The Snap Server 12000 is Snap Appliance's latest NAS solution specifically designed to meet the growing data storage needs of medium-sized businesses, corporate departments, educational institutions, government agencies and service providers of all types. The Snap Server 12000 establishes a new industry standard for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) offering nearly one full terabyte of raw capacity in a 3U (5.25 inches high) rack-mountable form factor with features such as hot-swappable hard drives, Gigabit Ethernet, and dual redundant hot-swappable power supplies and fans all for less than $25,000. The Snap Server 12000 has been optimized to perform in storage-intensive environments of 250 or more users delivering instant compatibility with any Windows, UNIX, Linux, NetWare and Macintosh clients on the network. RAID options include RAID 5 (striping with parity), RAID 1 (mirroring) and RAID 0 (data striping) to guarantee maximum data protection and performance.
