Importer Pro is a powerful utility that is used when applications require the importing of data and/or images, processing COLD or print spool files, performing system conversions, interfacing with multi-function devices, communicating with multiple servers, or polling network folders. Importer Pro can operate unattended and automatically upload content and data into a FileBound server. The functionality of Importer Pro can be extended using VB Scripting with creates limitless configuration and data manipulation options.
Importer Pro can be set up with multiple configurations that can import from multiple sources. An Importer Pro configuration file contains all the job specifications required to perform a required task to import, manipulate, and commit the data or content to a FileBound server. Using multiple configuration files allows Importer Pro to monitor multiple locations and then perform the configured tasks on the data when available. This data can be actual files, images, or a data file that contains only index information. Importer Pro can also import COLD (print spool files) data that has been generated and exported from another system. Importer Pro can be setup to process a COLD file, to extract index information and then automatically upload to a FileBound server. Importer Pro has the ability to add custom scripting to the configuration files which triggers preprocessing of the incoming files prior to selection of the appropriate configuration, processing, and commitment to the FileBound server.
