Excellent Product We renew this product every year because it does exactly what we want it to do for our company. Also, CDW is a great company to go to for all of your product needs. Excellent Product Actually, the fact that it could be downgraded to 2010R3, which is a very good backup product, was the reason for the high rating. That coupled with our rep's excellent customer service (Brian), made us very satisfied with the overall outcome. June 5, 2013
Off-Host Backups We purchased this license simply to enable off host backup, a feature which is bundled with the enterprise server option for 2012. I am a little upset that Symantec doesn't offer ADBO as its own module, but what can you do? November 7, 2012
Feels like a beta, wait for the next update... If you want help with the software post at the forums and you will get helped faster than placing a mid level service call. I'm not sure what Symantec changed with their support, but I feel like I'm being put in a queue and the cases are being pushed to people. Then those people are trying to rush to finish the cases to keep up with thier peers or a quota. All without regards to the customer's experience.The software itself is lacking and has several known issues that won't be fixed till the next release, no hot fixes. This is what happens with beta software. The developers lets you use it and you help by telling them the problems you found. Some problems don't get fixed till the software goes live, but that's how beta works, not software that's going into a live production environment.The KB articles aren't written very well in most situations. They almost always seem to leave out something. I think they assume you know thier product as well as they do. If you are an engineer that specializes in this area you may not have a problem. I have been managing my SMB environment for several years and have never had this many concerns with a product. November 7, 2012

The product is easy to use. The product has a lot of easy to use features. I tested several products and Symantec was the best of them all. It is much smaller on your hard drive and loads only 1 service on boot up. You can disable the schedule service in msconfig and the program will still work. When you start the restore program, it searches all hard drives for backups that it can restore and displays them for you to select, nice! The phone support is excellent and is free for one year. The only negative is you must enter your serial number each time when using the "bootable recover disk" downloaded from their site.Overall, you can't go wrong with a company that started with Ghost over 10 years ago!!! Backup Exec is the standard for Server Backup Backup Exec is one of the more reliable applications we use. The only thing we have to do is change the tapes every day. The backups always run and we've not had any issues restoring files. We will definitely continue to use the product.Our CDW account manager did an excellent job pricing the product. CDW was extremely proactive finding the right solution for our needs. October 24, 2012
I've never had good experiences with BE. Unreliable and expensive. Expensive would be okay if it was amazingly reliable. August 10, 2012
