Remote installation, configuration, and knowledge transfer for one (1) Drobo B1200i Solution for a single site PROJECT GOALS
The goals for this project include the following services.
1. Remotely coordinate and plan Drobo solution to integrate with existing infrastructure and SAN
2. Remotely install and configure one (1) Drobo SAN
3. Remotely configure and test one (1) server connection for validation
4. Provide knowledge transfer for Drobo SAN solution
EXPECTATIONS
In order for the project to be successful, Promark Technology will require the following from the customer:
• Remote access to all systems included in this project (VPN or RDP preferred) – prior to project kick-off
• Remote console support (hardware and supported OS or network) for each device to be configured – prior to project kick-off
• Proposed networking scheme with IP address ranges to be used for each device, management network – delivered one week prior to install date
• All hardware for this project will be available - prior to project kick-off
• All hardware and supported operating systems will meet Veeam’s compatibility and support requirements.
• Existing network switches/ports configured as defined in networking scheme by customer staff – prior to project kick-off
• Provide application and system configuration level knowledge for the current environment
• All replication and backup resources must be locally accessible via standard Ethernet LAN technology
• Promark will not troubleshoot any hardware or software that is not functioning prior to the installation
• Each server OS is required to be newly installed and licenses (no other software can be present before installation)
• The customer is responsible for backups of their existing environment prior to installation
WORK BREAKDOWN (BY TASK)
Task 1 – Site assessment and solution design
Gathering all pertinent data about the following:
• Servers and applications
• Network Infrastructure
• Storage requirements
• Review of existing environment’s design, implementation, and dependencies
This task will involve interviews, surveys of the environment, and collecting all the necessary data in tabular format.

Task 2 – Pre-installation Hardware configuration (customer’s responsibility)
Install, configure, and validate proper functionality of any applicable component
• SAN Switch (cables, ports, configuration)
• Customer iSCSI initiators
Run system diagnostics tools to validate hardware prior to software installation and configuration. Install all required firmware for each component, if necessary. Install any required cables for internal and external access.

Task 3 – Drobo hardware and dashboard Installation and Configuration
1. Validate hardware configuration before beginning software installation based on initial design requirements from task 1
2. Connect Drobo SAN into storage network as designed in task 1
3. Installation of Drobo dashboard onto management server.
4. Configuration of Drobo iSCSI network.
5. Configure and test LUNs to existing customer server – limited to 3 servers/LUNs

Task 4 – Training and Documentation
NPS will provide the customer with basic configuration document and knowledge transfer on the entire project encompassing this scope of work.
