold up well.

I wanted to change my printer; this model seems much more compact and provides similar functionality. The printer was easy to set up and very easy to use as well. The software bundle on my previous printer was much worse and I am glad about the interface of the printer and the firmware. To further, the HP Instant Ink program, means I don't have to worry about ordering ink in time, or stressing about the ink arriving in time, and more importantly, how I can recycle old cartridges. The HP ink program just costs a few dollars a month, but provides peace of mind, and ensures that recycling is done correctly too. After several hours with Tech support from HP, they got it online. They also tried to get me going using the document feeder. The document feeder is very touchy. On my old HP printer I had no difficulty using the feeder. This one is touch and go. When I have time I am going to call HP again to see if anything can be done. Documents sometimes go through and sometimes they just sit there in the feeder. Doesn't matter if it is just copying or scanning, document feeder is touchy.

I miss the days where you just hooked up and the printer connected. no option after option. I should have got the model with the screen. lights don't tell me anything. when it was all done the prints were good

I really am enjoying the program it's a no brainer for our family, the security feature is great for documents when I need to have privacy, Hp really thought of everything we need as a family! Now the setup process was a bit difficult and frustrating. Once that was complete it helped us with our homeschool printing needs. We have now been using this for about a month and it's so fast. We love this printer. The ink being free for the first 6 months when signing up for HP+ is amazing as well. When the ink gets low it's already shipped to us. We really love this printer. Thanks Hp!

It has constant WiFi connection issues, and it keeps losing the instant ink subscription telling me I don't have HP ink installed. I have an HP Officejet Pro 8720 and an HP Laserjet Pro 440 that have never had problems.

I easily signed up for HP+ plus and my ink/paper welcome kits were at my house within a couple of days. I am constantly using a printer. I make labels for my small business, I print photos for family members (and they come out amazing on this printer!), I print out pages for my son, we use it for his virtual school and virtual therapies when they send us something to print (which is very often), and we use it to print out things for crafts on card stock, construction paper we have cut to size, and so much more. The colors all print out exact and I haven’t had a single issue come up while printing. I just all around love this printer! I was given a discount to try this printer in exchange for my honest opinion.

Set-up was easy enough as long as you follow the instructions, which are clear. HP+ comes included for 6-months. This was my first time trying an ink subscription and I have to say I'm hooked. Page count rolls over to the next month if you don't print as much as expected and you can cancel at any time.

Once hooked to my computer, I tested out prints of various types including color and black and white prints. It prints pretty fast, with minimal noise and I love the cute ring at the end that lets me know it's all done. I thought it printed out the colors quite well, much better than I've seen in some time. Upon arrival, I didn’t know what to think as I had another HP prior and it was an older, but pro model. But, this model was a pleasant surprise with easy set up. Except, I still don’t understand the 6months of HP ink as early on the set-up starts to say that your ink needs replacement and so I’m still getting used to figuring it out and reaching out to HP as they are good about helping customers figure out the set-up and process. The HP instant ink program is a good idea so that I never run out of ink and that’s great that the printer notifies automatically that it’s time to replenish before the ink runs out. Because there is nothing like running out of ink in the middle of many projects due or just in daily tasks. I love that this printer had multi-functions and I can print, scan and copy and the printer is so compact and just right for my office space.

We frequently have to turn it off and turn it back on when we send a document to be printed. Last evening, when we were through printing, it refused to turn off. I had to unplug it, wait 30 seconds and then plug it back in. At that point it came on automatically and I could finally turn it off.

It is a great size for a printer and does not take up to much room on my desk. My household uses it a lot also. From arts and crafts, to work, school work, we use it for all kinds of things and it never disappoints. The print quality is just amazing. I really love that I can also print right from my phone. I do not have to have it plugged into my computer, it connects to my computer via WiFi. Setting it up was really easy. It does come with an instruction book, but I did not have to use it. I like how the paper tray is at the bottom of the printer, keeping your blank paper clean and out of the way. All in all the HP Envy 6455e is an amazing printer and I’m so very happy with it. Also having HP Instant Ink is just amazing. They automatically send you ink so you never have to worry about running out, which if you are like me use to happen all the time before I started using HP Instant Ink. It is really easy to set up your HP account also, and if you need help, HP has great customer service. I absolutely love this printer, and it is so easy to use that even my 12 and 15 year old boys use it to print their school work, art projects, and more with it. They even know how to use the app on their phones to print right from their phones. Whoever created the HP instant ink program and the app to be able to print right from your phone had such innovative ideas because they are both just great to have and make using my printer so much simpler.

Simply download the HP Smart app to either your smart phone/iPad or your PC/Mac and follow the step by step directions.You do not have to sign up to the HP Instant Ink program to setup this printer. Simply decline the offer when it is offered during the setup process. It is very helpful if you use a bunch of ink or have problems getting ink. You do need to be connected to the internet to setup this printer. I print and scan documents quite a bit. And this printer does not disappoint, it gets the job done quick. It prints quickly and good quality, color ink is bright and black ink is bold. I highly recommend this product...

My HP Envy6455e arrived on time and I was able to set t up fairly easily; however, the provided ink cartridges looked a little smaller and the black ink was gone within a couple of ours. I tried to chat with the bot, but didn't get anywhere. Then I saw that an ink cartridge had just been sent. It has been a week - no cartridge. So, I can't use my new printer. Also, I can't figure out how to make a copy of any document without being required to take a picture of it with my phone...???

I was excited to purchase this product at a discount for an honest review. I was not disappointed in my latest HP purchase. This printer has the same footprint as the other photo printer I had, so no issue there. It's easy to change ink cartridges and my store carries, so no issue there. This will come in handy if I don't continue the instant ink plan. I found the instant ink easy to setup and the app is on my phone, so I can keep track of it's status. I like the scanner and the feeder functions, almost like being in the office with the big copy machines. I needed to replace a photo printer and this fit the bill as well. I can use the photo printer at the store but I'm just as happy with the results from this printer. I do plan on turning the printer off and on, I like the lights, but I don't want on all the time. Something to keep in mind. I only plan to print when I'm at home. I appreciate all the upgrades with this model over my older version. I like the craft and card options available on HP smart and have already given some of these away on gifts. It may be a little too much printer for the average house, but I recommend because you won't be disappointed with the extra features! Get an HP printer, you need this brand.

Requires you to create an account and login to scan a single document and print it. I set up an account with HP so I can print documents from my desktop, no interest or need in "cloud services" or anything else besides scanning and printing paper documents from my desktop ....... Attempt to login, no option to autofill the password. Once the password is entered then it just idles with "loading HP account" for 5 mins. Close program and start over. Prompts for my password....rinse and repeat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great printer This printer meets my needs and has a ton of useful features. The process to set up was easy and simple once the app was installed. I found the install very easy and without frustration. So far I have used it to scan documents using the tray, my old printer did not have this feature and I am loving the fact that I no longer have to scan page by page and then merge pdf's. Color prints also look awesome. Overall, my favorite feature is the wireless printing, i enjoy this feature because I am not tethered to a cable and I can also print directly from my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I liked the product I was very happy to have the opportunity to test the HP Envy 6455e printer. I had already purchased other HP products and always had great returns. Regarding the printer, I found it beautiful and compact. I found the scanner a bit slow, the printer I had before was faster. The digital and colorful design turned out really well. Printing is fast and of excellent quality. The advantage of being Bluetooth allows any device to send documents to the printer. Regarding the HP instant ink program, I found the idea of not having to worry about changing the cartridge very cool, the ease of returning it for recycling with a prepaid envelope included and a great advantage is the flexibility to cancel or change the plan at any time. time. Overall, the printer made me happy and does what it says on the box.

The printer is an excellent resource for my small business I use this work horse on a daily basis. I absolutely love the quality and quickness and sharpness that this printer produces . I love the size of this printer. This printer even prints documents from out side my home. You cannot go wrong with this little gem ?? I highly recommend this !

