Tripp Lite UPS Remote Monitoring and control via SNMP, Web, or Telnet 3.4 5 5 5
Great Product This is a great product for monitoring. Currently in our data center we attempt to manage everything we can virtually so this product was put to great use in the production environment. The only current issue is, every time we make a settings change we seem to be locked out of the system for a great deal of time. Example, after we updated in "Network" the DNS settings we had to wait about 24 hours before we could log into the system again. The same was true when we updated passwords as well. Not sure if this is suppose to work like this or not. However, aside from the 24 hour lock out period following a change the product works well. March 11, 2013
Temperature and Humidity readings can be wrong! This product worked well for a bit. It takes alot fo time in your schedule to get these dialed in. Once you think you do, after alot of rebooting and reseeding the SNMP cards it will work. But there is alot more that doesnt work. The PANMS console service somehow loses communication alot and I have it loaded on a windows XP PC are required by TrippLite. PANMS Console has alot of issues and needs to be restarted often because it loses communications with the SNMP cards.Temperature readings are fine, but the humidity readings are way way off. These cards are never to be trusted. One day these cards are good, but not the next. December 27, 2012
What every UPS should have! This card works very well and has an easy web interface. Using a computer to monitor a UPS is crazy, everything needs to be managed from a network connection. My only complaint is the cost to add this card. Would it really cost that much more to build a network port in every UPS? October 4, 2012
Solid Web Management Card This card works very well for me. It gives me the information that I need. I was able to easily integrate it with Spiceworks, our IT monitoring software. I also use the Envirosense card and use it to double check our facilities based temperature and humidity monitoring. September 5, 2012
Hit or miss product We currently have 79 SNMPWEBCARDS online, and there are some issues that I would like to address. First, we really like the notification sent to us indicating that the unit is on battery power...which lets us know if there is an outage. However, these products are supposed to work in conjunction with the PowerAlert NMS software, which is what we have found to have problems with. The engine/services are constantly going offline while the PANMS program is running, forcing me to repeatedly stop and start the services. We have another NMS product that we use to monitor connectivity and sensors. For our applications, we find these cards to be helpful to notify when incidents happen with our power. As we continue to implement more of our existing cards (we've had them for a few years, so we have a lot of older versions# we are finding that the cards have more and more convenient notification capabilities. Overall I believe this is a good product, but the cost is a bit high for the number of TrippLite UPS's that our organization owns #about 200 units) December 9, 2011
