High-speed, Layer 3 Managed Gigabit Switching
NETGEAR’s reliable, high-performance ProSafe Gigabit Layer 3 Stackable Switch provides maximum throughput and flexibility for demanding networks, with all the Layer 3 features you expect— and the future proofing you want. ProSafe GSM7352S is ideal as a backbone for desktop 10/100 switches, Gigabit servers, or as the robust core of a demanding, all-Gigabit network. The ProSafe Gigabit switch can be used to inexpensively off-load routers that are segmenting your network and lay the groundwork for new IP-based services. The GSM7352S 48 Port Gigabit Switch includes four high-speed module bays. These enable the ability to connect 24 Gigabit stacking interfaces or standard 10GBASE-SR or 10GBASE-LR fiber connectivity through four hot-swappable module bays. The non-blocking design of the switch delivers simultaneous, full wire-speed, low-latency throughput to all ports. Plus, 48Gbps of stacking bandwidth provides expandability to meet your growing network’s needs.
Dynamic Layer 3 switching ensures reliable routing between VLANs and network segmentation where and when you need it. Layer 3 routing combined with Quality of Service, bandwidth provisioning and access control features enable Voice over IP (VoIP) telephony, video conferencing, and other cost-saving applications. In addition, provides both Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switching functionality. For backbone deployments in cost-sensitive organizations that require Layer 3 switching, the flexibility of stacking and additional 10 Gigabit Ethernet capabilities, NETGEAR’s ProSafe 10/100/1000 Layer 3 Stackable switches deliver the ideal high-speed, future-proof solution.
Robust security features include IEEE 802.1x port-based authentication and access control lists, ensuring that only authorized users can access your network. Secure management of the switches is available through Secure Sockets Layer (SSLv3) for the Web GUI and Secured Shell (SSH) for command-line sessions. Additionally, multiple switches can be securely managed via SNMPv3 with NETGEAR’s ProSafe Network Management Software NMS100.
