By receiving both data and power through its POE port, the Allied Telesis unmanaged AT-FS705PD switch eliminates the clutter of local power cables and hardware while reducing the risk of power or data disconnections. In addition to supporting centralized power backup for critical systems, the ATFS705PD switch employs IEEE.3af Power over Ethernet and features full auto-negotiation 10/100 ports which automatically detect speed and duplex modes of attached devices, allowing the switch to automatically configure for the best possible performance.
The POE port enable the transmission of data and power over the same single twisted-pair cable without power sourcing consideration or electric rewires. It also supports local power, using an external power supply for those LANs lacking Power-over-Ethernet capabilities.
Used on a desktop or mounted on a wall, the ATFS705PD is easy to install and does not require software configuration or management.The autosensing ports allow seamless and simple connectivity between existing 10Mbps Ethernet and 100Mbps Fast Ethernet UTP devices, and all units can be installed in minutes.The switch is MDI/MDIX on all ports for simple connection to other hubs and switches. Finally, easy to read front panel LEDs show ongoing switch status and simplify troubleshooting.
