Enhances incoming T1 circuits
Campus-RS™ FLEX is an interface module that installs directly into a Campus-RS remote or Campus-RS Star concentrator and provides a multiport local interface capable of supporting a wide range of concurrent data, voice and video applications. Campus-RS FLEX supports a
line speed of 1.544Mbps (T1) and provides the capability to allocate this bandwidth between the single DSX-1 port and the two serial data ports. The DSX-1 provides support for up to 24 voice channels over a T1 backbone. The two serial data ports support a variety of standard
physical interfaces, including RS-449, RS-530, RS-530A, V.35, and X.21, which can be configured to operate at n x 56/64kbps fractional data rates.
With a Campus-RS FLEX installed within a private enterprise network, users can be provided with instant access to advanced digital services including LAN interconnectivity, video conferencing, and PBX extensions all while using the existing copper infrastructure. With Campus-RS FLEX, many of the networking needs of the private enterprise can be satisfied without the need for multiple WAN connections. Interface-specific settings can be accessed and configured from the front panel of the Campus-RS remote or Star concentrator and SNMP-based management is enabled via the Campus-RS Star CMU (Campus Management Unit).