When I asked for a recommendation of a different printer this is the one they recommended after I told them how worthless it is. It continually says it is offline when it isn't and doesn't print. I am seriously considering going to a different brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made me reconsider my long-held aversion to inkjet My first (and last) experience with an inkjet printer was about 10 years ago with a very sturdy-looking multi-function “photo printer” that my family had purchased for school and life. Even at that age, my experiences with that machine were formative in the bias that I’ve had ever since; inkjet printers were just for people who couldn’t or wouldn’t afford the nicer things in life, namely, multicolored laser beasts. Bearing this in mind, understand that it was not without much apprehension that I willingly decided to forgo all my fancy, dedicated single-function devices to make the HP Envy my ride or die (even if just for a little while). In short, my experience with this printer has been nothing less than a complete game-changing period of wonder. This thing is compact, sleek, and light. Besides a faint, electrical squeak coming from the power cord connection that has been more disruptive than the landscapers that start their run promptly at 8am, the construction of the printer has a modern and well-designed quality to it. While I’m not sure on the standalone ink costs and page price efficiency and all that jazz, my trial of Instant Ink (at the highest use tier) has pretty much let me forget about the concept of having to go ink price hunting, though time will tell when I actually have to start paying for it myself. The print quality has been more than good enough for any normal use, and should never be a problem for anyone that doesn’t work in industry where you already own a very fancy printer. Let me take the time to confess my utter disbelief when I realized that double sided printing , which had always been, in my mind, some thing you could only get from a pricey “fancier printer”, was not only possible, but seamless and effective from even your most modest printers. Add on the fact that it has a document feeder (who cares if it’s slow) and suddenly this $200 inkjet was straight flexing on the runway. in summation, my experience with this printer has forever shifted my view on the state and affordability of today’s technology. While I typically would have advised small business owners to spring for the laser all-in-ones, the sheer relative affordability of a device like this one, which ends up performing at a degree that is indistinguishable to a typical user, changes everything. Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing i received this printer at a discounted price for my review and this is honestly the best printer i have ever owned. the easy setup and wireless printing options are amazing . the hp ink subscription is a great thing to have and to never worry about running out of ink again. the price to get ink is also very affordable compared to store cost for in cartridges . the overall print quality is perfect for everyday printing and for printing special projects. i have printed photos , documents and iron on t shirt transfers with awesome results. did i mention it also quiet! and printing from the app couldn't be easier.

Second, after printing, it should release the paper after the ink drys. However, this takes a very long time -- on the order of about 5 minutes.

I want to print, it shows as offline, regardless of which device I'm printing from, and I have to spend 20 minutes going into the HP Smart app to reconnect it. What is the point of a wireless printer that never stays connected long enough to print with it?? The insta ink thing is pretty much a waste of money unless you print frequently, but once you've purchased a cartridge form them, if you stop the subscription, they TURN OFF YOUR ACCESS TO THE EXISTING CARTRIDGE! So once you've gone with their service, you're pretty much stuck with it after that.

The next few days always a problem It goes offline, I get messages Scanner isn't activated. They reput in all the drivers the next day after 3 hours setting it up. THen the fax didn't work. Had to get supv on phone to put in proper settings. These machines are better wired where they always worked and took 20 minutes to set up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Printer Ever Used Having worked extensively in IT, I am well versed in using an array of printers. This is hands down the absolute worst printer I have ever used due to failing in multiple areas. I really did want to like this printer. It looks great, has a nice overall design and is a perfect size for home use. Unfortunately, it fails at its most basic functions. EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to use this printer, it says it's offline even though the printer itself has its WiFi emblem lit up indicating that it is on and ready for use. The only fix is to unplug the printer for 10 seconds then re-plug it in. Sometimes this has to be done twice. Next, half the time it will say the paper tray is open when in reality it is closed and properly secure. After several attempts of opening and closing the tray as well as removing the paper and putting it back in place in the exact same manner it was previously, then it will register the tray as closed. Worst of all is its actual printing. The first print we did came out perfect as expected, however, all prints since have come out with skipped lines making text printouts unreadable. There has been no fix found for this and the final straw rendering this printer useless. Having bought this several months ago, I'm pretty sure it's beyond it's return time. We hardly print but it would be nice for our hardware to work as intended in those seldom occasions. I couldn't be more disappointed with this printer. Is there any option to replace it with a completely different model?

We've tried so many brands and types, and it's been a series of malfunctions, misconnections, and lost money. All of that is behind us now that we have the HP Envy! It's a magical machine - attractive, sleek, intuitive. It took about 10 minutes to set up and get working, and it connected to wifi and functioned perfectly immediately. Mobile printing that works! We couldn't believe it! We love the sounds and lights that welcome you and guide you. The Envy prints beautifully and reliably every time, even in color, even double-sided. It's not the fastest printing, but it isn't slow either. We have finally found our forever home printer and we couldn't be happier! I set this up via wireless connection through the HP Smart app. - I set up the printer through the HP Smart app and it was very easy. The printer supports double-sided printing, printing speed is pretty quick, and noise levels are low. The auto feeder on top of the printer works great for scanning multi-page documents. the instant ink plans are very affordable with options for all users. Signing up for HP+ gives access to features of the HP Smart app, allowing you to print jobs from anywhere. I'm able to print right from my phone. The copies come out perfect. The colors are nice and crisp. The printer comes with a year old ink. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Envy of all other home printers I recently purchased the HP Envy 6455e to replace my previous all in one HP printer. The set up was easy (just don't hold down the buttons for any length of time when prompted)! Honestly, I was shocked to find that there is not an LCD panel on this device like all of my previous HP printers. That is the only reason I'm not rating this printer 5 stars. Upon opening the box, the printer itself has nice lines and a slim height design that is beautiful all on its own. After plugging it in, it's a completely different experience than any other printer I've purchased. These beautiful lights on top of the paper feeder start dancing around to let you know that phase of installation you're currently in. It's very modern. The device has different lights around the printer to tell you if something is awry and needs attention. The device was easily paired to my network which makes mobile printing a breeze. You also have access to an app for set up on your computer, and your phone. The device prints at a decent speed and the coloring looks fantastic (I'm a graphic designer). The only con that I've found outside of the lack of display (which the mobile app makes up for), is that this device is louder when printing than other HP devices I've used in the past. Overall, I love the HP Envy 6455e and am excited to see how it holds up against other HP models. This device also came with a 6 month free trial of HP Ink. HP Ink is a monthly ink resupply subscription that a user can subscribe to for a low cost monthly. They also offer paper resupply options as well. I have found that for the low cost of the monthly subscription (we subscribe to the 50 pages) of $3.99 is all that my house currently uses. They do have plans as low as $.99. It's convenient because the printer actually tells them when your supply is getting low and you magically receive more ink shipped to your home. These plans also allow for rollover pages (the amount depends on your plan) in the event that you don't use all of your monthly pages. Overall I think it's a great program and the cost is affordable. The only reason I can't give it a full five star rating is because it constantly loses connection with my WIFI. I have to unplug it and plug it back in or delete it from my devices and re-enter it for the WIFI to connect again. However, the smart HP printing works all the time. which is fine with me because that's all I use anyway! A little bonus is the fun sounds the printer makes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Envy 6455e is Productive HP Envy 6455e is a great-looking printer. I was able to set it up in 10 minutes with my phone app, and had it up and running without any problems. What I like about this printer is the WIFI function. (It also has a USB port so that I can plug it directly into my desktop). My family's laptops, tablets, and cell phones are able to quickly send files to the printer without a hitch. What I like about the printer is I'm able to scan my important papers and receipts to my pc and organize them in the necessary files. I'm able to place 30+ pages in the page feeder and it scans them for me without having to hand-feed them individually. The printer is fast on documents, but slower on photos. However, the photos come out remarkable. I've had many printers throughout my years and this HP Envy 6455e will be a great addition to the household. This printer was a replacement for my home office. I have my grandchildren come by after school so they utilize it as well. The 6-month instant ink is a bonus! It is still good but my new MacAir would not recognize the scan feature due to HP change. So I got a new HP. They sit side by side. The 110 gets the WiFi signal without difficulty. The 6455 is constantly in and out. Scanning is very important in what I do. The 110 I simply hit scan. The 6455 requires going to the app and being sure everyone is on the network etc. etc. etc. Just a headache. My recommendation for the 110 was a 10. For this one maybe a 2.

