They contain separate, internal client engines that help reduce resource-intensive processes for the CA ARCserve ARCserve Backup host, serving as a "go-between" that allows CA ARCserve ARCserve Backup to efficiently back up computers running various operating systems.
The CA ARCserve ARCserve Backup Client Agents browse targeted directories in real time and package data to be transported across the wire in pulses of large data packets. The CA ARCserve ARCserve Backup server then prepares the data to be stored on the designated storage devices. These simultaneous processes between the client and the host backup system translate to more efficient backups and reliable restores.
