The new built-in progressive scan camera allows pictures to be taken both in front of and behind the notebook, capturing both still images and motion video. Still images can be saved as BMP, JPEG or GIF. The options for saving 60 second video clips are AVI or animated GIF. Sony Smart Capture software includes special photo options and special effects. Within seconds the software is ready to go and snap photos or capture motion videos. The included DVgate and MovieShaker software lets you capture, easily edit and create full-motion digital movies complete with transitions, effects and music. Sony's integrated V. 90 modem allows you to quickly and easily send your pictures and movies via email to your friends, family and co-workers.