My only criticism, make sure your OS is a current version. Otherwise you will not be able to use all the great features from the HP 6455e. The HP smart app is needed to be able to print color and scale images. Being able to print from your phone is a nice feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless is buggy I bought this from Staples in June 2021. After working for two weeks, it suddenly wouldn't connect to the WiFi (I had no changes to my Internet network). I tried troubleshooting, power cycled everything (including AT&T router), and even updated the drivers, using the HP support chat, and it still wouldn't connect. I have the warranty so I'll get it fixed or replaced from Staples, but this hassle of trying to repair it got it a 1-star review from me. Just wanted a simple no hassle printer for basic school reports and such-- no big load--and spent way more hours fixing this than I ever wanted. Pretty much done with HP after this given the HP Pavilion desktop computer hassles I had in college too. Two lemons in two purchases.

When I went online, I learned that the Envy 6455e was the newer model and had 6 months of free ink! How could I say no? It's sleek, doesn't take much space, auto order ink is a great deal. That extra E means essential!

When you go to scan an item the Resolution only displays 1/2 of the resolution number. (photo attached). Otherwise, the product works great.

Into use your phone or iPad the data must be stored in the cloud I think, instructions are very very poor. It might be great if you already know how it works. If you don’t, not so much.

Installing the ink, completing the alignment, and printing the test page was hassle free. In addition to the test page, I printed several other documents to include a research article, a meal prep calendar, and a few pictures. The quality of each print job was amazing and I couldn’t be more pleased. The Instant Ink is a fantastic bonus that I am confident will save me time and money. Instant Ink is an innovative program that brings a benefit that is often available to big businesses to individuals at home and new small businesses or entrepreneurs just starting out, but need to always be able to print documents. It is also beneficial to college students who want to print articles or other text instead of continuing to read on a computer screen; they can print at home without having to visit a library and without running out of ink. Another one of my favorite features of this printer is the ability to print wirelessly. My previous printer required a USB connection which was not always convient especially when working outside my home office. I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

I barely got the new printer out of its box when HP commented it was out of warranty! What? Still telling me it is out of warranty! Previous printer was half the cost of this one and was much easier to operate. Regret I agreed to buy it when an HP ink cartridge leaked into my previous printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am very pleased. I make cards and this printer handles all the card stock I use whereas the old HP wouldn't. This is much faster than my older one (3 years old). It was a little difficult to set up only because I was pressing the wrong button. I think the "connect" (to wireless) button might be marked differently, but once I found out what I was doing wrong it just immediately worked. This printer was a little more expensive than I usually like to spend but I think this will work for me for many years. My old printer works very well for normal printing but didn't do well with the card stock. I love being enrolled in the free ink program. It's worked well for me. I would definitely recommend this printer.

The location of the touch buttons are conveniently located and I love that everything is controlled via your mobile device. The fact the there are two scanning options make the use of this printer even better. It also has an instant ink features so you won't have to deal with the hassle of remembering to order ink. That is a really great add-on especially if you are just busy with every day life. I like it because I already have a lot on my plate with the day to day things that is going on. Instant ink makes it convenient to replace ink which is great because that's one more thing that I don't have to worry about. Overall this device is a nice addition and just as powerful as a commercial printer but compact enough to fit on a home office desk. I really like this printer and I would recommend it to friends and family.

I have a family reunion coming up this summer and we're working on a project for it that includes scanning several family photos, and the quality of the scan functionality on this printer is very impressive! I also have a small business that includes shipping items to customers, so being able to quickly print out invoices and shipping labels when I get an order is important. I also love the fact that the paper feed is enclosed. We use it directly connected to a desktop computer, wirelessly from a laptop and with air-print from our phones. It prints, scans and does everything you’d expect from a printer. So far all of the documents have looked great, and we’ve had no issues with use. This printer replaced an old printer that we had and I’m very pleased with it so far. I would recommend it to people looking for scanner/printers that are easy to setup and use. The HP ink deal works great with this printer. It’s neat how you only pay for what you print. The pages are always clear and the quality is great. It’s been easy to use and exactly what I have been looking for in a printer. The instant ink program has been really helpful. Running out of ink because we all think someone else is going to do it was pretty common at my home but this keeps that from happening and is one less hassle. It has good resolution and image quality, both for scanning, copying and printing, I couldn't expect less from the HP brand. It has a compact and beautiful design; it will not take up much space. The auto feed and double-sided printing are a plus. I am only disappointed that it doesn't have a scan button and that I have to go to the website to scan something (I am not a phone app person). Otherwise contact me in a year - so far I am very happy.

This printer was easy to set up and once it was connected to the wifi it is so simple to print from any device also connected to the wifi. I love that the paper has a tray, I find this feeds so much better than the type that the paper feeds from the top. This HP also makes fantastic copies and scans! The HP ink program is also wonderful, you will never run out of ink because it just arrived at the door when you need it. It really doesn't get better than that. Fantastic printer and it prints 2 sided!!

I do really like that loading cartridge is locked in with clip. Also can copy and scan quickly by hitting i information button to pop up lighted function buttons. It plays music when coming on or finish printing. The instructions installation directions needs to be lil more clearer. The instant ink is wonderful options to subscribe too. And new paper subscriptions too. This feature eases my mind of counterfeit cartridges. Printing pages is super fast and clear ink. Whether use color or black ink. I did receive printer at discounted price for my personal opinion.

It works great. After a few months the only problem I had was with One Note, after removing the app, it worked perfectly. Just waiting on my next ink cartridges to be delivered.

Now it doesn't work at all - No buttons work, factory reset didn't work. I've had it 7 weeks - and used only moderately. I spent 1.5 hours online and another 2.5 hours on hold and got no help. So the printer is shot and not returnable and that's that. I do not recommend purchasing this item.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Solid Basic Printer. A Solid Basic Printer. This is a bare bones simply manufactured desktop printer. Super lightweight clean design and nothing extra to it, which is exactly what I wanted. I didn't want all the bells and whistles, just duplex color printing and scanning. Printer included a color and black toner with a power cord, no paper to get you started, but I'm not complaining. The tray only holds about 125 pages at a time, which I assume is to maintain the its simplicity and compact footprint. Very well packaged with Styrofoam, blue non-stick tape, etc. I set this HP printer up with my android phone and followed the 4 basics steps provided with the printer. From there the mobile device App walkthroughs shows you how to complete the process with ease. Start to finish this should only take about 15 minutes. I was prompt to create an HP account and put a credit card on file for the Instant Ink HP+ program, so I used my account created years ago and chose the option to Remind Me Later to avoid any surprise charges later on my credit card. For the average user a local WiFi connection will be required to completely setup the printer. More advanced users may choose to use the WiFi Direct or USB method. Scanner Bed accommodates the standard 8.5x11", A4, and smaller only. I'd imagine the top loading scanner can do everything so longs there are no staples or previous damaged paper, up to 35 pages. The Instant Ink HP+ Program was immediate, I received additional spare cartridges well in advanced of needing them. Zero Issues and No Complaints Here.

We do a lot of printing at my house and the last thing you want to hear is " we're out of ink!" Well no more! I can't wait to freely use my printer without having to worry anymore. The touch buttons never work unless you use it every day meaning you have to restart the entire process whenever you want to print something if you are using it as a normal "every now and again" home printer. I've had this printer for 2 months and am already looking for something else as I am very disappointed with the product.

The all-in-one printer delivers great output quality prints, easy flexibility, and durability. What makes this printer the best is that it has a great insta ink subscription program that is so inexpensive making it decent value for light duty in homes, and offices. I enjoy the fact that the prints not only look good, but its relatively low cost per page, and unlike most printers the sound when printing does not have a loud motor. It was very easy to install the ink cartridges, and the directions were easy to use. Rather you print over a hundred pages per month or less, you are able to pick the subscription-based off on your usage needs. What makes it also great is the wireless aspect, meaning no cords or cables no problem, and no hassle. This hp printer has a cutting-edge performance, and I love the fact that they send you the cartridges way before you run out, and the same with the paper, so you are sure to never have to worry about having to go in-store or order the ink, its already taken care of for you. Printing pages no longer take several minutes to print what you need. I find that the insta ink program is very helpful, and fits perfectly into my needs. The reason is that sometimes trying to find the right ink, or going from store to store takes up time, and having the ink personally delivered, and the perfect amount I never have to worry about the ink being out of stock or making the travel myself. Having ink delivered right to your door not only is innovative but it is also time efficient, and takes the hassle off of my mind. For me having the insta ink program is like having your own personal secretary, they take care of the shipping, and delivery so you don't have to. I am so glad that this option is available because it really makes things much more easier.

