Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard - license 4.4 5 200 200
UI aside, this is exactly what Microsoft needed to release. The file system improvements alone are well worth it to me. I've done several installations on small and medium businesses and it's gone far more smoothly than '08 ever did. I do wish there were still a small business server option though. November 6, 2014
Great bit of kit and a massive improvement on normal Server 2012, still though i prefer the interface of 2008r2 October 30, 2014
Excellent OS! didn't have any problems so far, using the Data Center edition and just love the fact that we can host unlimited Hyper V vm's on the OS. October 23, 2014
When it originally launched I was skeptical at how "simple" it looked in comparison to the previous "classic interface" from Windows 2000 Server onwards (up to 2008 R2). Wrongly, I dismissed 2012 thinking it was awful and would be another OS that needed me to completely re-train the way I get around the system...however, hands up, I admit I was wrong.Server 2012 and 2012 R2 are both fantastic (Though I would recommend anyone to use R2 now). It's packed full of new and improved features and roles, one of my favourites being Hyper-V which has vastly improved. It also runs well on older hardware, as well as on a Type 1 hypervisor (so far currently booting in about 1-2 minutes).I'd now only ever use 2012 R2 as it looks, feels and performs far superior to it's predecessors. After early worries and after years of using SBS as our platform of choice for servers i am very surprised at how much i like 2012. Yes theres still some parts i hate but overall i am more than happy. October 22, 2014
A new version of Windows Server that makes it look like windows 8, so you know it has to be a good one. October 17, 2014
A simly awesome addition to the Windows Server family. Rock solid in every sense of the word.So many features that help to make it an absolute workhorse in any environment especially with the emphasis on VM's in todays age of computing. October 16, 2014
Not a bad effort by Microsoft. The management of this new server software is pretty good with some very effective tools. October 15, 2014
