SIIG's FireWire 2-Port ExpressCard allows you to instantly add two FireWire 400 (1394a) ports to your ExpressCard-enabled desktop or notebook computer. The FireWire 2-Port ExpressCard delivers serial bus data transfer rates of up to 400Mbps, supports both asynchronous and isochronous data transfer modes, and allows you to hot-swap devices (connect and disconnect) without first turning your system off. It works with a variety of FireWire 400 (1394a) devices such as DV camcorders, CD-RW/DVD-ROMs, portable hard disk drives, digital cameras, and other audio/video devices. The FireWire 2-Port ExpressCard works with systems having an available 34mm or 54mm ExpressCard slot.

The FireWire 2-Port ExpressCard is powered by Ti XIO2200 chip and fully supports IEEE 1394-1995, P1394a-2000, OHCI 1.1 standards, and is RoHS compliant.

The FireWire 2-Port ExpressCard is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows and Mac OS operating systems.