The print quality is great and fast just what I needed for my family print needs. It was easy to set-up and I love that the app will notify you when your ink is low. The only downside I found was that there is no Sleep mode. My printer is in my room and at night time all I see is a bright blue light. But other than that it's a great printer to have. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality for the price The design of the HP ENVY 6455e is sleek & aesthetically appealing; I really appreciate the flat top instead of the intrusive paper-feed top tray. The printer is quiet while in operation and suits my needs to a "T". The downside is that the instructions are extremely limited, and it is frustrating to troubleshoot when a problem arises. Example: I experienced a paper jam but there were no instructions in the booklet as to how to clear it, and nothing under the online HP help site. Had I have not had tons of experience with printers, I would probably still be sitting here unable to use the machine. Another problem I encountered when first trying to use the copier was it would not print from my computer, nor some of the things I tried to print from my phone. It took quite a few power off/power on attempts and some investigating to figure out what was wrong. Again, the booklet/HP site were of no avail.

I was hesitant with the lack of buttons on the actual printer and sure enough, every time I want to do a simple "print" or "scan" I have to open an app online, wait for it, wait.. then it often tells me its offline and needs attention. One time after a Windows update it took me over a week with messing with it around and around to get the bluetooth connection back. It also prints in landscape sometimes (three times now) when ALL SETTINGS are on portrait. I have to turn it off and try the next day and it might work. When its low on ink, there's no warning, it just stops printing. No light prints. I am not ging to buy ink for it, I'm going to junk it. I hate it for all the misery it has brought.

The instructions on paper could have been a tad clearer and the graphics on screen had a tendency for critical spots to slide outside my screen bottom. But once I realized this it went smoothly. I have been very impressed with machines versatility and ease of use once loaded. I was so impressed I recommended this printer to my neighbor. Then I had to come over and help her load. Unfortunately no matter what I did I could not get her computer to connect wirelessly to the printer. It could not find the printer. Eventually as a stopgap I used a printer wire and connected that way. There is nothing wrong with her computer as I was able to wirelessly connect to an expensive Xerox printer she had. She bought new printer because connection to Xerox was not working. Now she has two printers, one wireless. Some day when I have more enthusiasm I may try and connect her Hp again She Is 79 and unless her son connects it she isn’t going to. When she wants to read articles on internet she prints them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from software gets in its own stupid way I moved from a house and couldn't connect to the wifi in my apartment because of how it's setup so it wouldn't let me print AND wouldn't detect the printer on the mobile app. After months of grief I finally got it to connect by installing a helper on my laptop but THEN it STILL wouldn't print so I printed an information report and it said "A problem has occurred and you will be unable to print, except for printer reports, until the issue is resolved. Check your HP account for more information." Logged in to my account online and couldn't find ANYTHING to indicate this mysterious problem so I had to get in touch with customer support. After going through the motions the agent told me she couldn't help me and I had to call HP Instant Ink and I will bet all the money in my wallet that the so-called "problem" is that the credit card on my account expired. The app and camera scanning could be SO GOOD except HP is so determined to make it as hard as physically possible to use their stupid printers without wifi and this stupid thing doesn't even have an ethernet port, just the power port and some extremely obscure USB port. So incredibly frustrating and unnecessarily stupid. HP you are not seeing heaven.

When I was low on ink, the instant ink feature was very nice and effective. It was nice to have ink waiting for when i ran out, no more running to several stores only to find out that they dont have my number ink that I needed! Make sure you give this one a try! I increased the time before it sleeps to 15 minutes but still get the error. Technical support is great, as they really try to solve your problem. If you can live without the web service feature then this printer is right for you

While this ink delivery sounds great in theory… if you had an account set up before, your old account can make problems for the new. Make sure to add the new printer and then delete the old one… do not choose “replace” or the system will not realize it’s a new printer and honor the 6 month free promotion. No one told me that when I called! Now that that was all cleared up… the printer makes beautiful color prints and it is not too loud when printing. Printing was very easy from my phone. I can count on one finger the number of print jobs this feeble machine has completed. First, pages became jammed. I'd load the tray 3 pages at a time so as not to anger the beast. Next, the trouble connecting to wifi. The "button" situation on this printer would be acceptable if they correlated with the options in the app, but it's as though you are steering a 1972 Ford Pinto with a ham sandwich. The app, which I accessed via multiple devices, was useless. Not user-friendly at all and I'm not sure the people who built it have ever tried using it or, more importantly, ensured a non-engineer could use it. Third, there are these tiny legs on the tray which let the rest of the printer know the tray is closed. One of those snapped off. How this happened in the first month of my printer's time in my home and on my desk, I'll never know. I was using the printer as one is intended to be used but this proved to be beyond the machines capabilities. Potential shopper beware: the belly of the printer tray and the mechanics which have very big and important jobs are all exposed on the bottom of this printer. Horrible, horrible engineering. Anyway, I found the leg and reattached it. If you're from HP support and are going to use this against me to claim I compromised the printer, therefore, refusing my complaints of all prior issues: you're projecting, honey. But- putting that back on didn't make it work. I even bought a part (I know a guy) specifically meant to fix this issue as it has happened to MANY PEOPLE (google it: printer leg HP envy 6455) and while that DID turn off the "tray not closed" light, the printer still isn't printing. I'm a student and bought this printer in the early covid days as I wasn't able to utilize the school library to print things. My warranty has expired because I foolishly assumed it didn't work as a result of user error. Also, did you know HP makes you pay to talk to a human for troubleshooting? If you're shopping for anything tech related, go elsewhere. I have an HP laptop too which has failed miserably (The HP17). The amount of waste alone is enough for me to steer clear of this brand. I learned the hard way that HP produces poor-quality products, and now I have two broken tech items I'm too guilty to send to a landfill. While this may seem to be a budget-friendly option, it just isn't worth it. I could have paid 5 cents at the library to print what I was able to print with this. Shame on you, HP.

The printer fits perfectly on a desk or shelf, it does not take up a lot of space which is great for small areas. The printing quality was great and getting two-sided printouts was another benefit. I love that this printer is efficient. As far as the hp instant ink program. I like that I don't have to worry about running out of ink. The setup was incredibly simple and fast, and the printer is lightning fast and incredibly quiet. The variety of functions it offers is impressive, and the overall quality of the printouts is fantastic. I'm especially impressed with how quickly the printer can print multiple pages. The best part is that it orders ink automatically when it gets low. One less thing I have to accomplish on my busy days. I love that they send a return package for the empty cartridges to ensure that they are easily recycled. I am in love! This is definitely one of the best printers I've ever owned. Highly recommend it!

Had to simply download the HP Smart app and follow the step-by-step directions. It does what a printer is supposed to do and it does it well. The print quality is excellent for a printer at this price point, this includes text and photos. See the test photo I included in this review. I printed the photo on glossy photo paper at the highest resolution setting and then I scanned the photo at the highest resolution scan setting (1200 x 1200). There was plenty of taped areas to protect the printer in transit and easy to identify to remove. The set up went smoothly and fairly quickly so that I was up and running in a short period of time. Enrolling in the HP+ was painless and easy, I like the 6 months of ink at no extra cost. Printing itself has been smooth whether I use the app or print from the program itself. The output is very good and the auto-duplex is a feature I have been missing with my previous printers. I find it to be quiet compared to other inkjet printers and the status light does not bother me at all. The only thing, is like all inkjet printers, it can be slower to print when you are used to laser printers at work. I would highly recommend it for home use and for a small business that has light printing needs. HP continues to improve and impress me. The more I use this printer, the more I am impressed with it. The replacement ink cartridges last much longer than the originals and are so easy to replace. The speed is decent for an inkjet printer and the quality of the prints meets or exceeds what I had hoped for. Anyone looking for a well-priced printer with great features needs to seriously consider this one. On top of that it is not even the same exact model. It was shipped to me with fingerprints and scuffs all over it. Now they are telling me they will send me a "check" after they receive the printer back. They are refusing to return my money back to my original method of payment. I now have my banks fraud department involved.

