The Avaya IP Audio Conference Phone 2033 is a full-duplex, handsfree conference phone that can be desktop mounted and offers 360 degree room coverage for rooms up to 20 ft by 20ft (6.1m by 6.1m). With deployment of optional extension microphones, room coverage expands up to 20ft by 30ft (6.1m by 9.14m) in dimension.
The IP Audio Conference Phone 2003 comes with an integrated 3 line x 24 character backlit, 248x68 pixel-based, fully bitmapped, monochrome FSTN1 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) which enhances viewing angles from any position within the room. The bitmapped display offers character definition in support of other language sets such as Latin (supported with this first release). The display is also Asian character set ready.
The Avaya IP Audio Conference Phone 2033 comes standard with ten fixed keys including keys for Line, Release, Hold, Mute, Up/Down Volume, Up/Down Navigation and Services and Inbox/Message. Color coded keys (i.e, Line and Release/Goodbye) match those of other Avaya IP Phones aiding ease-of-use.
The IP Audio Conference Phone 2033 integrates three soft keys into its design. This is different than the four that are standard for Avaya IP Phones 2001, 2002 and 2004. To address this difference for users, in cases where the Avaya Communication Server would present user options to all four soft keys they would see if using another Avaya IP Phone, the IP Audio Conference Phone 2033 then leverages the third softkey as a “shift” key – such that users can toggle between softkey options 0 and 1 (presented on the far left and centermost soft keys) and subsequently options 2 and 3 (again presented on the far left and centermost soft keys) to ensure the four options are presented to them. The “More” soft key function, which enables a user to select from another row of soft keys as presented from their respective Avaya Communication Server, is also supported with the IP Audio Conference Phone 2033 and functionality with the feature is exactly the same as with other Avaya IP Phones.