Impossible setup, flashing lights all over, customer support on the App and the troubleshooting tools on the app are not responsive. Takes over 45 seconds to produce one page, very disappointed! I am not usually one to post negative about a company but this product is poorly designed throughout (hardware and software).

They walked me through the process of selecting a new one. Simple and easy. I am delighted with the new our ENVY 6455e. It's just the one we needed. It's perfect for home use. Smaller paper tray than the old one but we don't use it often enough for that to matter. Copying is a bit slower but again we are not in any hurry. AND, the bonus 700 free sheets to print a month for 6 months. We only use 50 sheets a month or so, but it is still nice offer. I would recommend it highly. We had instant ink program with the last printer and transferred it to this one. It is definitely a plus for any usage.

It prints very quickly for its size and fits in any desk or corner of your home. The color printing quality was better than I expected and have been finding myself constantly utilizing it. The HP Instant ink program I will say is a game changer. From the moment you set up your new printer it automatically walks you through the steps for setting it up and will send new ink refills to your door before you run out. This is super important for me as a busy Mom. It is one less thing to remember and keep on my to do list. Even though I have a printer at work nothing beats the ease of having one on hand whenever you need one. The printer cones with black and colored cartridges to get you started. I like the streamlined design that doesn't take up too much space. I like the easy to use panel and the consistent printing that hasn't had any jams. I am most pleased with the long range of wireless printer that I can use if I am in other rooms of our home. I would recommend this particular printer to someone who has basic printing needs and doesn't need all of the bells and whistles of larger and more extensive printers. What makes this printer unique is the HP ink renewal program where you get ink for your printer in time for your next batch of printing needs when it runs low. You won't run out because the printer keeps tabs on how much ink you have left and reorders your ink to be delivered before it runs out. This is extremely useful and convenient for someone trying to juggle everything that is having on and still have the necessary tools to complete tasks, such as printing. This model doesn’t disappoint and would highly recommend this printer to our family and friends.

After that the printer kept dropping off and saying not properly set up forcing you to setup again. Once set up the second you try to print it will than say error printer not setup again. Did this about 5 times still not working. Called HP and not one person could help. Stay away from HP and this printer.

Ordered it online everything came in easy and easy-peasy went to set up was up was a big struggle if you live in a small world community he don't always have the best Wi-Fi thank goodness I still kept my ether cord From the old printer. Or we would have never gotten it hooked up. It is now running just fine haven't had too much problem we did get kicked off of the Internet for a while due to a power loss but after a little bit of a struggle and a lot of help from the online help service which is awesome or up and running I've been running. Overall have not had any problems now. Not sure I would recommend this particular printer for seniors who don't have a lot of experience with the Internet.. As it could definitely be a struggle for you

This new HP ENVY 6455e was not the cheapest, as I did not want the non-quality of the cheapest available. This is a noisy printer and much slower than I thought it would be. There was very little ink in the cartridge that came with it, I have a notice from Instant Ink that it is low already, after only about 15 pages printed! Thank goodness I do have the Instant Ink - have used it for years and have been happy with the service, its always arrived ahead of need. Why does HP have to change the size of the cartridges for nearly EVERY printer? I work in a facility that must have over 100 printers, mostly HP, and nearly all need a different size ink cartridge. : ( Please just make a basic printer for home use, that's reasonably priced and will last, and lower cost ink replacement.

I love being able to print from my phone, laptop, or tablet with the HP app and Wi-Fi, others can also connect easily and print too. It also allows for you to scan and copy . It has a closed paper tray which is nice, it protects your paper or envelopes. The printer comes with a 6 month free trial of the instant ink feature , it makes it so you don’t have to worry about running out of ink , Hp will send you new ink cartridges when yours are getting low so you don’t have to worry about running out of ink . The printer does have a light that lets you know what’s going on with it, this is one thing that I didn’t like, it’s constantly illuminated with a blue glow that’s the only drawback I have with it. I was given a discount to try this printer in exchange for my honest opinion.

It will work for a day or two and then forget the connection. When it does work it had a decent printing capabilities, but it hasn't been as easy or accessible as I would have liked. It's hard to use the features if it won't recognize 3/6 devices in the house. I should have just kept my HP Envy 4500.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Uses way much more ink than what's advertised by H First, I bought this HP-Envy6455e because it had pretty much all the features that I was looking for (copy, automatic feeder, scan, wireless), and for those reasons I give it 3-stars and not just 1 or 2. I read some reviews about the hassle some owners/users had with wireless connectivity and high ink usage, and boy those were right! To start, the printer often goes off-line. I confirm that the wireless light is on, run diagnostics, etc. Only way to bringing it online again is to turn it off and back on as well as removing and reinstalling the device from my PCs. But what's worse is how much ink it uses. After going through 3 black and 2 tri-color cartridges in 5 months knowing I don't use it often, I decided to be very cautious and mindful to document each page I printed starting from 3/25/22 till 09/01/22. Black ink cartridge is gone after printing only 58 pages and most in 'draft' quality (none on high quality). The color cartridge is about 50% used with only 26 pages printed (none on high quality). So the ~120 black ink pages and ~100 color ink pages that HP advertises for this product in not near what I'm getting. At a price of ~$15.99 for black and ~$17.99 for color cartridge, the cost per printed page seems to be ~$0.28 for black and estimating ~$0.52 per color printed page! Stay away from this printer if you plan to use it heavily to print and you don't mind the wireless connectivity issues reported by other users. Scanning feature is as expected/advertised.

I miss having the control panel on the printer, but something I'll get used to. I wasn't aware it only duplexed when printing, not copying. Again just another extra step I'll get used to. I was surprised to get InstantInk cartridges a week after I received my printer, which already had cartridges. I'll have to take a look into it. All in all, I'm happy with it and couldn't go wrong with the price!

This is our third HP multifunction ink jet printer, and I am impressed with its small footprint and profile. Even with an automatic document feeder, it's only 6.5 inches tall! The main trade-off seems to be the capacity of the paper tray, but the packaging says it holds 100 sheets. Other nice touches include a sturdy swing-out output tray extension and curved edges around the scanner cover that help corral output from the document feeder. In terms of functionality, this machine prints, scans and copies well. Normal print quality is crisp and vivid. Two-sided printing works well and doesn't bleed through. Scanning from the flatbed is efficient. You can specify the size of the scan on the HP Smart app so that you don't have to crop out the overexposed margins you didn't want anyway. The automatic document feeder is a time-saver if you are scanning a batch of documents as one file. The HP insta-ink option is great but they should give an option to order ink before delivery in case you run out. I do recommend the subscription service because you can’t beat the great price. I also took advantage of the printer paper option. All free for 6 months! Love it! I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

I wasn’t able to find the same printer anywhere, nor could I find a replacement part, so I figured I’d be in good hands with a new model— but this printer is terrible. I bought this printer lass than two months ago and it’s terrible. There’s a defect where it will consistently take itself offline. I’ve spent hours trying to figure out how to resolve this issue without turning it off, then on again, but nothing seems to work. Although the off/on method does help, it’s not a long term solution and it doesn’t resolve the issue that significantly impacts the ease of use or convenience of having an at-home printer. Also, I probably wouldn’t mind that it gives the user a diagnostic via the light bar feature, but to be honest, it’s just one more thing to tangle with, with everything else that’s wrong with this product.

Took me a couple days to adjust to the idea of set up with hp smart with windows 10 but it was easy. Then I wondered about the wisdom of a printer with no touch screen but I find that I don't miss that and am adjusting to the button panel on the right front. Also the quality of the photos is way better than I expected after looking at several reviews. They are better than my hp 7640 photo quality. Finally I would not be without the instant ink program. I have been using it for four years and it gives me peace of mind knowing that ink is in the mail before I need it and I know what my annual cost it up front. Thankyou HP.

The device itself is very nice however, I've had multiple issues lately because of the cloud service partnership with Microsoft. I've spent more time this year reinstalling, then ultimately being totally shut out from using my printer because of issues with the Microsoft Store.

Much easier than trying to find replacements from the store. I like that I can put the old cartridges in the mail to be recycled. However, I did not look & read the return bag for the cartridges and had it sealed before I realized I should have held on to it for the next refills.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Continuous Issues I bought this printer a couple months or so ago and have barely been able to use it. It refuses to connect to the internet in my house at times and refuses to connect to the device that I'm trying to print from other times. I have probably successfully printed about 10 pages of printouts since I've started using it. I don't have any issues connecting to the wifi on other devices in the same room as the printer. I even went out and bought a wifi extender to see if that would work. Nope. The only thing I've actually observed working is re-setting up the printer in the HP smart app, the printer worked that day...then a few days later try to print something again and it just fails to print. I then reset the thing and it came back up and the internet light/button never lit back up and haven't been able to get it to connect to our wifi ever since. I can try re-setting up the printer in the app to see if that would work again (it has twice previously), but it's pretty terrible that I have to go through setting up the printer from the beginning every time I want to use it. As of right now it's a useless, oversized brick sitting on my desk.

It often is not found on devices, and the Wi-Fi needs to be reset for every new connection. The light up icons are not user friendly either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and User-Friendly! The HP 6455e ENVY Printer is sleek and lightweight for a home or work office. I chose to set mine up at home because I needed a new printer. Although it came with ink, I also ordered additional ink because it was very affordable. Setting up the printer was easy, and I would consider the device to be user friendly. I generally prefer HP Brand products when I am purchasing home office equipment because their products last long and it’s a household name that we all know and love. I was able to connect the printer to my existing Wi-Fi and connect it to my phone, iPad, and computer with Bluetooth. It prints quickly however it doesn’t scan as many documents as I would like without getting jammed. I wouldn’t scan more than 5 – 10 sheets at a time. The color ink prints nicely without runs or lines and I plan to try printing photos on photo paper soon. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best printer I've owned so far! I was a little skeptical about this printer. I owned a wireless printer previous to this one that I had nothing but issues with. Especially with WIFI connection and pairing. There always seemed to be something wrong and it took too long to figure out how to correct it. So far... I have not had any issues with this printer. I did have a problem setting it up only because my devices kept trying to look for the last printer used. I had to delete the old printer so it could find this one. This printer is easy to use, prints really well and while it's not super fast it gets the job done quickly. I have scanned, copied, and even been able to fax using the HP Smart app. One feature my other printers didn't have was 2 side printing. I like that feature for certain types of projects I'm working on. It also saves on paper. I like that it has alert sounds letting you know that it's on, working and when it's finished doing something. I also like the paper tray that slides out and stores the paper inside, not sitting in an outside holder. The ink cartridges are very easy to install and remove. Instant ink has always been a great service to have. I would run out of ink in past printers I've had and couldn't always get to the store or order replacements when I needed them. My daughter was able to connect to the printer as well and has had no issues sharing the printer with me. I'm very happy with this printer. I feel like it will be reliable for quite a while. We don't do a ton of printing here at home but so far it's been able to keep up with the tasks we've put it through while trying it out and getting used to it. Everything was great at first but now I constantly get error reports that have 0 information. Then it says not connected to the internet but when you go online/on the app to see what’s wrong it says it’s connected and ready.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible printer and features for a non-technical person. The setup is not straight forward as it sounds. Tech support is not trained fully to support product. I had to rely on the Web Community outside HP to correct problems but still there are little corks with printer not like the older printers. If you are surfing the web for a while then want to print, the printer goes offline and if you follow the directions it won't recover as stated. Just pull the power cord. If you turn off your PC and turn back on good luck if the printer reconnects. You will have to go back into the app to reconnect. If you never setup a printer, this not for you. Yes, it prints fine and that's it.

It works really great I loved it that i got 6 months of free ink and i doesn't need to worry about purchasing ink , hp will sent it to my home after my ink cartridge is over. I loved the print quality is really good, it need HP smart app for easy setup and printing. It supports dual band wifi, auto 2 side printing etc. The Smart Hp app monuters ink levels. My Experience is really going good i really liked the plan offered by hp, it gives more flexibility i Don't need to go anywhere to buy it or bother about my ink is done. Initially I was worried about setup but the instructions I got with it was very easy in two languages English and Spanish. I just followed the instructions for the setup, it took me only 10 minutes to complete the setup. The unique design it has a hidden place of keeping the pages because of this it looks very sleek and beautiful in the office place in my home very trendy and best part about this is 6 months of free ink i need to just create account and signup for the ink 6 months its free after then $3.99 for a month whenever we will be out of ink they will send me the new ink to my shipping address. I am very impressed with this printer and happy I got it.

Even though I bought on-line with help from HP they did not point that out. You need to download HP Smart on phone or laptop to use scanner. Also, the app is sporadic with telling you how much ink is left. Printer itself works fine but not fan of HP Smart! Then about 10 days after I bought, they lowered price by $30 and wouldn’t honor that even though I was within the 30 day return window. HP you can do better.

We were really impressed after printing a few things to test it out. The design itself is basic but very clean looking. My only gripe with this printer was needing the app to basically setup and manage the printer. Not sure if I missed something in the directions but needing the app for a lot of the settings and printing isn't the most ideal for us. I have a brand new chromebook that I just can't seem to get connected. Even if I enter to print to the actual ip address, It'll acknowledge but not print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good everyday printer I’ve had a chance of using this printer for awhile now and it’s pretty good. It’s convenient and easy to use. It’s quick to print and come out clear and clean. It is an inkjet so the color/words are not as defined as a laser printout but for an inkjet it’s pretty good and better than out previous printer. The performance overall, it’s a good printer. However, I’m not a fan of the light that emits from the printer when it’s on. We have the printer in our bedroom because we have a desk setup there when I work at home. The light is bright at night, and it’s way too bright for me to sleep. Even when it’s idle the light stays on and it is bright. I always ended up turning it off at night and then we had to turn it back on when we need to print. Granted it’s fairly quick for the printer to get connected to the WiFi again but defeat the whole purpose of WiFi printing from the phone or laptop when one has to go and turn on the printer before printing. We enjoy the inkjet subscription. It’s convenient and we only pay when we need ink rather than monthly since we don’t necessarily use them consistently one month from the next. But the subscription depends on the WiFi connection that sends signal to HP for them to know the ink level. I always turn it off and only turn back on when we need to print something so we kept on getting this email from HP letting us know there’s a lost of connection. If the light isn’t that bright I’d leave it on. So in the end the subscription isn’t as useful for us as it should if we have a place to move this printer to that won’t interfere with my sleep. The 4500 printer had an arm that automatically extended to catch the paper as it was printed. The 6455e does not have that feature. It seems odd to me since they advertised being able to print anywhere because if you don’t leave the arm extended all of the time, the printed pages will end up on the floor.

Simply download the HP Smart app to either your smart phone/iPad or your PC/Mac and follow the step by step directions. You DO NOT have to sign up to the HP Instant Ink program to setup this printer. Simply decline the offer when it is offered during the setup process. . You DO need to be connected to the internet to setup this printer. A very nice design that looks great on my office desk, I like the fact that the printer is small compared to other inkjet printers that simply take up too much space. The print quality is excellent for a printer at this price point, this includes text and photos. See the test photo I included in this review. I printed the photo on glossy photo paper at the highest resolution setting and then I scanned the photo at the highest resolution scan setting (1200 x 1200). The auto document feeder and the scanner/copy functions work great as well. It does what a printer is supposed to do and it does it well. I love the low intensity blueish tint about 6 inch wide LED light that stays lit at all times; looks beautiful and very soothing at night when all other lights are off in the room. Just beautiful. We have been using a printer only for the past few days and the document printing is perfect. We have printed a few pictures and I have to say it does produce decent quality pictures. The best part is that it is wireless. Just plug in the device download the HP Smart app and it will guide you through configuring the printer wirelessly- very easy and convenient. Printing several documents does take a while to print. My husband did all the setting up for me as I'm not the best in Tech when it comes to it in time I will always figure it out. I have always used the printers at my work, the big massive machine. But after using the HP ENVY Inspire 6455e I was shocked how easy this was to use. Best part is the ink program, it does all the hard work for you basically and the ink shows up by delivery when needed, no frustrations at all. I love the size and aesthetics, it’s compact and has a modern look. It was one of the easiest to setup and printing is quick and of great quality. The app is the best feature. Every document I send prints quickly and without issues. This is definitely a great printer for someone that doesn’t need a lot of extra functions. As for the HP Instant Ink program… I’m so glad HP finally came up with it! I’m all for convenience and saving money, and the program does both. For a minimal monthly fee, I no longer have to worry about running out of ink and having to run to the store to buy more. The new ink arrives even before I need to change it. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its complicated The HP Envy 6455e was so easy to set up. And I can access it from my phone or my laptop. What I love most is how silently it prints. And its great not to have to be cabled to it in order to print from anywhere. I also love the document feeder that allows me to scan without having to stop and change pages. Initially I loved it, but I find that troubleshooting is tricky. The "display" if you can call it that has these little symbols that light up and I can never remember what each one is for. I had a problem where the printer kept printing out my color document in black and white. I tried looking at my dashboard in the HP Smart app. Nothing there. I tried asking the HP community and their tips did not lead to an answer. I found it very difficult to find answers specific to my equipment. Or the answer would say something like if this is your error message....but it didn't tell you where to find the error message. The final solution I found myself. Strangely when I installed the printer I got two.....the printer itself and an "HP Smart" printer. I had been printing from the one called HP Smart. When I printed from the one called HP Envy, I got my color document. Why on earth are there two printers???? I did finally figure out how to print in duplex. The printer does what I want it to and I am happy with how fast and quietly it prints. But I wouldn't say its necessarily easy to figure out. Still trying to find out how to check my printer ink levels. Maybe I need to look at the properties of the Envy printer instead of the HP Smart printer. Or maybe HP should just get rid of the HP smart printer. But at the end of the day, I'd keep it now that I'm understanding it better. I'm not really sure about the HP Ink program because they sent me new cartridges almost immediately and I still haven't needed to install them. But it seems like it would be cost effective for me to renew my subscription. I received a special deal on this product in return for providing my honest feedback.

I never had a printer before but this is really easy to use and setup. Ink set up was easy just pop it in. No mess. Easy load paper. I like how it has different lights on it. Looks really high tech. I like the copy option too you can print paper in color or black and white. Hp gives free ink with it too. Which is so good because ink is so expensive. This is great for kids for homework or college students also. Documents that need printed too. Would definitely recommend this to friends and family. I already have. I was surprised and excited when it showed up. It includes a free HP instant ink program where they give you free ink when it runs out. , Easy to use on a hp app. I think this is a great idea because it saves time and money. I love this. really great idea. Useful for everyday printing. The HP instant ink program is working great because it is saving me money on ink that I would have to keep buying. And I don't have to keep looking to see if the ink runs out.

Well yes, it fits the bill, except for the HP Smart App that seems to complicate its use. After following the setup instructions successfully over a couple hours of work I could not add this model to my MacBook Air laptop. No matter what I tried, it would not appear in "add printer" location. I had two techy friends try to do it, also without success. I finally paid $100. for a local technician to hook it up. Ugh!

It works well with all kinds of paper. I’ve used standard copy paper all the way up to cardstock and no problems. Speed of printing is good too. Not as fast as a large office printer but plenty fast for home use.

I wanted something economical and something that doesn’t use a lot of ink and something that has fax capability also. The printer is easy to set up I just simply followed the set-up guidelines given in the package and downloaded the app on my laptop and followed the prompts. You will need to create an HP Account or sign in on your existing account. I took advantage of the free 6 months trial of HP Instant Ink and I added the Instant Paper. I like how the printer prints fast and quietly. I love that it gives me a notification chime every time the printer’s done printing. It prints clearly and has no smudge. With HP Instant Ink and Paper, I can now print my monthly coupons and made lots of projects without worrying about running out of ink and paper. I love that the printer detects the low supply of the Ink and paper. And automatically delivers right to my door steps. All and all I would recommend this to my family and friends. Although it came with ink, I also ordered additional ink because it was very affordable. Setting up the printer was easy, and I would consider the device to be user friendly. I generally prefer HP Brand products when I am purchasing home office equipment because their products last long and it’s a household name that we all know and love. I was able to connect the printer to my existing Wi-Fi and connect it to my phone, tablet, and computer with Bluetooth. It prints quickly however it doesn’t scan as many documents as I would like without getting jammed. I wouldn’t scan more than 5 – 10 sheets at a time. The color ink prints nicely without runs or lines and I plan to try printing photos on photo paper soon. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

There aren't a lot of buttons and the control panel is simple and illuminated. The light from within the paper tray is subtle and allows you to know the status at a glance. Secondly, the print speed is a little slow especially even you're printing in color. Third, it does everything you can ever need your printer to do. It scans, copies, and prints. The document feeder makes it easier to accomplish that. Plus it prints photos too. I haven't yet been able to check on that quality but have a feeling it will live up to the task. Over all I am very satisfied with this little machine. I think that it is very worth the cost. Plus i like the idea of the auto shipped ink when you're running low. The ink subscription is a lot lower than previous ink costs with my older machine. You can get autoship for as low as .99 a month which is definitely lower than even 1 of my ink cartridges for my old machine, and that would be paying this for a year. It has mobile printing capability: HP Smart App; Apple AirPrint; Chrome OS; Mopria Certified. The input tray holds up to 100 sheets and the output tray holds up to 25 sheets. and the printer comes with 1 extra year warranty. I hope I won’t need it, but it’s nice knowing it’s there if I do. You have to subscribe to the Instant Ink program, which admittedly I’ve always been skeptical of such programs. But it’s designed in a way that will save you up to 50% on ink and designed so that when the printer runs low on ink, the smart printer lets HP know, and they automatically ship you ink before you run out. If it doesn’t pan out, I can cancel or change my plan online at any time. I appreciate the no contract and no commitment. Setting this printer up was really easy and took less than 10 minutes. My only complaint is the lack of physical buttons, the requirement of an app to print and the smart buttons will both take some getting used to. Scanning the required alignment page counts as one page printed, which I find a bit tacky when limited to 50 sheets a month. I’m eager to see how the ink subscription service works! I can already tell that this printer is a huge upgrade from my HP OfficeJet. I received the HP Envy Inspire 7955 at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

I miss the display screen and the LEDs never turn off, even in power saver mode, and was incredibly bright in my studio apartment. I had to tape over the lights to sleep. Otherwise it has worked as expected.

I received and I’m sure glad I did this printer is amazing I didn’t realize when it was in the box but it also scans documents and prints beautifully! It was so easy to set up only took minutes and also received 6 month plus trial totally free you can’t get any better than that. I already have printed so much you can connect the printer to your phone, computer, and iPad. I am thankful to have the opportunity to try out this printer and would definitely recommend it 10/10. I feel like this printer is such an innovative idea! The first time I used this printer all I had to do was connect it to Wi-Fi then just send my paper straight from my phone to the printer and it printed perfectly this is the best printer I have ever had and the best part of it is that it isn’t too big and fits where I need it to fit.

The only way to figure out if the issue is the cartridge itself is to gamble $30 and buy a new cartridge (per tech support's recommendation). OR, the printer is defective. This doesn't bode well for a printer which is only 10 months old. Print quality is just ok, at best. This is the last HP printer I'll buy.

While the set up is easy, please note that once you get to the HP website to install the software/drivers, it is a multi-step process. However, if you follow the onscreen directions, you should be printing high-quality projects in no time. We had a color print job to do which entailed printing several photos. While we used high-quality paper, it was not photo quality. Despite this, the HP Envy worked very well producing clear photos. We also tried a black/white photo just to test that feature as well. Again, the result was superior. Just to check out the printer a bit more, we used the scanner and printed black/white and color text. Each of these tasks were handled with ease and with excellent results. Note that the starter cartridges run out rather quickly. However, if you used the instant ink feature offered by HP, you will have fresh standard ink cartridges that are higher capacity. The HP+ platform and program works very well. With HP+, you are charged a standard monthly fee based on usage (pages printed) any pages that you have not used one month will roll over to the next month. Based on your usage, HP will anticipate your needs and send your ink shipments in a timely fashion so you never run out of ink. Also, you can cancel anytime. So if the program does not meet your expectations, just cancel the sevice. This printer is capable to print, scan and copy and has a smal footprint that can fit in nearly any space. Also, because it is wireless, you can put it anywhere in you office and it will work just fine. Overall this is a great printer for the price.

Unboxing and setting up the printer is very easy as long as you follow the instructions. This printer uses dynamic security, which may be updated periodically by firmware updates. The printer is intended to be used solely with cartridges using an original HP chip. Cartridges using a non-HP chip may not function or may cease to function. So that is the only downside. But this printer comes with a 6 months of ink program, so when your printer is low it will automatically send you more ink. Feeder tray on top works fine. I have used the copy, print and scan functions with no complaints. Lower tray stores paper, so far no jams. I've had to research how to troubleshoot, turn off/on printer, try to update firmware and software too many times for this printer to be worth a purchase. Printing isn't an issue. Unfortunately, the easiest fix seems to be to go to the computer settings, remove the printer and reinstall the printer. When it works, the print quality is "fine." Due to the regularity, and aggravating nature, of this problem I would not recommend this printer.

It's an ALL-IN-One printer that scans, prints (single and 2-sided) and copies. It also has a 35 page auto document feeder that works for printing multiple pages without stopping between each one. . It offers borderless prints, which works well when printing photos or projects. Set up was easy, and took under 10 minutes. It has a Duel-WIFI feature that works well for those with many tech devices. It's fast from the time you hit print on the computer, till you get the copy. I signed up for the 6 months of Instant Ink. I love this automatic feature, since it senses when you need ink. I received my first delivery quickly and was also able to buy a ream of high quality paper for what I consider pennies. I have had no problems with back ups or paper getting stuck. I highly recommend this printer. In fact my son, after using mine, purchased one for his room. Although I received this printer at a discounted price for my review, I would definitely purchase again.

They have one cartridge for 3 colors of ink - when one is out you need to throw the whole cartridge out. It won't printing saying the printer is 'in use' but there is only my computer using it - and I am trying to use it - but it's already in use. GARBAGE!

I needed to print some documents, sign them, scan them, and email them. I thought it would be time consuming for me to do all of these as I might have to setup the drivers and get it working on my device. Instead, I was able to print it through his Wi-Fi in seconds. The printer is surprisingly quiet when printing and prints at quite a speedy pace. Scanning was a breeze too. The can quality was great. The OCR software that my recipient uses was able to recognize all the elements correctly. I also like the fact that the HP+ program allows him to never have to worry about running out of ink. It gets delivered to his house before it even runs out! I will surely be considering this printer for my own purchase.

I was using a super old printer the last 20 years and it wasted a ton of space. This 6455e is perfectly small a desk area or anywhere within Wi-Fi reach, no cables running just 1 power wire. I've used this about a week multiple times a day and not 1 hiccup printing pages both color and b&w, some envelopes and recipe card size for the office. I'm impressed. I also used my hot spot for a test too for on the road weeks, and it worked perfectly. This is a great printer. The ink replacement plan is really nice to as it's automatically done, no shopping all over Dallas for oem ink HP instant ink program is a great feature that's highly innovative when it comes to ink replacements at the last minute. To me that works out very well living in big metroplex

It came with instructions to download the HP app, and from there it was super easy. The app literally walks you step by step through the set up. After setting it up, it was super easy to use. I printer pictures from my phone, and I printed some paperwork from my computer. The color is great! I'll also enjoy the 6 months of free ink. You can also sign up for paper delivery,too. The printer must be set up and connected in order to receive the ink. The printer will let you know when it needs ink, and then you simply go on the app, and order. Very convenient! I have been using HP printers for years and mine just needed an upgrade. This printer is wireless and it was easy to connect both my phone and my HP laptop. It prints wonderfully and fast with no paper jams or smudges. The colors are vibrant. There are times when the printer says unavailable, even though it is turned on, I just have to unplug it and plug it back in. There are no buttons on this printer, which I thought was strange, everything has to be done on the phone or computer. Overall it is a good printer and it gets the job done. The instant ink subscription that HP does is a nice offer, it saves me from running out of ink when I don't expect it. It is beyond useful and an innovative idea, especially when living in a small town and the nearest store doesn’t always carry the ink that I need. The best part of the instant ink subscription is that I know when I get the ink delivered, it will be the right ink for my printer!

I first want to say thank you for allowing me to enjoy this very nice all in one printer. As you can see from the pictures, this product was well protected from the HP company. That tells me that they want to make sure that their products arrive in excellent shape getting to the customer. Not too many companies go that extra mile these days. So like I said, the product was taken out of the box and was very easily set up. I had no issues with it whatsoever. Now, I know that it states in all the documentation that it prints 10 pages per minute for black and white printing and 7 pages per minute for colored printing. Maybe I did something wrong but when I printed out a few pictures to test, it took an extremely long time to print them. Possibly because they were photo’s. On to the best features. I like the fact that it wirelessly is set up to monitor your ink usage. It is a cool feature to have so you never run out. As I just received my new printer, it should be a bit until I figure out the different numbers of pages it will really print. I love the fact that it has duplex printing. That is not a feature that my previous printer was capable of completing. Another great feature is that is will scan in up to 35 pages in the automatic document feeder. This is a great feature as I am still working from home and I have to create a lot of records via scanning in documents. That feature will surely make my job a little less hectic. Downloading the smart app, you can control every feature of your printer. That is awesome for my busy life with a toddler. As I am now more into using the printer, it seems to be much quicker. I am yet to copy as I am sure that feature will be quick and easy as well. The main features is that printing out documents and pictures in either black or color print, the pixels seem to be crisp and clear with no blead like older inkjet printers had. HP is an amazing company and I am very happy with the HP ENVY 6455e All In One Printer. As my toddler grows and goes off to school, I’m sure this sturdy amazing printer will be around to print out his pictures and homework for many years to come. I did have a little difficulty with paper loading but after watching the videos using it was easy. It linked with ease to my computer and the AirPrint is amazing. I have also used the HP instant ink. I received a welcome box, which makes it easy to stay with the required ink.I would definitely recommend the ink program its a great way to keep up to date with the printing and keep you from driving around and possibly buying the wrong ink.I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.

The pros: double sided printing is hands free (YAY), paper reservoir is a larger capacity, diagram of how things print out (major plus), quality of the printing is good and the set up was seemless. Cons: one calendar print out and we put a significant dent into the ink but I guess the HP ink system takes care of that. Definitely happy with this purchase it's handling the school projects, homework, business needs, photo prints flawlessly. There just isn't a job this printer has not aced! Rated 5 out of 5 by from wrong info given about it when I bought it over i was told it was exactly as my previous 7640 envy except that it didn't have the screen. the reaseon i had to buy this one is the dimensions had changed and the ner on wouldn't fit in the built in apace on my desk by.11 inches. I was not told i would have to chang paper to print phons or that instead o f just putting the copy as i did befoere i had to put in on top of the printer. It is alot morre inconvenint and I feel I should have been ttold all these things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great everyday printer! The HP envy 6455E was extremely easy to set up. There were few hiccups where it wasn’t connecting or it gave me an error message but overall I was able to set it up. If you get a message that it can't print because the printer is in use: I recommend opening the HP Smart app on the computer. It told me it was because i needed to do an alignment. Other than that, I love the fact that I can print from my phone as well and I appreciate the ink Cartlidge so I don’t have to worry about an ink wastebasket or having the ink dry out on me. As for the price of ink, I’m not sure if this is the right for me because with several applications that I printed out for my daughter, I use about a quarter of the ink already in one day. I didn’t think I printed as many papers. Overall I think for students this is a great printer however as a professional I would only recommend it if you don’t really need high-quality prints. This is a good everyday printer. Cons: Loud and the light looks cool but not in a bedroom (currently in my office) I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback

I specifically bought this printer to print pictures with as it was advertised to and the prints are stripey and grainy. Would return but threw away the packaging.

Is still giving use to having to go to the app to is app to execute any action versus just being able to push a button on the printer look at God
